The first 9% by itself is probably comparable to a Hard/Very Hard tier extreme demon. It took me 3 days to pass it once, but after that it became insanely consistent and I ended up passing it 34 times total during days 3 and 4. A lot of this part's difficulty comes from the fact that the gameplay fades into vision once its already 25% of the way onto the screen, which effectively turns the first 10% into a memory level. As a result, this part feels so much harder than it needs to be at first, but eventually it becomes extremely consistent. This part is literally just the definition of 'trust the process'.
10%-40% at a first glance seems like a really, really boring part to play, but that is far from the truth. This part has 10 different videos in the background that play in a random order. In each video, there is a 50% chance for a 'suspicious figure' to appear (that is, a stick man with a bluetooth logo for a head). During this part, you have the option to fly into the upper or lower screen border to transport yourself into the video, which turns you mini and prevents you colliding with the structures. The way this part plays is that if you see the suspicious figure in the video, you must not enter the video. If you do not see the suspicious figure, you must enter the video before some black needles kill you, which is easily seen at 3:11 in the completion. After the needles appear, you are safe to leave the video before the next one starts. On top of this the figure has 3 possible spawn places in each video, which means it isn't necessarily as simple as learning where its spawn position is, and while you can learn all its spawns, it would take quite a long time to find them all. This is an absolutely perfect gimmick for this part of the song, as despite the base gameplay being really easy, the fact that you have to keep an eye out for the figure keeps you very engaged.
41%-65% is a sort of a consistency test, nothing here is really too difficult and I would estimate that 10-65 as a whole is no harder than insane demon. That being said, you can still choke here. The ship control required is pretty unforgiving and you can't really drop your focus too much outside of the break parts given to you from 41-45 and 60-65. The path I take around the black spheres at 46% are for 3 collectible stars that add some additional orbs at the very ending to collect the coin. Obviously this is optional, however I would recommend taking the coin as it doesn't make the ship that much harder and the coin at the end skips the last 2 pink orbs which are the hardest clicks of the ending. The orb ship at 51% isn't all too difficult, but you should be very aware that the hitboxes of the scaled up orbs are a lot larger than you might expect. The yellow orb at 4:55 was especially susceptible to this, and it killed me a couple times. For the most part though, this section is pretty chill and gives you time to clear your head for the drop.
66%-82% is where the drop section lies, and reaching this from zero is such a crazy feeling. The only thing that was noticeably harder than everything else at the drop was the transition into and out of the 72% dual, but eventually I found some click patterns that lined up the ship and UFO the same way each time. Passing the dual and reaching the ship at 77% is where nerves will absolutely skyrocket, and this is where I started to breathe rather heavily. Playing the ending of the drop from zero is an indescribable feeling and creates such an incredible climax for the level.
83%-93% concludes the level (the rest is endscreen) and the nerves that built up at the end of the drop will plateau here as you finish off the level with some relatively easy timings. That being said, they can still kill you if you aren't focused, but realistically speaking you will be very focused once you reach here. Like I said before, I would recommend taking the coin as it removes the risk of dying to the hardest clicks of the ending, the last two pink orbs.
This is my new favourite level by far, and nothing else comes close. Each part of the level invokes a different feeling that when combined into the span of a single attempt is an experience you won't find anywhere else. While the balancing may put people off, I can assure you everything becomes very consistent and is the best possible balancing this level could have to really carry the feeling of the song. While I know this won't be for everyone, I urge anyone interested to give this a try.

Now, similarly to Specthys, this level is actually intended to be beaten solo. However, just like Specthys, this level plays really well with a second player and due to its difficulty I would prefer to beat it with a friend as that is more enjoyable to me.
This level is 3 levels bundled into 1, hence why there are three different songs. These levels are as follows, and are all uploaded individually on the creator's account:
Waning Patience - 0% to 38%
Comfort After Death - 38% to 74%
Swoop - 74% to 100%
Despite the fact that they are all individual levels, they all work together really well and if Gecko hadn't told me they were all their own individual parts, I wouldn't have known. I would absolutely recommend giving this level a try with either a friend or by yourself. This level only received one victor and that was before it was rated, Gecko and I are the first people to complete as a duo and also the first after rate. I would love to see this one receive more attention.

