While we have spoken to Karlee before, it has been years and much of our audience now wasn't around to see that interview. Also, there has been some new information and developments in the case that Karlee would like to speak on, as well as Taylor getting to tell her perspective on the story of her mother.
It has been over 15 years since Karen Bodine was murdered; her nude body posed and left near a Washington state gravel pit. Who Killed Karen Bodine? Karen Bodine was a 37-year-old mother of three living in Olympia, Washington. She was loving and creative–known to streak her hair with pink highlights and leave secret notes in her kid’s school notebooks as a way to let them know she was thinking of them. While she struggled with substance abuse, her family and friends remember her as a loving mother, daughter, and friend.
The last time Karen was seen alive On Sunday, January 21, 2007, Karen was wandering through the streets of Lacey, Washington when a neighbor noticed her and called the police. When police arrived, Karen brushed them off telling them she was fine, despite not wearing a winter coat in the cold weather. After lots of insisting, the officer left. At the time, Karen was staying with a friend, she had left her parent's home after an intense domestic incident with her boyfriend, resulting in a protection order.
The next day, Monday, January 22, Karen was staying with that same friend and many other house guests at the time who were known to do drugs. They reported seeing her around 3 AM when she left the house on foot. This would be the last time Karen would be seen alive.
When she was discovered The next morning on January 23, 2007, Karen’s nude body was discovered at the entrance of a gravel pit on Little Rock Road in Rochester, Washington— approximately 30 miles from her home. A witness would tell police they saw a small, brown, early 1980s Datsun with a lighter color camper shell seen around 7:50 am at the gravel road entrance. Despite being found in an unnatural position, investigators determined that there were no signs of sexual assault but she was strangled; her body was left in a position that would suggest that the murderer “wanted the shock value.”
Additionally, Karen was completely nude with a ligature around her neck. Multiple DNA profiles were identified on the ligature and sent off for testing–which has still not been shared to this day. Law enforcement is hoping advancements in DNA technology will result in answers. The detective in the case is quoted as saying: “...when you have a case that has as little evidence as this one does and has gone on as long as it has, more than one person was probably involved."
Where the case stands today It’s been 15 years and Karen’s case remains unsolved, but her children are still actively fighting for answers for their mother. In 2019, her children participated in a CrimeCon- a sponsored event aimed at sharing details of her case with the public in hopes of finding additional information. Earlier this year, her case was featured on "Still a Mystery: A Community Betrayal" on the ID Channel. Her daughter Karlee also maintains several billboards in the area where she was last seen hoping someone will come forward with information.
But all these years later her family is still left wondering: who killed Karen? Was she a victim of a random attack or something more sinister? Can the DNA collected at the scene lead to answers?
If you have any information regarding Karen's case, please call Crime Stoppers of the South Sound at (800) 222-TIPS (8477) or Detective Mickey Hamilton at (360) 786-5279.

On July 3 ,2022 we took my brother Donnie over to our grandfathers house at the Collinsville, Brener building, as we have on multiple occasions, for our grandfather, not to be home.
Donnie then called me to let me know our Grandpa wasn’t answering, so I told him to go ahead and walk back to our house and to let me know when he made it home. We were on our way to Sainte Genevieve to watch fireworks with the kids so we were unable to give him a ride back to the house ..
He took a shortcut and made his way to MotoMart gas Station on Vandalia st. where he was seen by multiple people with a woman by the name of Barb Smith. He went there and purchased a half pint of fireball and a soda, and that was the last anyone seen of him. I messaged him at 7:41 PM asking if he made it home and if he was able to get in the house. I never received a reply until 11:15 PM and all it said was “yes“.
It seemed kind of strange, because that didn’t sound like my brother or something he would say. He would normally carry on a conversation. When we made our way back home at Almost 1 AM there were no signs of entry in the home. At this time, it didn’t concern me too much. It was really late so I assumed maybe he went back to our grandpa’s house.
I contacted our grandfather, and he said he hadn’t seen him. So I called Madison County Sheriff‘s Department to make a missing persons report for them to tell me I had to wait 48 hours. I wasn’t able to make the missing persons report until July 10, 2022. My brothers case was assigned to Detective Simmons.
At first, when the case was opened, the Detective stayed in touch as often as he could, but then In the months to come at the time, I would contact the detective for him not to get back to me on multiple occasions.
There was hearsay that a man made the remark to an acquaintance telling them that he killed my brother and threw him in the lake behind LKQ. The detective did a cadaver search in that area for nothing to come up as well as a search over on Chapel Dr. there were 3 people taken in for questioning. The detective also pinged his phone and it showed it was in the area of chapel dr. Or in the area. The detectives did another search at Cahokia Mounds for nothing to come up.
We also had channel 5 news come out and the lady Barb Smith that was with my brother the night of the third said in her questioning that they walked across the street of Vandalia and went to 430 N. Morrison and then made their way to 439 Chapel Dr. she said that was the last she seen of him.
#shorts #missingpersons #mysteriesInterview with the mother of Joshua Amos (Missing Person)Jason Hebert True Crime & Missing Persons2024-02-06 | Tonight, we interview Christina Amos Marek, mom of Joshua Amos, who went missing March 19th, 2023, after being separated from his group of friends during a night out.
The following excerpt is posted by user "Brittany Nichole" on the "Bring Josh Home" FB Page (Source linked below)
On Saturday, March 18th, Josh went out with friends… like he’s done a hundred times before. For whatever reason, left his phone at a friend’s house along the way. In the early morning hours of March 19th, he got separated from his friends and left Scarlett’s Cabaret on foot.
