Gorilla Lope Blocking His Brothers Slaps SloggerVlogger 2022-12-12 | Gorilla Lope bangs against the wall of the hut and sits down, crossing his legs. All so peaceful, when all of a sudden his younger brother Shufai comes running up. Hits the hut walls and then hits Lope on the shoulder and his head. He moves away from Lope and sits in the grass, Lope just looks at him at first, but then gets up, runs away, and ribs the wood wool apart. Shufai ran after him. Lope turns around and beats his chest at his brother. A little rest, a close-up of Lope's breath all misty from the cold air. He looks at Shufai and beats his chest. Shufai is no pushover anymore and he starts slapping his big brother. He's probably thinking this is when you hit me when I was a baby..... that's when you dragged me down the slope, this one is for dragging me across the grass............. lolLope is pretty good he doesn't hit back he just tries to block his brother's slaps. At lunch. Lope is on the climbing frame with two hoses in his mouth. He picks up a cabbage, smells it and drops the hoses to hold the veg in his mouth. He loses it again when he starts beating his chest at his brother. They both run inside, but it doesn't take long for them to be outdoors again. They are standing opposite each other and then the high-speed chase starts around the hut and up the climbing frame. Once on top, they stop. Shufai throws a cabbage off the platform and then they both dismount the platform in different ways. Down the bottom, another staring contest. Orangutan Kayan SloggerVlogger 2022-12-12 | Orangutan Youngster Kayan is moving to another zoo ( I don't know where to yet, I'll keep everyone updated). Here she's playing with her half-brother Basuki. Sadly a while back her mum Kibriah (44) passed away. She had a long illness. She was such a character and always so protective of her little girl. Basuki, Kayan's half-brother always got a hard time from Kibriah as she saw him as a boy that just causes trouble. The truth was cheeky Kayan was more of a troublemaker, but always run to mum when she couldn't handle the situation anymore. Even in this #shorts I think Kayan jumped more than she got pulled :-). She's a cheeky playful Orangutan and will be dearly missed. As Kayan was still so young when she lost her mum, everybody was worried about her. The staff did a great job bringing her up and she still seems fun-loving and really playful. The staff think she is big and independent enough to move to another family now. Hopefully, she will move to a UK zoo, so I'm able to visit her. He has alopecia, a form of hair loss he had since his youth. He was born on the 9th of June 1982. His daughter Genet, a brown chimp with a bald back and his mother Coco (1965)are in the same habitat. Coco is the oldest animal at Twycross Zoo. Jambo's siblings from his father's side are Holly who was born on the 27th of December 1982 and Jomar was born on the 28th of December 1990 both are in the same habitat as Jambo. William his half-brother was born on the 30th of June 1982 and Jambo's first son Peter is in the next-door enclosure. Jambo started to lose his ear in November 2018, which the staff believes happened accidentally, it got ripped by his mum in a group fight. Twycross zoo tried to glue it back on with skin glue, but unfortunately, as time went past he picked on it so much that he lost all of it.In October 2022 Jambo lost a toe, it's unknown how exactly this happened. They have been some fights and agitation when Samatha the female chimpanzee is on heat, which might have been the reason. In 2018 The chimpanzees got their new "Chimpanzee Eden" habitat. A 1,160sqm area with two seven-meter-high indoor spaces which are linked to a large outdoor area complete with huge climbing frames and huts. Gorilla Lopes Upright Swagger SloggerVlogger 2022-12-09 | A follow on from the last video. Gorilla Lope finally appeared again after lunch. Doing his upright strut towards the hut. He grabs the hose, trying to get some stuff out with his finger. When that didn't work he gets himself a stick. He gets up again and this time an upright quick step towards the window. Looking through it. He carries on to the flap still in his bipedal walk. At the flap he seems to be careful, you'll never know when Shufai is just hiding there. He didn't actually notice that Shufai was behind him and quickly followed him inside. Dad Oumbi makes a quick appearance. He doesn't stay out long in this weather. He mostly stays inside. Just quickly grabbed some food and back inside he goes. Inside Lope is spread out on the floor, but all of a sudden gets up, hits the wall and sits