This one is for Lucian and Sonja from 'The Rise of the Lycans' which is the prequel to 'Underworld' . -------- Movie summary (which contains spoilers) : In the Dark Ages, the Vampires enslaved the Lycan race (werewolves) . Lucian , a lycan and Sonja (daughter of of the cruel Chief of the Vampires Viktor) carry on a secret affair . Lucian unleashes and transforms into werewolf to save Sonja in a battle against the werewolves. However, Viktor sentences him to be brutally whipped and imprisons him .Sonja frees Lucian and he escapes with other prisoners. Viktor soon begins to suspect her and eventually finds out .Fearing that this will cause the two bloodlines to become one Sonja is sentenced to death and Lucian emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up and take revenge on the Vampires. ------ Been a while since I`ve done a 4 minute video but I just couldn`t bring myself to cut this incredible song ! This one took me a while though . I must say editing to Florence +the Machine is tricky lol This song however really fits this movie and this ship so well! It perfectly captures the atmosphere and angst of Lucian and Sonja`s forbidden tragic relationship. The coloring was a bit of a pain so I`m sorry if it didn`t turn out all that well. Note: The sepia scenes are flashbacks . Hope you enjoy it . The Legend of the Golden Light (multifandom crossover video) val 2010-07-18 | My final entry for the IoTs contest! It`s been an amazing journey . I`ve done almost 10 videos for the AU contest and I must say that irrespective of the result - it has challenged me and made me push my limits with AU vidding. Thanks to thehowlingwolf and all her co-judges for the hard work they put into running this competition over the past year ! The theme for this round is 'Crossover Adventure' videos. I tried to use unrelated fandoms . This one is a mock trailer for an AU storyline I created called 'The Legend of the Golden Light' (Yes I wanted it to sound cheesy epic ;) "Different groups from various parts of the world are looking for the mysterious 'Golden Light' at the centre of the earth which , according to legends and myths, has strange mystical powers and if controlled can change the fate of mankind........." ___________________________________________________ Storyline: A woman and her two sons who live in a little village in a far off land are entrusted with the task of protecting a mysterious golden light. (0.03) On the other side of the world five different groups of people who have heard rumors about the light and it`s properties decide to go looking for it . Arthur , a prince , is struggling with the sudden death of his mother. He seeks the help of a sorceres Morgause to help him reconnect with her. Morgause tells him that he must set out to find 'a golden light' which is the key to reconnecting with spirits.Arthur sets out with his cousin Lady Nimueh to find this light. Joker/Batman (AU slash) feat. Harley I hate myself for lovin you val 2010-07-05 | Warning: If you are uncomfortable with slash then don`t watch! This video contains some violence and mature themes One of my final entries for the 'Imagination of the Soul' challenge. I had done only one slash video before this so it was quite a challenge ;) At first I thought I`d keep this an only Batman/Joker video but I really liked the idea of adding Harley Quinn to change the dynamic a bit . The inspiration to portray Brittany Murphy as Harley was got from andlaymetosleep`s brilliant Joker/Harley videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/andlaymetosleep -------------------------- The video is basically the Joker obsessed with Batman , Harley with the Joker and Batman with Harvey Dent ;D The more detailed twisted storyline here lol : The Joker was being treated at Arkum Aslyum by Dr Harleen Quinzel but his obsession with Batman was far from gone. He convinced Harleen that he was in love witn her. She soon fell for his twisted ways and helped him escape so they could be together..... (the vid begins here:) Now that he`s out - the Joker seeks out Batman and asks him to meet. The Batman/Bruce Wayne is now in a secret 'relationship' with Harvey Dent (0.32). He was once fascinated by the Joker too but he knew that it would be too dangerous to have a criminal like him out on the streets so he captured him and put him in Arkum. He has 'moved on' with Harvey Dent(the only one who knows who he aka the real batman is) . The Joker is infuriated and tries to get rid of Harvey (0.58) but Batman doesn`t let that happen. He also tries to seduce batman (1.22) but is resisted. Meanwhile Harley is furious with the Joker and keeps threatening him. Sick and tired of everything the Joker gets rid of both Harley and Harvey ( 1.39 and 1.46 ) . Batman cannot believe this and decides to beat up and kill the Joker only to finally give into temptation......... John Thornton/Victoria (AU) Dark Passion val 2010-05-10 | Another one for the IoTs challenge. It was actually supposed to be a collab challenge but my collab partner opted out of the competition so I decided to do this AU crossover instead . Now I love BBC North and South and John Thornton and Margaret Hale are my OTP ! But I wanted to experiment because I like pushing my limits a bit when it comes to AU videos ;) Plus this is the first time ever that I`ve actually repeated a song in a video but what can I say - The Tudors theme is simply brilliant! ------------------------ Storyline: Many years ago John (A successful cotton mill owner) and Victoria (daughter of a nobleman) were close friends before Victoria and her family left London to settle elsewhere. During this time a riot broke out at the mill and Margaret , the daughter of a friend of John`s family , saves his life . He realizes that Margaret is in love with him and after some persuasion from his mother is convinced that the honourable thing to do would be to marry her. Victoria soon returns to London . John and she both realize that they have feelings for each other but John is already married and Victoria is to be engaged to Albert - a wealthy young Duke..... My Last Breath - Morgana Le Fey (A Fanfiction Trailer) val 2010-03-05 | ----------------------------------------- "She took her last breath, and lay still in Merlin`s arms, never to grace the world of the living again." -------------------------------------------- Another entry for the 'Imagination of the Soul' challenge and this time I had to make a fanfiction trailer. To be honest I`m not a regular reader of fanfiction so this was quite a challenge. I went through a ton of amazing stories on fanfiction.net ! (There`s seriously ALOT of great writers out there :) I picked the oneshot 'Holding My Last Breath' by PotterPerfect07 . It is a short piece but it immediately got a hold of my imagination and I realized it would work beautifully as a tragic video/promo. It helped to completely capture the wonderful tragic character of Morgana Le Fey. It includes her childhood memories i.e (as a young girl) and relationships with Uther (the wonderful father-daughter relation they shared since she was a little girl but how things started to change and she started to plot his downfall) , her friendship with Gwen, her relationship with Prince Arthur (her childhood sweetheart and lover. They shared a lovely romance but problems started to develop later in their relationship) and Merlin (a good friend who helped her deal with her magic and whom she started to consider as a potential lover). The idea behind the trailer is to promote all the various key instances in Morgana`s life which are described in the fanfic. The author was inspired by the song by Evanescence . I thought of including it here for the entire trailer but then felt it would feel a little too predictable.
