Shimon Topaz Test

RosyKitteh 2024-10-16 | So Japanese is her default, so that's what I decided to test. Though her description on the website says she's trilingual (Japanese, English, and Korean), I think that's just her character and/or maybe her voice provider, not her voicebank since Korean isn't yet possible in SynthV.

She's definitely not as high quality as other voices, but her vocal style is very distinct, and I can definitely see myself using her a lot. She is surprisingly very expressive, and I think Airly is my favorite vocal mode. ^^

So um yeah, that's my review that no one asked for. XP

This is Gekiyaku 解熱剤, which apparently means fever reducer. The last append I used was called painkiller, so it seems that they're all named after different types of medicine. If I had to compare this voice to a Miku append, I would call this Geki Dark. Hmm I need to use Miku Dark sometime.

So the way that I found this song is this: The song Payload by Yunosuke is a duet between Miku and Suisoh, an utaite. I thought "Hm, I should check them out." I found this song and covered it. XP That was my process.

To achieve the whispery sound here, I used the flags Mb and Mt in Moresampler. I've done this before, just not really in OpenUtau.

There are so many good Anri Arcane originals. I'd like to you know... _use_ Anri Arcane eventually, but instead I've used Yami twice. ^^; But compared to Yami, Anri's English is so... I guess loose? That's just the difference between the two synthesizers, I know, but it makes working in Utau so satisfying and working in SynthV so tedious.

That probably wouldn't be the case if I made an SVP from scratch using Anri, though. I just gotta find a song, you know? And that's difficult sometimes.
