Pio [ Rain world OC Time lapse ] [Read Description] InkyCorvid 2024-09-21 | New method- Block out characters colors- Add gradient layer over. - Blend using a textured brush The kind of brush you use is important bc it needs to be able to blend and it needs to be a bit rough. - Make it a hard light layer. (I'm not sure what the equivalent would be in other art programs.) - Lower opacity (I forgot to . write down what I had this at before I merged layers at the end sorry :{ )- Begin erasing with textured brush, than color pick and add draw over the area with the new color. I kind of botched the shadows here and I didn't want to fuck with it too much But I think you could probably do a similar method with shading. What I'm describing above is more focused on the lighting though.This was a fun experiment overall. Might see if I can get similar or better results on humanoid characters.
