XnKradstI just freaking love this theme. And I'm sick of not being able to find a version of it where the Challenge Stage's music is merged together with the regular music. So here it is, as KH Insider just uploaded the tracks, which I used Audacity to merge the two together.
Yeah, I know, copyrights. I really don't see what's wrong with uploading video game music, especially when it's a 1980s arcade game. Because who the hell pays for a game just to hear its music, it's not like you can "play" the game for free on this video.
Credits to Namco for the game and songs themselves, and KH Insider for ripping them. All I did here was merge them into one continuous track.

In this case, new obstacles and gimmicks. Basically code injection, I guess. If anyone wants to give it a shot, I recommend using the 2012 .exe version (NOT LD-only) to ensure everything in the level works correctly. Link to the .exe version: drive.google.com/file/d/0B3G4W3T9HE_KVE9BVnZpUXJMUGc/view Should work on the Newgrounds version too, but the .exe version is recommended. .-.. . ...- . .-.. -... -.-- -..- -. -.- .-. .- -.. ... - .- -.- .- ..-. --- .-. --. --- - - . -. .- -.- .- -.-- --- ..- .-. ... - .-. ..- .-.. -.-- Runouw/PixelLoaf Discord: discord.gg/tZk8gcE GitHub page for the mod used in the video: github.com/XnKradst/63LDMods Other mods (mostly by Jhynjhiruu, not used here): github.com/Runouw-Modders/SM63-ModsSuper Mario 63 Custom Level Fail Compilation - Disguised: The Far RightXnKradst2019-06-06 | Level code: pastebin.com/Z5SJn2Eh I said I was gonna make a compilation of my fails on that last level, but I didn't really have the time to do it until now, so here it is.
I don't usually take requests, but I was asked to do this level and I haven't touched Super Mario 63 in a while, so I don't see why not.
Anyway, I wanted this out as soon as possible, so there won't be any editing, captioning or fails and outtakes at the end.Pixel Crash Bandicoot (Formerly 8-bit Crash)XnKradst2017-12-03 | I made some small progress on my old unfinished Crash fan game, but I never really bothered sharing until now.
This video shows the 4 existing levels in the game, one of which is still unfinished: N. Sanity Beach, Jungle Rollers, Boulders and (literally) Road to Nowhere.
Yes, I know I used the Turtle Woods theme from Crash Bandicoot 2 for Jungle Rollers, it's intentional because I plan on including Crash 2 and 3 inspired levels and I was gonna use Turtle Woods for all jungle-themed levels.
Formerly called """""8-bit"""" Crash", it's now "Pixel Crash Bandicoot" because I suck at pixel art so much I can't really work around the strict "3 colors per sprite" limit of an NES. A lot of the graphics are still in their "pretentious 8-bit forms", especially the enemies and wumpa fruits. I'll need time to update those.
Some objects use flickering to simulate transparency (not that I can't use actual transparency, but flickering just has that "retro" feel), however, my recording software ("Crash Bandicam") wasn't able to capture the flickering correctly, so you'll see some weird graphical effects in this video (e.g. the crate debris).
I replaced the previous custom music with MIDIs loaded through GXSCC. Most would look down on using GXSCC, but hey at least they sound better than the horrible dissonant soundtrack that is my half-assed attempt to chiptunes.
Also, if you're actually reading this, congratulations, you're among the few intelligent people on this planet who knows how to read descriptions. So I'm going to make it clear, this is a WIP project that I most likely never will finish. It's made for fun as a hobbyist, so please don't ask for a download link, as none exist yet.
Thanks for reading.Crash Bandicoot 1 - Extra Lives Trick/Glitch (Original PS1 Version)XnKradst2017-07-16 | A little "glitch" I found in the original version of Crash Bandicoot. This glitch works in a way akin to the "Extra Items Cheat" from Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and Crash Bandicoot: Warped. Considering the game has been around for over two decades, I'm sure someone already knows this, but no one's made a video (or I couldn't find one) covering it so I did.
To be honest the only thing "glitchy" about it is how the torches act like they are enemies, and unlike the turtles, they increase the "combo variable" as Crash bounces on them constantly. Otherwise, the whole combo thing is completely normal. I'd consider this a trick/exploit rather than a glitch.
Anyways, I'm kind of curious if the same trick still works in the N. Sane Trilogy, but I don't own a PS4 yet so I wouldn't know.Super Mario 63 Community Levels - 0002XnKradst2017-02-08 | LEVELS PLAYED: 00:04 - "Giddy Glade" by SuperMarioJryGX 04:14 - "Super Mario Frustration" by johnjohn 05:56 - "Eruption - Snowflake City" by superdrew12 08:40 - "Shine Cavern" by Dubster108 10:10 - "hi first level" by potato243 12:04 - "63 Silver Stars in Space v2.0" by Dubster108 13:38 - "Goomba Battlefield" by That One Goat 19:09 - "Bowser's secret castle" by mrfunnylaughs4 21:13 - "Bowser's Other Castle" by Noobwithafez 25:03 - "Crazy Thwomps" by KavinLahrs 25:51 - "8 Red Coin Challenge" by W!F! !S G00D 33:33 - "Trick or Treat" by Nuclear_Blaze 38:27 - "The Catacombs" by Forgotten 46:39 - "~Spooky Heights" by Jumbo101 51:48 - "Moonshine Tower" by FluorescenceLight 55:30 - "Eruption - Enterance" by superdrew12 58:42 - "Mark Volcano" by SuperGroudon 1:00:44 - "Bowser's Airship" by Leeo
LEVELS SKIPPED: "63 Silver Stars in Space" by Dubster108 - Reason: It's just an earlier version of a level that WAS played, so I'm not really gonna bother with this. "Go to the Space Garden" by John - Reason: This level is rather lengthy and way too challenging to complete in one run. Not to mention the FLUDD water is insufficient if you use it too much. "Fire Towers Adventure" by John - Reason: John why does every one of your levels have to be so damn punishing?
Those levels were skipped in this video because of reasons stated above, but they may be played in the future. Some of these do show up in the outtakes though...

