shapiro127 2015-03-05 | Every day at 8:44 AM at the Sennichimae platform of Nipponbashi station, this man sits down on the end seat of the bench in front of the 4th door of the 2nd car of the train. He first feels the seat with the back of his hand, hits the seat with his newspaper repeatedly, and then sits down as the train doors close. I have no idea why he does this. He always wears the clothes and gloves you see here. Also I've stood behind him on the train before and saw that the newspaper he reads is horse racing results. He has been doing this for at least 1 year.

Preposterous escalator safety video in Osaka airport

shapiro127 2010-07-08 | Hi! My name is Gavin Shapiro and I like making motion graphics. I currently live in New York City and work for The Onion, creating motion graphics for their upcoming TV show on IFC. Over the past year and a half, I've worked on their Onion News Network videos as well as their newly released Future: News from the Year 2137 video. I also recently spent 7 months at @radical.media, where I worked on projects for Axe, MTV, LG, and Citibank.

I usually work in After Effects, Cinema 4D, Photoshop, and Final Cut Pro. I'm familiar with SynthEyes, and I dabble in Illustrator. My French is much better than my Japanese so I'd like to move to Paris before I move to Tokyo.