That being said, this level has a lot of very apparent gameplay flaws that you would only ever discover in a hacked verification. The predrop does have its chokepoints, but they are nothing too crazy. The issues come from a very poorly designed set of orb timings at 50% on Gecko's side, and a very awkward ship manoeuvre at 77% on my side. Both of these raise the difficulty of the level immensely, and really don't do the level any favours in terms of how fair it is to play. Everything else is totally fine but its a real shame that two things drag it down as much as they do.
Those issues aside, I did enjoy this a lot more coming back to it. That being said, I would recommend staying away from this level unless you have a lot of patience and are way above its skill level, as this would get really frustrating. This was definitely the only 2 player extreme demon that at no point during playtime did it feel like a completion was close.
Also the mic audio kinda bugs out near the end of the completion due to Shadowplay being stupid, sorry 😭

I didn't make any changes to the gameplay, and while I did take 1 or 2 skips from the intended route for the sake of consistency, I am so surprised as to how this level manages to even have functional gameplay, and on top of that the gameplay is incredibly fun and consistent. I will say that the parts around 30-50 were rather disorienting to learn, but aside from that I loved playing this and I hope others can enjoy it too. Be careful for the last ship though, it is quite hard LOL

I found this to be much better than what I had heard about the level, but I really did not like how overly done the shaders were. I do understand the theming of the level, but the shaders (especially in the last dual) were so flashy and obstructive it got a bit irritating at times. The last dual was so harsh with the shader usage you can barely see your icon, and this is the case to a slightly lesser degree earlier in the level too. I had so many unnecessary deaths to the last dual simply because I couldn't see anything at all, which wasn't very fair in my opinion.
That aside, I did quite like the base gameplay and I did overall enjoy my experience with it. That being said, I'm not sure if I could recommend this to others, especially if they don't deal well with flashes.

Now, some people in this event did actually enjoy the level, but I really, really did not. In my opinion, the level's average enjoyment was completely justified since the level is crammed with chokepoints and feels extremely unplaytested. Playing this felt like I had just been giving an unnerfed level that had just been finished being built and needed playtesting before verification.
I also found this absurdly underrated in difficulty, as I think it is harder then The Rupture but easier than CITRA, making it my personal 5th hardest. I would not recommend this to anyone ever! :D

Unfortunately, Smiffy's side seemed to have some rather inconsistent chokepoints, the two most notable being the red orb at 58% and the last UFO click at 72%. On top of that, the predrop was a real drag as not only was it over an entire minute long, it contained some very rough timings, most notably the ball clicks on the slopes at 19% and 21%. This made it rather dull for the person playing, and not very exciting for the other player since they just had to sit and wait.
On top of the balancing issues and chokepoints, we got rather unlucky on our completions, both dying to the piggyback dual at the end twice on each completion, with many other deaths scattered around the last 25% to random bullshit such as lagspikes, kill walls not disappearing, etc. Obviously, our experience was not the best and this does not reflect on the level itself, but I thought I would mention it to explain why we didn't enjoy it as much. This would definitely be a lot more enjoyable if you don't throw to the ending as much as we did LOL
Despite the experience, I am super happy this got rated as 2 player extremes are very few and far between and I personally think we need many more. This level is such a classic and I am very happy that this finally got the rate it deserves.
Also, all the solo parts are done by me in this recording despite using Smiffy's icons. My icons in the dual are played by me, but there was no way around this in the dual icons mod.

I am happy this got rated though, as regardless of its quality it is a notable piece of the game's history as during 2.0 most top extreme demons were just hack uploaded. If this had been rated upon release, we would have never seen Sakupen Hell placed at #1, and since a lot of top extreme's placements were extremely questionable at the time, its likely it would have stayed at #1 until the verification of Sonic Wave.
Obviously, I wish it had received its rate when it came out, but I'm happy it happened now rather than not at all. That being said, I would not recommend playing it lol it's really bad

Out of the 4 of us, only me and MeowMasterer beat the level, which was unfortunate but hopefully Gecko and Cejelost can finish it sometime as well. VoltreN also intended to join us but was unable to, so I hope she can beat it sometime too!
This was certainly an experience, but it was pretty fun to play with others. I will say though, as obvious as this might seem, it dragged out for much too long. If this was around 3-4 hours long it would be a lot more bearable but with completions ranging from 5 to 6 hours (or 6 and a half in my case), it gets rather dull. That being said, I would recommend trying this out with friends, just expect a long session lol

This level has some of the most satisfying gameplay I have ever played. On top of that, it is playtested so well to the point where the gameplay doesn't even feel that challenging, which made it really hard to decide on how hard I found it. The last 33% is probably the hardest third of the level, but you can get there so consistently that it didn't feel like a chore at all despite my multiple deaths to the ending.
This level is also completely solo created and verified, which to me really adds a lot to its character. In terms of design, the level looks really well polished for a grayscale level, and while I do think this level could be enhanced visually with some stronger pulses, shake triggers, and some dark shades of crimson in the structures, as it stands it looks really nice and it's clear a lot of care was put into its creation.
This is my new favourite level in the game, which had previously stood as Storming Summit for two and a half years or so. I wish I could put into words just how satisfying the gameplay is to pull off, but the best I could do is boost the volume of my click sounds while editing to show just how well synced it is to the song. I highly, highly recommend anyone who is good enough to play this level to give it a try, as despite being unrated I know this would become a favourite for a lot of people. Zoink Doink, the first victor of the level around 7 months ago, called it 'the most fun extreme I have ever played', and VoltreN who beat it an hour or so before me said 'this is the most fun raw gameplay I have ever played.'
Needless to say, while I am sure this won't be enjoyed by everyone due to the last 33% being the hardest third, this is some of the best reception I have ever seen towards a level of this difficulty. I really hope this can get rated soon, as it has gone undeservedly unnoticed for far too long.