But hey, that doesn't mean I shouldn't play it, right? Since the majority of Super Mario 63-related videos on YouTube are just the same old story mode typically played by some chipmunk, I'm honestly tired of that. Clearly, the game's only lived on for its level designer, and so I feel like doing a series of videos showcasing the community-made levels. I will be playing as many custom levels as I can. And yes, I will ONLY play levels posted on the Runouw community/forums.

LEVELS SKIPPED: "Risky Moves" by maaaaarrrrriiiiio - Reason: This level has a puzzle that involves math, and honestly I'm not a math person. Also, if I was to take my time to calculate the math at the end, it's going to slow the video down significantly. "Super Mario Frustration" by johnjohn - Reason: This is some Kaizo-level hard, I'm not ready to do it in one try... yet. "Around Bowser's Castle 3" by John - Reason: It's unforgivingly hard, and I couldn't figure out where exactly I'm supposed to go. "Giddy Glade" by SonicMarioJryGX - Reason: It's not exactly that hard as it has a checkpoint system, but I'd rather beat it in one try, which I couldn't for now. The tipping platforms section is a nightmare though.
Those levels were skipped in this video because of reasons stated above, but they may be played in the future. Some of these do show up in the outtakes though...

Thus there are no download links, sorry.SMAS - Super Mario Bros Worlds 1 and 2 with 1 ControllerXnKradst2015-11-02 | I was bored so I decided to run two instances of the SNES emulator, both running the same game but with different levels. Then I attempted to beat both worlds with one controller. I failed in the third level anyway. The video lags a lot because my laptop is slow, and obviously I have two emulators and a recording software opened. The lag is real!
This video is unlisted, I'll only make it public if I successfully beat both worlds (1-4 and 2-4). EDIT: Forget it, I published it because where's the "retrogaming" part?My WIP Crash Bandicoot Fan GameXnKradst2015-09-17 | Just a kuick video of my Crash fan game. The music used here is taken from an actual Crash game, so YouTube will probably detect it. But hey, it's just an unlisted video!
You must be crazy if you think that unanimated Crash sprite isn't a placeholder.Mario GalaxianXnKradst2015-09-16 | A remake of my horrible 2011 game "Mario Galaxian". The original game was a giant pile of crap that I no longer wish to talk about. So here's a preview of the remake. Playable version 1.1 can be found on my crappy forums at the little corner: http://xnr3.jcink.net
We all know the music is property of Nintendo, and if there's a strike, I'm fine with it. It's not like anyone's going to find my obscure little channel anyway, let alone this video. Though I am sure Content ID will detect it easily.