He was seen on camera footage making his way toward JJK bus stop. A sweet bus driver helped him make his way to the Emerson Park station to buy a day pass. She described him as being cold, tired and a bit confused about his location. Once at Emerson, he purchased a day pass for the Metro. Around 6:45am, we see him on camera spending several minutes waiting, but he never gets on a train. He leaves the platform on foot. We are not able to confirm if he ever used that ticket at a later time.
We are able to track his movements on a few different cameras, but the last footage is from Ee-Jay Motor Transports at 7:28am. And then he disappears. We have yet to find any confirmed footage of him since.
The family and law enforcement have conducted foot searches, drone flyovers, and K-9 searches. They have covered the majority of Washington Park and East St. Louis within several blocks of his last known locations. No evidence of his whereabouts has been found in that area. We’ve called and visited all local hospitals and ERs. We’ve canvassed local homeless shelters. We’ve also checked all bank records and there has been no activity since his disappearance. We are unsure if he had any cash on him after leaving the club.
According to a report from a local woman - she heard rumors of a white male being mugged around 5/5:30am. We are unable to confirm if this happened or if it was Josh, but it’s possible he incurred some injuries.
At this time, we are asking a few things from the public: 1) continue to share posts and keep his face prevalent on social media, 2) if you believe you see him - call 911 immediately, then call family, 3) if you live in or near Washington Park, Fairmont City, East St. Louis, Granite City, etc. - please check all abandoned buildings/sheds/homes - he may have been cold and looking for warm shelter, 4) if you have Ring/security cameras in any of the previously mentioned areas - please check your footage for sightings of him.
Since an entire month has passed - he could be outside of the IL/MO state lines. We are asking that no matter where you live - consider sharing our posts and keep an eye out.
Our family and friends are so incredibly appreciative of the kindness and support that has been shared this far. We continue to ask for prayers and help. We will not give up until we find Josh. ❤️
#shorts #missing #mysteries2 teenagers are found murdered in the woods (Interview with mother of Angelito Caraballo)Jason Hebert True Crime & Missing Persons2024-02-02 | Tonight we interview Tanya Evans, mother of Angelito Caraballo, 16, who was found in the woods along with his friend, 18-year-old Hunter Mock. This is part 1 of a 2-part interview of both mothers as both families search for answers. Below is an excerpt about the case, followed by a link to the page it was sourced from:
According to multiple news reports, a witness claimed he was partying with the two victims – 16-year-old Angelito Caraballo and 18-year-old Hunter Mock – as they were hanging out with another man, identified as 19-year-old Lamour Branch, in a wooded area called “The Sanchez” on Oct. 8.
The area is an old mining area filled with water where people socialize and have bonfires, WBRE/WYOU said.
The witness said that at some point during the night, Branch pulled out a gun and began to open fire for unknown reasons.
The witness said he took off and was able to get away by swimming through a nearby pond before arriving at a nearby home where he called for help, WFMZ reported.
The unnamed witness also reported hearing 10-20 gunshots while escaping.
At around 11:50 p.m., first responders reported to Ferndale Road in New Philadelphia for a call about a man knocking on the front door asking for help, WBRE/WYOU said.
On Oct. 9 and 10, Mock and Caraballo were both officially reported missing by state police in Frackville.
On Oct. 10, authorities received a report from a woman who went looking for Mock and Caraballo, only to come across their bodies in the wooded area of “The Sanchez.”
After they were pronounced dead at the scene, Mock was found to have been shot in the head while Caraballo sustained multiple puncture wounds and laceration-type injuries that led to his death, WBRE/YOU reported.
Branch said that he did try to shoot Caraballo, but that the gun didn’t work, and instead said it was the other witness who shot Mock, the news site said.
Right now, investigators are searching the property and collecting DNA from Branch and also from the unnamed witness.
WBRE/YOU said that Branch has been arrested on unrelated charges.
“We want to make sure that we have everything that’s necessary for a successful prosecution of whoever was responsible for this incident,” State Police Trooper David Boehm said to WFMZ.
Jesse Farber-Rex went missing on August 11th 2015 in Tamaqua, Pa under mysterious circumstances. Jesse called me (Rachel Carroll) at 8:43pm saying he was in the mountain behind the high school. He told me he was in a tree and 10-11 coyotes were after him. He told me to bring guns and that his phone was about to die. He switched his location from the high school, to the elementary school mountain and then back to the high school. When I asked him for sure where he was, he said the high school mountain. Just as I asked him for his exact location and he started to speak, his phone hung up. I called back immediately many times with no luck. Within five minutes I was on the mountain, spending hours searching and yelling for him, also with no luck. I called police and he was immediately reported as missing.
There have been many searches including a search of an air shaft, underwater searches, searches performed on foot with search dogs, drones, and military helicopters. Supposedly, his bookbag was later found in a tree on the mountain but I have reasons to believe it was planted and may not even belong to Jesse.
There are many theories and rumors involved with Jesse's case. I try to spread awareness and look for anyone's help. Jesse and I share two young children who suffer his disappearance everyday. If anyone has any information or can help in any way to push this case forward, it would be greatly appreciated. Anonymous tips are welcome.

The boat ramp was in a quiet, isolated area surrounded by forest along the Congaree river, used by the few who knew of it to relax and have picnics. But what would happen that day would change what the area was known for forever.
3 witnesses saw Jack talking to a man who they described as seeming like either an acquaitance, or possibly even a friend. Jack and the man walked out of the parking lot and into a clearing.
Shortly after, Jack was heard yelling, "What is it that you want?" and making offers of money, followed by a loud scream. His assailant would flee on foot and Jack would stumble out of the woods, clutching stab wounds on his stomach.
Witnesses called 911 and Jack was rushed to the hospital. WIthin 3 hours, he would be dead. But, over 25 years later, the man who took his life still hasn't been identified.
This is the story of Jack L Robinson.
