Adagietto (piano solo) Gustav Mahler Mercuziopianist 2018-01-06 | For this famous piece there are already many piano versions, some also downloadable from the internet: http://imslp.org/wiki/Symphony_No.5_(Mahler%2C_Gustav) I decided to do this new version because, for some reasons, all these versions delete (or edit) some notes of the original score (mostly harp’s notes, bass notes or grace notes) that can be easily played by an advanced pianist. The curious thing is that all these “facilitations” are not the same in all these different arrangements, therefore it’s as if each one showed solutions that were ignored by others.Instead, compared to the original score, I edited some ligatures, articulations and expression markings (which are those things that, usually, each pianist adapts to his taste and interpretation) that Mahler wrote according to the strings technique which, obviously, is different from that of the piano.Di questo famoso pezzo esistono già numerose versioni per pianoforte, alcune anche scaricabili gratuitamente da internet: http://imslp.org/wiki/Symphony_No.5_(Mahler%2C_Gustav) Mi sono deciso a fare questa nuova versione perchè, per qualche ragione, tutte queste versioni eliminano (o modificano) alcune note della partitura originale (soprattutto note dell’arpa, dei bassi o delle acciaccature) che possono essere suonate agevolmente da un pianista esperto. La cosa curiosa è che tutte queste “facilitazioni” non sono identiche in tutti questi diversi arrangiamenti, per cui è come se ciascuno mostrasse soluzioni che erano state ignorate dagli altri. Invece, rispetto alla partitura originale, ho modificato alcune legature, articolazioni e segni di espressione (che poi sono quelle cose che, di solito, ciascun pianista adatta al proprio gusto ed interpretazione) che Mahler ha scritto in base alla tecnica degli archi che, ovviamente, è diversa da quella del pianoforte.
