I Turned My Leftover Paint Into This Magical Landscape FroyleArt-Fluid 2025-10-14 | In today’s video, I’m turning a collection of leftover fluid paint into something completely new — a landscape with a twist.I start by layering cool blue tones and pearl white across the canvas, creating the feeling of a luminous sky. Earthy tones flow across the base, grounding the piece and hinting at the land below. With a bold black swipe and a bronze shimmer, texture begins to form — and suddenly, a landscape starts to emerge.Wispy clouds appear with pearl white, and once dry, I add a layer of interference gold mixed with Liquitex Pouring Medium, creating a delicate glaze that shimmers and shifts with the light. A metallic gold crane takes its place in the foreground, symbolising courage and renewal.But I don’t stop there — turquoise and antique gold spray paint, along with my script stencil, add depth, mystery, and meaning. Stencil First, Pour Second – An Imprint Pour Technique FroyleArt-Fluid 2025-12-20 | Today I’m creating a fluid art painting using a technique I call an imprint pour. I start by applying a stencil to the canvas with heavy gloss gel, creating texture first so it remains visible after the paint is poured. I then pour warm metallic colours of bronze and copper, moving the paint with a hair dryer before adding deeper tones of rust, magenta red, and metallic gold. Don’t Stop at One Pour – Add a Second Layer for Stunning Depth FroyleArt-Fluid 2025-11-08 | In today’s video, I’m working on a fluid art painting using leftover paints in soft, beautiful shades of blue. The first pour created a beautiful painting — full of gentle movement, texture, and light. But when it dried, I felt there was more waiting to be discovered, more creative possibilities to explore.So, instead of stopping there, I decided to keep creating. I mixed Liquitex Pouring Medium with acrylic inks to build a transparent glaze layer in iridescent pearl white, deep violet, and blue. This second layer added incredible depth and shimmer, transforming the painting completely. A final mist of Antique Iridescent Gold spray paint brought everything to life — rich, luminous, and full of dimension.This painting reminded me why it’s worth pushing through the first response, the first pour, because sometimes the magic only appears in the next layer. You’ve Never Seen Fluid Art Like This Before! FroyleArt-Fluid 2025-10-21 | In today’s video, I’m creating an Imprint Pour inspired by the quiet beauty of trees. I begin by spraying a tree stencil across the canvas in turquoise, forming the first layer of texture and pattern. Then I pour a flowing mix of fluid paints in shades of blue and white pearl, blending opaque colours with transparent glazes to create depth and movement. Adding clear pouring medium allows the layers to reveal hints of the stencil beneath — like glimpses through mist and light.When the painting dries — perfectly smooth with no cracks — I add another tree stencil on top in shimmering metallic silver. This final layer brings contrast and depth, as if distant trees are emerging behind a glistening veil. This Turned Out Incredible FroyleArt-Fluid 2025-06-26 | Today in the studio, I’m experimenting with something a little different—combining the smooth flow of fluid art with the rich texture of crackle paste. I start by applying a thick layer of crackle medium to the lower section of my canvas and let it dry until it forms that beautiful, weathered surface. Once the cracks appear, I brush over it with my favourite iridescent bronze, letting the shine settle into all those natural lines and textures.On the upper half of the canvas, I pour a dynamic mix of black, metallic bronze, pewter, and pearlescent white, swirling the colours to create movement and contrast. I add a touch of Liquitex acrylic spray paint for extra texture, and then swipe through the paint with black to give it more depth and drama. To protect the crackle layer without altering its colour, I seal it with clear Liquitex pouring medium—a subtle but powerful finish.The result is a striking contrast between smooth and textured, shiny and matte, subtle and bold. And to bring it all to life, I top it off with a layer of Liquid Glass, which gives the piece that final shimmering finish. FroyleArt-Fluid 2025-05-24 | Today I’m experimenting with mixed media fluid art techniques to create a bold and beautiful painting using acrylic spray paint, stencils, and fluid pours—and I’m calling it an Imprint Pour. I begin with a black background, then spray one of my custom stencil designs using Liquitex antique gold acrylic spray paint, building a textured base I want to preserve. To keep that layer visible beneath the fluid pour, I cover it with clear Liquitex pouring medium, creating a protective imprint beneath the surface.Next, I pour a palette of magenta, two rich reds, iridescent copper, bronze, black, and grey, tilting the canvas carefully to flow around the preserved stencil layer. I add swipes for texture, spray on a little more antique gold, and finish with a quick blast from my mini hair dryer to enhance the movement and depth.Once dry, I top the entire piece with a coat of liquid glass for that ultra-glossy finish and colour vibrancy. I Added Alcohol Ink to My Fluid Art… Look What Happened! FroyleArt-Fluid 2025-05-03 | Inspired by the iridescent beauty of the Pāua shell, today’s fluid art painting is a journey through shades of blue, turquoise, and shimmering pearlescent textures.I start with a straight pour, layering fluid paints into a cup and pouring directly onto the canvas. Using a mix of cool blues, turquoise, and a pearl pour mix, I tilt the canvas to create organic patterns that shift and flow like the ocean. The pearl pour reacts beautifully, forming organic textures that shimmer beneath the surface.To deepen the dimension, I add a second layer once the painting is dry—pouring in deep turquoise mixed with pouring medium, enhancing the movement and depth. The 5 Minute Hair Dryer Technique That Will Change Your Art Forever FroyleArt-Fluid 2025-04-05 | I finally tried the hair dryer blow out technique—and WOW! In this video, I use a hair dryer for the very first time in my fluid art practice, and the results totally surprised me.Using a mix of metallic bronze, pearlescent white, and black, I poured the colours into a central puddle on the canvas. I added a touch of acrylic enamel to the black to encourage beautiful pearl cell textures, then used the hair dryer to blow the paint outward into dynamic, flowing shapes.As the piece developed, it started to look like a cosmic explosion, so I leaned into the space theme by adding touches of my favourite gold acrylic spray paint. Once dry, I finished the painting with a shimmering gold glaze made by mixing gold acrylic into Liquitex pouring medium, adding an ethereal glow.And just like that… Supernova was born!