down. He has a drink of water, turns around and hits the wall again. He moves over to the straps, bites them and beats his chest looking in Shufai's direction. Unfortunately, they disappear into the back so can't continue filming. Afia Stealing A Hose From The Staff SloggerVlogger 2022-12-08 | Kera was in a rolling mood and chasing after Afia disturbing the Silverback's sleep. Later Gorilla youngster Afia steals the water hose from the keepers. Gorilla Kera was in a playful mood, rolling around the top platform. Afterwards she chased after naughty Afia. She tried to grab Afia from the ropes but couldn't quite get to her, so she just started rolling again. Jock the silverback wasn't too happy getting disturbed in his nest and was wondering what was going on. Afia is doing a Kala, going wild with the wood wool as Kera rolls towards her. Afia hits Kera. While Jock is looking up what's going on. When Kera starts to wrestle Afia, the silverback has had enough and gets up. Not being quite as agile as the females it takes him a bit to run after the two. In the second part on the same day, Afia steals the water hose from the keepers. The staff cleaned the enclosure. Left the hose outside of the door, unfortunately not far enough away so Afia was able to grab it from under the door and pull it into the enclosure ( i was only able to film at the point where she already had the hose). The staff noticed their mistake and quickly tried to pull the hose back. Gorilla Kera tried to take the hose away as well and beat her chest at Afia and then chased after the youngster. The video clips were filmed at the beginning of 2022. If you're following this family you might know that they are moving from the city centre of Bristol to just outside of Bristol to a place called Wildlife Place Project. The Bristol zoo has now closed and the move will take some time to complete. So I'm unable to catch up with them for the unforeseeable future. I still have lots of bits and bobs from Bristol Zoo gorillas, but will stop the series for now, for a different gorilla troop next week. It is a troop I have seen before and I'm looking forward to giving you an update. Orangutans Jazz Jim & Joe SloggerVlogger 2022-12-07 | Orangutan Babies Jim and Joe are still in Jazz's arms at all times, but as they get more alert of their surroundings she has to keep moving them back into position as they try to climb/look over her shoulder. Jim her son, is trying to get some solid food from his mother. We saw Sprout, Jazz's daughter and the mother of Joe come closer again to her baby in the last video, but today she just did her own thing. I'm sure as time passes she will have more and more interaction with her family. Orangutan Mother Jazz (30) from the Dudley zoo became super mum as she's not just looking after her own baby boy Jim, now she's looking after her daughter's newborn baby Joe as well, as her daughter found first-time motherhood a little bit challenging. When her daughter Sprout gave birth she walked away and left the baby on the floor. Mother Jazz picked the baby up straight away and she hasn't let go of the babies since. Nursing both and giving both love, care and attention. Staff is closely monitoring both babies and both mums. Gorilla Shufai Slamming Hose Against The Wall And Covers Himself In Wood Wool SloggerVlogger 2022-12-05 | Gorilla Shufai from the Twycross Zoo walks with a couple of bits of fire hoses across the grass. (windows are still a bit misty in the morning). The hoses have some food in them that they have to try to get out with a stick. I think someone already had most of it out. So he tries to bite the hose from the outside instead, imitating a duck. Then he started to slap the hose against the wall. He slams the hose against the wall again and wraps it around his arms. I haven't seen Lope yet, I think he might be in the back. So I think Shufai got a bit bored and tries to entertain himself. Shufai gets up and slams the hose to the ground. When he's done, he starts throwing the wood wool in the air. Then he throws the hose over his head and some more wood wool in the air. That's what you were supposed to do with the leaves the other day! :-) . He's covered by the wood wool and just sits there. I'm always worried when I don't see one of the Gorillas when I get there. Most of the time it's just that they're in the back getting some training or health checks and Lope was back out again at lunch. Gorilla Afia Clowning Around SloggerVlogger 2022-12-01 | This is Gorilla Afia. She is from the Bristol Zoo. A compilation of her clowning around. We always like to think she is the perfect match for "our" Lope as