In the nicest way possible, this level feels rather uninteresting due to the entire drop just being rotating squares with spikes on. That is literally all I can think to say on it as unfortunately nothing else about it really stands out to me, and the song is really not good in my opinion. It felt as though the structures were just placed without playing the level at all and then just moved around so that a path works. I would not recommend this level :(

1. me when machine gang
2. We Are Not The Same (as player 2)
3. Crystal Crusher
I am aware that Crystal Crusher is typically considered the hardest one, but WANTS was extremely mentally taxing on me, and MWMG was extremely rough in the balancing department. CrCr was very well balanced and if it weren't for the bug it would have gone by even quicker, and to me it just doesn't really compare to the other two. Take these opinions with a grain of salt however, as all 2 player levels (with the exception of WANTS) are going to be very differing opinions depending on the skill level of the player you are playing with. To add to that, WANTS is very hard to compare as it doesn't even feel like a 2 player level as I was doing all of the difficulty, with the aspect of another player adding to the mental pressure.
Overall, now that I have completed all classic 2 player extremes that are created with the intent of being played by two people, I would highly recommend each and every one of them with the exception of We Are Not The Same. I can't say that any one of them was flawless in the gameplay department as they all had their downsides, but they were all very unique experiences that if you get the chance to play with a friend, you absolutely should.
As an additional note, Gecko and I also completed the formerly rated 2 player extreme demon WOBBLING MACHINE by Smarted following an unexplainably lucky completion. We only completed this on his account as I was really bad at the predrop and didn't feel like beating it again on my account due to it being unrated. If you would like to see that completion, you can do so on his channel.

This level is honestly quite cool and I think the creative choices it makes do work very well, my only gripe of the level being that the dual ship is really awkward to control due to the size portal spam. Everything else plays very well, although the Firework ship at the end is harder than the one in Firework due to the transition into it and the straight fly at the end. Aside from that, this was a really interesting experience although there is a very high chance my enjoyment could have tanked immensely with a lot of ending deaths.

To summarise what my part played like, the ship at the start of the drop killed off a good portion of drop attempts, and then the mini UFO shortly after was structured very poorly due to the blocks above and below the gravity portals being much too difficult to avoid consistently. That was followed by a very chokable wave which was made much more difficult by the fact that Smiffy and I had to share the desk space and as a result the monitor angle was not very optimal. After that, the part with the laser deco was extremely inconsistent to play due to some of the clicks being very awkward, namely the second jump and the orbs following it. The second jump was designed to be a hold as far as I could tell, yet sometimes when holding the icon would not jump, and even when doing the click on its own without holding the icon sometimes refused to jump anyway. If you manage to pass that, the chain of orbs right after required buffering in very quick succession or else the dash orb would become misaligned and kill you. Everything after that declines in difficulty significantly, but the gameplay as a whole was very awkward and did not feel 100% consistent, so while fluking is very feasible its not something you can bank on.
To reiterate, those are only the issues I encountered on my part of the level. Smiffy's part was as I mentioned a low end hard demon, and aside from one or two things he said it played very well. The issue is that the balancing was so immensely skewed to my half that it got very very boring for him as it was essentially just him playing the same easy level for multiple hours whilst hoping I wouldn't die to the many balancing issues that I encountered. I would estimate that at most 5% of our attempts were a result of Smiffy dying and all of the others were me, a testament to just how boring it might have gotten for him. If you want to beat this level with someone, then make sure whoever does the hard demon side has a very strong mentality because I can only imagine their experience would not be ideal at all.
We beat this on Smiffy's account first, and that completion took multiple hours. We got relatively unlucky with a handful of second half deaths, so after that we took a break and played on my account to beat some 2p insane demons along with DICHOTOMY. Eventually, I was due to catch my train home but we had around an hour of time to kill so Smiffy suggested we might as well give this level a try again, and we luckily managed to knock it out in approximately 20 minutes after fluking from 38%.
Sorry for the lengthy description, I just really wanted to give out my thoughts on this one. With this being the 10th extreme demon I have beaten with a friend, I thought I was starting to get a very good feel for how the completion process of these levels go, but this one caught me off guard as it was very unlike all the others (one might even say It Is Not The Same XDDDDDDD). While Horros was the most unenjoyable of the 10, that was solely due to 2.2 bugs that have since been fixed after I beat it with Gecko and would likely be not too bad now. As a result, this is the first 2 player extreme I would actively recommend avoiding as the difficulty balancing is just straight up not fair at all for either player. One person has to essentially do all of the work while never being able to stay 100% consistent, and the other player has to mindlessly grind out an easy level just waiting for it to end. Really not an ideal situation for either person to be honest.
