I've discovered it's been fucked up on the inside pretty badly by some amateur who, as it looks, has removed half the inside workings once and then put them in the wrong way. All the leather strips have been cut as well and the hammers hit the strings just too high on the top notes so they end up hitting the fret creating a clicking sound. I want to try if I can repair this in the future. The acoustics in this hallway are amazing.Covid-19 lockdown efforts have made them get rid of all public pianos on the train stations I used to visit. I assume this will continue for a long time sadly so I don't know if I will be able to upload any new videos of that kind any time soon. I've been having trouble finding a new place to record public piano videos since all of the pianos I used to visit have been badly unmaintained making me unable to get a nice sound out of them. This one right here was recorded at Zwolle station. Looked like it had once been a pretty nice piano but it was very broken. I had to smash all of the keys ridiculously hard to get any sound out of them. What the hell do you have to do to a piano to get it to be like this. It originally is part of an old school project where we had to make a video trying to get through a certain aestetic mood. We did a sad one and I chose to use this song as background music. We filmed me playing and interjected it with 4 different scenes of something sad and funny happening to someone. Tame Impala - Let it Happen // Public Piano *Attempt* (Ghent Belgium) EpreTroll II 2019-10-21 | โซ Me and some friends went on a tour from Zeeland to Flanders, Belgium this summer and one of the cities we went by was Ghent. Gorgeous city, definitely worth a see. They had this great public piano in the city center under this absolutely hidious modern art kind of canopy thing. Who in their right mind would build something like that in the middle of such a beautiful historic city center, I don't know. ๐ Support me on PATREON: patreon.com/epretrollBut regardless it was a great spot for a public piano. My friend urged me to play my arrangement of Let it Happen by Kevin Parker (Tame Impala). I was a bit anxious to play it cus it's rather hard and needs some warmup but most of it ended up pretty okay.