she's just as cheeky as him. She climbs on the wet log, stands on it and beats her chest. Then she just lets her arms dangle, "OK, what do I do now" kind of action. She climbs down and goes inside. The next clip is her being silly in front of the window with a stick in her mouth.Outside she found a sheet and is rolling around with it. Back inside, she stands on her head and is covered with wood wool. Outside she jumps over the stream ( I hope they get a stream at their new place) and then has a look back before she goes inside. Bristol Zoo has now closed and this is a compilation of clips filmed at different times. Another compilation next week and then we'll revisit/ catch up with another Gorilla troop from my travels. This gorilla troop move just outside the city centre to a place called Wildlife Place Project. This will happen as soon as they built the new Gorilla habitat which hasn't started yet (Dec 2022) until then they will remain at their old home. I will keep everyone updated on this progress. I'm hoping it won't be too long, as it would be a shame to miss the two gorilla babies Juni and Hasani growing up. Magic Moment As Orangutan Mother Has First Interaction With Her Baby SloggerVlogger 2022-11-30 | The moment we have been waiting for! Orangutan mother and grandmother Jazz is looking after her newborn baby and the newborn baby of her daughter. Sprout was too inexperienced to look after her son and when she gave birth she walked away. Her mother Jazz picked the baby up straight away and never let it go since. Jazz is sitting up the top. Her mum Jazz with the two babies below her. Sprout followed them around in the past, but always at quite a distance. Jazz sits on a log with baby Jim and Joe while she tries to squeeze a spot. At that point son, Jim is on her left and Joe on the right. To my delight suddenly Sprout appeared. She's taking Jim's arm first, holding it, sniffing it. Then she moves over to the other site. Sits next to her mum. Jim is trying to grab Joe's face. Jim slightly touches Sprout's hand and then Sprout starts playing with her son's hair. While she is doing that have a look at Jazz, she looks at her daughter and watches her and plays with the food on her lip. Looking quite content for Sprout to do what she does. Sprout holds her hand out and an inquisitive Jim tries to grab her hand. When Sprout pulls his hand, he pulls away. Sprout still has her hand out and then pulls her's son's arm up ( She didn't yank the arm as hard as it looks in the video, I just edited a bit out as it was me that jolted the camera, I just got too excited about the magic moment lol) Jazz is watching, but is quite happy for Sprout to check out her son. Sprout puts her son's arm in her mouth and slightly bites on it. Joe pulls away his hand. Sprout still holding onto his arm. After that Jazz moved around. Later in the afternoon. Sprout approached the three again. Sat close to her mum and the babies. Her son was holding his arm out and then Jim was doing the same. So she held Jim's hand first and I think Jazz was pulling Jim away a little. That's when she let go and then started to hold her son Joe's hand. Joe grabbed one of their fingers and then Sproud was holding his hand. She let go. Sprout watches her mum clean Jim's bits. Jazz is holding Jim's foot and Joe is nibbling on Jim's foot. Sprout gets up and has a proper look and then sits down again. Joe is fully awake looking at his mum. Sprout starts playing with her son's hand again. Jazz pulls both babies closer. Sprout grabs Jim's leg to have a look. As Jazz seemed to finish cleaning Jim her son, she now starts to clean Joe's bits. When she's done she moves around and goes back inside. What a magic day! I can't wait to go again to see how it all develops between the four. Hairless Chimp Skipping And Making Noise Before Feeding Time SloggerVlogger 2022-11-29 | Jambo the hairless Chimpanzee from the Twycross Zoo is skipping through the grass. Chimpanzee Flynn just in front of him. Some noise from the other chimps. A close-up of him as he picks some leaves from the thorny bushes outside. When back inside the group starts hooting. When it is feeding time they sometimes get their food scattered outside, indoors or like the next clip from above. For this, the Chimpanzees have to climb 7-meters high and try to get their food through the metal grid. Which gives the chimps some workout. The compilation was filmed at different times. Jambo started to lose his ear in November 2018, which the staff believes happened accidentally, it got ripped by his mum in a group fight. When her daughter Sprout gave birth and didn't know what to