Meat Slicer SL310 Avantco Unit 2016-07-22 | Hey Guys, I have crazy good knife skills, but NOTHING beats a professional food slicer. I did a lot of research on these, and every one I looked at had plastic parts that would fail, except the Avantco SL310. Only $279.99!! It used to take me 90 minutes to thinly slice a whole boneless ham, now it takes 10. The results are more uniform as well, Yay!Cleaning it the first time took 25 minutes, but I kept making mistakes and cleaned things in a different order than how they are reassembled. I think I can get it down to under 15 minutes to clean, and about five minutes to slice, bringing my total time down from about 100 minutes to 20. Nice!Note: This does not cut cheese, that slicer was $680. Ahem.
