We used 1/4" white birch instead of the standard Masonite board the closet came with. We color matched the stain to make sure it would match well. We stained it and attached it. It gave the closet a very secure and sturdy backing. We also ordered the doors of the closet from a local shop to make sure the fronts of the cabinets had the luxury look we wanted. I am very happy with the results.