do, her mum Jazz quickly stepped in to save the day and took on her baby as well. Jazz is carrying the two babies around with her. Gorilla Lope During The Day SloggerVlogger 2022-11-25 | It's feeding time outside. Normally Lope is one of the first ones out, but I think he was in a bit of a doghouse with his Dad Oumbi. So he just has a look out of the door first. He goes back inside, but he is still watching through the flap. When he can only see Ozala his mum, he makes his move. He managed to bag a lot of vegetables on top of the climbing frame. Starting to walk free hands down the log, but then threw the veg to the ground so he could hold on and swing down. At the bottom, he picked it all up again and walked over to the hut. Upright of course. He hasn't done it quite as much lately as he used to do, but I still catch him occasionally. A close-up of his face while the sun was shining on him. When he was done he has a look at the top of the hut, but his brother has already taken it all. So he walks off to the climbing frame bipedal again. He casually swings on the hose and then I see him again walking upright inside. Inside he got some more food and he's climbing up to the top. Gorilla Asante, his aunt to his left. She is sitting in her favourite place where she can watch everything. She glances over to Lope a few times eating his leaves. She also loves putting her hands on her shoulders. Back Later back outside, Lope is sitting there playing with his nipple. :-). When Mum Ozala comes out he stares at her, but she just ignores him. Shufai, Ozala's younger son and the little brother of Lope is joining. Lope has his body posture again that he's just about to charge, but when Ozala moves he moves as well without any incident at that point. It didn't take him long to get it out of his system and charge, hitting his mum. Gorilla Kala - The Wild One SloggerVlogger 2022-11-24 | Gorilla Kala from the Bristol zoo is the birth mother of Hasani. She's a bit wild and has her crazy moments. This is a compilation of Kala from the last day that Bristol zoo was open and some older clips. Kala loves to clap and beat her chest. In the next clip, she shoos off a seagull. Then she beats her chest at Ayana, Afia and Juni. Ayana is in full view, Juni is hidden in the grass and you just see Afia's arm in the frame. When Afia comes around the corner of the hut, Kala comes out and beats her chest again with all her food in her mouth. At feeding time, she gets chased by Kera for some food, as the keeper says "Gorillas don't like sharing". Kala is one that always has to let some steam off once/twice a day which makes her look kind of crazy, but she seems fine after that. Like the last clips where she's beating her chest vigorously and shaking her head with that wood wool. As a lower rank in the troop, she's probably getting stressed with the other females and has to just let it out in the form of going a bit wild. This video from the Bristol Zoo and the upcoming footage is from just before they closed their doors for good. Some of the animals like this gorilla troop move just outside the city centre to a place called Wildlife Place Project. This will happen as soon as they built the new Gorilla habitat which hasn't started yet (October 2022) until then they will remain at their old home. I will keep everyone updated on this progress. I'm hoping it won't be too long, as it would be a shame to miss the two gorilla babies Juni and Hasani growing up. Gorilla Shufai And A Piece Of Hessian Sack SloggerVlogger 2022-11-21 | Shufai is dragging a piece of Hessian sack with him as he walks towards the hut. When he gets there he kicks the wall which he probably learned to do from watching his brother Lope. Inside Shufai took the sack with him to the wood wool. There he put it on his head. Gorillas and orangutans always love putting stuff on their heads. He gets up but still holds on to the sack with his foot. He grabs another bit of Hessian sack and sits back down again. Plays with it a little. slinging it about and putting it on his head again. After that, he buries it under the wood wool, turns around towards the window and takes a drink out of the freshwater tap. I'm not sure what he's doing afterwards. It looks like he's spitting the water into his hand and then licking it off again. He turns his back throwing the sack over himself again. In the back Lope, his brother is approaching, but he just sits on the log, sucking his thumb. How Much Fennels Can The Silverback Carry In His Mouth SloggerVlogger 2022-11-18 | Shufai walks upright and Silverback tries to fit as much fennel in his mouth as he can. Gorilla Shufai is