This video contains enlisted personnel in private, off duty and as a result there is naturally some swearing particularly given the high adrenaline of the situation. We were seated on a barrier in flip-flops and the scorpion was approaching us. The scorpion in the video turns out to be a Fat-Tailed Scorpion which is a very deadly scorpion native to the Arab peninsula. After finding this one we saw several in the desert off post nearby, and at night while ruck marching the perimeter of the camp and they appear to be quite common here.
