Mamou Mardi Gras Riders return to town 2013 fastpilot 2013-02-14 | The Courir de Mardi Gras riders of Mamou, LA, and their band, return victorious after a hard day of riding, dancing, drinking, and chicken chasing.They were on the ride over six hours, which explains why a few of them look a little worse for the wear.Somehow we missed their departure from Mamou. Not knowing which direction they headed, we were able to track them by following the trail of horse shit and beer cans in the street. Sure enough, we found them all at the Piggly Wiggly. After watching them head out of town, we circled around and caught their arrival at T-Boys, a great Cajun butcher shop just out of town. While there, we picked up some hot Boudin and cracklins.The riders departed T-Boy's, off to find more chickens and we headed back to town. Six hours later they made it back, and here is the video.