sitting on the tree having some lettuce. In the following clip he gets some hidden food pellets out of the cracks. Back on the ground, Shufai takes an upright walk towards the window. On one hand a piece of fire Hose (pieces of fire hoses are good for things like putting honey in them so they have to use the stick to get it out) and on the other hand a piece of leek. When he is at the window he scrapes out some leftover food from the corner of the window. Staff always puts food pellets on there. He stays bipedal and walks towards the hut and then goes inside. His older brother Lope sits by the hut and eats his leek. Meanwhile, Oumbi tries to get as many fennels in his mouth as he can. The silverback sits down, dumbs most of the fennel in front of him and enjoys the other. Gorilla Trying To Get Away From Her Energetic Baby Brother SloggerVlogger 2022-11-17 | Gorilla baby Juni is sitting by his mum having some veg. When Afia his half-sister is walking in front of him he gets up and runs after her. Afia does a twirl and pushes him away, but Juni just wants a ride on his big sister. Afia keeps still for him to climb on but then sits down. In the following clip, he rolls down the hill where Afia is and he wants to play, but Afia doesn't seem to be in the mood and tries to get away from the feisty gorilla baby. He doesn't give up, even when Afia pushes him down the slope. Jock is sitting in front of the two. Juni goes back to Afia again. She pins him down and then quickly tries to get away. Afia finally gave in later on, as she's got baby Juni on her back. She even runs with him through the grass. Then she gets up, Juni slides down and she beats her chest. Juni runs away towards his mum. Juni tries again, later on, to play with Afia, but she's not really in the mood. Juni decides to go back up to where Hasani is sitting. Hasani doesn't want to play either, so he runs after his sister again. He really has taken a shine to his half-sister, more than he has to his full sister Ayana. As no one wants to play, he has another roll in the grass. His mother Touni is picking food pellets from the grass and Juni's sister Ayana is just behind Touni. Ayana then decides to drag little Juni down the slope, so Juni hits back at her. Back up the slope, Touni and Jock are on the move and little Juni entertains himself by rolling through the grass again. When Ayana comes past he tries to grab her leg. Orangutan Baby Kayan Has Grown A Lot SloggerVlogger 2022-11-16 | It has been a while since I've seen Orangutan "Baby" Kayan from the Twycross Zoo. I couldn't believe how much she has grown. She is enjoying her stick with some leaves on it. When she had enough, she just throws it in the air and gets some fresh green grass instead. She's still such a cutie. Those long eyelashes and her face just make you smile. She puts on her sunhat, the wood wool. In the next shot, she looks in my direction, does the splits and then lets herself fall, dangling there on the rope only holding on with her feet. She does remind me of Sprout, the Orangutan youngster from Dudley zoo. At the end of the video her half-brother Basuki. Sadly last year her mum Kibriah (44) passed away. She had a long illness. She was such a character and always so protective of her little girl. Basuki, Kayan's half, brother always got a hard time from Kibriah as she saw him as a boy that just causes trouble. The truth was cheeky Kayan was more of a troublemaker, but always run to mum when she couldn't handle the situation anymore. As Kayan was still so small everybody was worried about her. Hairless Chimp Tends To His Injury SloggerVlogger 2022-11-15 | Jambo is tending to his missing toe wound. If you want to skip that bit it's between 1:20-1:50 minute. It has healed quite well so it doesn't look as bad as it did. Jambo the hairless chimp is having the last snack before going back inside. Lots of people always ask "doesn't he get cold?" He probably does, but just like us when we're cold, we do something about it. As he can't put on clothes, he goes inside to warm up which is nice and toasty. In the summer he hides under a hut's roof so he doesn't get sunburned or just goes inside. They don't get locked outside, they have the freedom to choose when to go back in. After he went inside he enjoys the freshly pulled grass in one of the tunnels. A little slide there when he gets back inside and then he licks his wound. This was filmed a week after I saw Jambo's injury for the first time and it already healed quite a lot. His constant licking and tending to the wound seems to really do the job. The injuries I have seen over the years made by other chimps to chimps are quite gruesome. Some people think this only happens in zoos, but that's far from the truth. He has an empty walnut shell in his mouth, which looks like a mouthguard. I also think he has a bit of a hiccup. Mum Cheka put her arm around him, but little Upendi tries to get away. Mum keeps pulling him back. Those shiny eyes are just gorgeous. Mum leaves her son in the dried grass for a few seconds, so Upendi tries to follow mum, but then mum turned round and picks him up. The interaction between mum and baby is quite sweet. Upendi looks up at mum. You can hardly see the baby in the long grass. Mum just turned around to find some more food and her son crawled towards her. She then decides to pick him up by his chin and carry him a couple of meters. Gorillas And The Huge Bucket SloggerVlogger 2022-11-14 | Today the Gorillas had a huge bucket in their enclosure. Gorilla Shufai was certainly more interested in it than his big brother, but when Shufai sat on the bucket Lope decided to chase him off it. By the time the zoo opened, nearly everything was gone out of the bucket. They were some sticks and wood wool still in it. Lope came down from the rope but was only interested in the branch that was next to the bucket. While I was checking on Jambo the hairless chimpanzee next door, the bucket had flipped over and Shufai was sitting on the bucket holding the hose and licking it. Watch Lope in the background, slowly creeping towards his brother and suddenly chasing him off the bucket. Oumbi their silverback dad, sitting there watching. The GoBros come back around again and Shufai sits on the bucket again. It doesn't take long until Lope starts chasing his younger brother again. In between chase, Oumbi and Shufai stood at the window and looked out to see their food scattered around. Shufai jumps over the bucket but then comes back as Lope is after him again and then somehow the tables have turned. Shufai chasing Lope. Lope jumping on the bunk, then the rope. Shufai pulled on the rope but decided it was more interesting to look out of the window instead. After dinner Shufai investigate the bucket a bit more. Lope there in the background sucking his thumb under the blue barrel. Shufai puts his head under the bucket. When he re-emerges he turns the bucket around on its side and then puts his feet in it. He seems to try to look through the holes at the bottom of the bucket. Ozala watching from the corner. Shufai jumps on the bucket and has a lie-down. Sneaky Gorilla Shufai Stealing Asantes Food SloggerVlogger 2022-11-11 | Gorilla Shufai's sneaky move to steal Asante's food. Asante charges after him, but unfortunately, the youngster is just too quick. Shufai and Asante sit close together. I think Asante isn't quite sure of Shufai and what he's doing next. Asante knows always be aware you'll never know the GoBro's next move. This time he just moved away. When Asante sits in the doorway, Shufai prods her until she moves a bit and then he walks passed her. There are two other doors he could have chosen to go through, but no he wanted to go through that one. Asante's look says it all. In the following clip, he comes to the window and then goes over to Asante and pokes her, before he goes outside. Asante loves her top bunk. Especially before feeding time when the boys get all a bit crazy. So she just stays out of the way and watches from above. I love how she intertwined her fingers. After lunch has been served, Asante enjoys a leek. Shufai sees this and climbs up to her. First, he goes to the back of her and then he comes from the side. He then makes his move, snatching the leek from Asante's hand. Asante charges after him, but unfortunately, he's just too quick for her. Shufai is enjoying his ill-gotten gains. He was born on the 9th of June 1982. His daughter Genet, a brown chimp with a bald back and his mother Coco (1965)are in the same habitat. Coco is the oldest animal at Twycross Zoo. Jambo's siblings from his father's side are Holly who was born on the 27th of December 1982 and Jomar was born on the 28th of December 1990 both are in the same habitat as Jambo. William his half-brother was born on the 30th of June 1982 and Jambo's first son Peter is in the next-door enclosure. Jambo started to lose his ear in November 2018, which the staff believes happened accidentally, it got ripped by his mum in a group fight. Twycross zoo tried to glue it back on with skin glue, but unfortunately, as time went past he picked on it so much that he lost all of it.In 2018 The chimpanzees got their new "Chimpanzee Eden" habitat. A 1,160sqm area with two seven-meter-high indoor spaces which are linked to a large outdoor area complete with huge climbing frames and huts.
Baby Gorilla Full Of Energy SloggerVlogger 2022-11-10 | Jock the silverback from Bristol Zoo is waiting for his lunch. While little Juni is being silly next to him. Juni is drumming on his foot and falling backwards. Afterwards, he quickly runs back to mum Touni to get a little groom. When mum gets up Juni runs and then rolls down the slope. When mum is on the move he quickly runs towards her. She picks him up and then feeds him by the hut. In the next clip sitting close to mum, chewing on a bit of straw. After that a climbed all by himself, enjoying the view up there, letting his little feet dangle. Back on the ground another roll, before they go back inside.This video from the Bristol Zoo and the upcoming footage is from just before they closed their doors for good. Some of the animals like this gorilla troop move just outside the city centre to a place called Wildlife Place Project. This will happen as soon as they built the new Gorilla habitat which hasn't started yet (October 2022) until then they will remain at their old home. I will keep everyone updated on this progress. I'm hoping it won't be too long, as it would be a shame to miss the two gorilla babies Juni and Hasani growing up. Orangutans Arent Afraid Of The Water SloggerVlogger 2022-11-09 | The Orangutans from the Dudley Zoo love fishing out the autumn leaves from the water. Even Mum Jazz is holding the two babies and Djimat with his large flanges is having some too.Youngster Sprout is fishing for some leaves in the water. She seems to pick out the green ones first. Look how she uses her fingers, just like we would do. Later on, you'll see Djimat (33), the dad to her son, do it a different way. After she had those leaves she goes back for more. This time she dipped her whole arm into the water. I was trying to determine her preference as she left the ones floating on top. I thought she was looking for the green once again, but then in the end she had a big autumn leaf which she stripped first to leave just the veins, but subsequently, eat those as well. I was also interested in Orangutans and water. It said that Orangutans would normally fear water, but others disputed this by showing swimming orangutans. Sprout always used a stick before, this is the first time I saw her sticking her whole arm in the water, so definitely has no fear of water. Male Orangutan Djimat used his two fingers like a scissor to grab some leaves. Making sure there is no dirt on them before eating the leaves. As Mum Jazz can't bend down too easily with the two babies, she uses a little twig to get to the leaves. Jim is watching her, while Joe on her left is asleep. It always gets me how the babies can hold on tightly to mum even when they are asleep. The next picks are some autumn leaves and she manages to grab them without the twig. When she is in view again, the babies have swapped sites. This time Joe is all awake and Jim has a nap. Chimp Flynn From Kicking The Window To His Sharing And Caring Site SloggerVlogger 2022-11-08 | You know when Chimpanzee Flynn is just about to jump-charge the window, his hair goes up, he starts hooting and then he charges and jumps with all fours on the glass. You might have seen Chimpanzee Flynn on my channel before. He loves doing this. I think he gets a kick out of scaring unsuspecting visitors. This is one side of him, but the other side is really sweet. Out of all the chimps, he is the one that always comes to the window without fail. Especially when he recognises the people. He loves sitting at the window watching the people and the sweetest thing of all is that he always offers to share his food with him when you hold your hand out. Today he choose to eat in front of the window, showing me all the biscuits he managed to collect outside and then he's offering up some treats to the visitors. A close-up of his hand and foot. Jambo the hairless chimp lying behind him. Flynn turns around and grooms him. When I moved to the other window, Flynn followed. Outside Flynn gets some more food at dinner time and balances up the rope back to go inside. Steady there Flynn :-). A little later Flynn is back outside again and Coco the oldest chimp and oldest animal at Twycross zoo is running towards him. Flynn takes her in his arms and patted her back. Wouldn't be able to describe it any better than the people's reaction in the video. Awwww. When Coco goes on the back of him, Flynn has a split-second look on his face "what are you doing, I'm sure it suppose to be the other way around" Kibali has a quick look and then they're going their separate ways.
