Today we are making Polish Dill Pickle Soup in the Instant Pot! Now if you don't have an instant pot, you can just make this in a regular pot, just simmer until your potatoes and carrots are soft. Polish Dill Pickle Soup is made with pickles and pickle juice right inside the soup! The key to this, is using a really good flavored pickle. I would advice a higher quality pickle, or maybe one you have canned on your own! I know it sounds crazy, but try it! The Scandinavian Rosette Cookies! Some people also call these a Swedish Rosette, or a Norwegian Rosette! All of those names are correct! This is a traditional, simple deep fried cookie! To make these cookies you will need a Rosette Iron! I have listed a few of them below. We bought a set from Nordic Ware. Don't let this recipe scare you! This was our FIRST time attempting to make these cookies, and everything turned out perfect!Ingredients:2 eggs2 tsp Sugar (yes I know I said one in the video)1 Cup Milk1 Cup Flour1/4 Salt1 Tablespoon Lemon ExtractVegetable Oil for fryingPowdered Sugar for decoratingDirections:Lightly beat egg, stir in sugar, milk, and lemon extract. Sift together flour and salt, and add to mix. Lightly mix until creamy. Oil should be 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Dip iron into oil, and get it hot. Then dip it into the batter, but do not go all the way down, don't cover the top of the iron. Dip in oil until it finishes bubbling. Place on tray. Let cool, cover in powdered sugar. That's right, today we are showing you how to make Irish Beef Stew in the Instant Pot! This One Pot Stew is so delicious, you can't go wrong! This easy, one pot Irish Beef Stew is so good! If I can cook it, so can you!Buy and Instant Pot here: amzn.to/3aXjFtdIngredients:1.25 - 1.5 pounds of stew meat of your choice1 1/2 cups beef broth1 Bottle of Guinness Beer 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce1 tbsp Soy Sauce1 tbsp Rosemary1 tbsp Thyme1 tbsp brown sugar1 tbsp minced garlic or 4 garlic cloves2 tbsp tomato paste2 cups chopped celery2 cups chopped carrots10 container of mushrooms (sliced or whole)1 pound chopped rutabaga2 cups Pearl Onions (optional)Directions:Saute your meat in about 2 tablespoons of olive oil for 2 -3 minutes per side. Scrape the bottom of your instant pot to make sure nothing is stuck. Then all all other ingredients. Choose the meat/stew option and set for 35 minutes. Let it cook! When done, let it vent naturally for 10 - 15 minutes. Then vent it. That's it! Texas Sheet Cake Recipe | Chocolate Sheet Cake Snow Dogs Cooking With Jess 2018-03-27 | How to make homemade Texas Sheet Cake! This Texas Sheet Cake Recipe is one from Greg's family cookbook! We are making this Texas Sheet cake with no nuts, as it's for Greg's birthday, and he does not like nuts. Texas Sheet Cake is like a brownie type cake with amazing frosting. It's hard to even describe! It's delicious!Check out Charles and Thor's Channel:youtube.com/user/clhorton0912Ingredients:2 Cups of Flour2 Cups of Sugar2 sticks margerine1/2 cup buttermilk1 cup water2 Eggs4 Tbsp Cocoa1 tsp Vanilla1 tsp Baking SodaFrosting Ingredients3 cups Powdered Sugar1 stick margarine 1/3 cup Milk4 Tbsp CocoaPreheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. For the cake, mix together flour and sugar, set aside. In a saucepan, mix Margarine, water and cocoa, and bring to a rapid bowl. Stir into the flour and sugar, and quickly add buttermilk, eggs, vanilla and baking soda. Pour onto a greased cake pan. Place in the oven for 15 -17 minutes. The secret to this cake is to have the frosting still be warm as the warm cake comes out of the oven. So when there is around 5 - 7 minutes left on the cake, take the margarine, milk and cocoa, and bring it to a rapid boil in a saucepan. In another bowl, have 3 cups of powdered sugar. Once the mixture comes to a boil, pour it over the powdered sugar and mix like crazy! While the frosting is still hot, and the cake is still hot, pour the frosting all over the cake and spread it out. That's it! Form a well in the dry ingredients and pour in all the wet ingredients. Then mix until well blended. Now cover, and place in the refrigerator for 1 - 2 hours. Heat your oil to 370 degrees Fahrenheit. Flour your surface, roll your dough out to around 1/2 in thick, and then use a doughnut cutter to cut your shapes. Fry your doughnuts until they turn golden brown, turning once during cooking. Set aside on paper towels. Before doughnuts are completely cooled, toss them in your cinnamon and sugar mixture to coat them. Chicken Enchilada Casserole | How to make Chicken Enchilada Casserole Snow Dogs Cooking With Jess 2018-01-20 | How to make Chicken Enchilada Casserole! This is an easy to make Chicken Enchilada Casserole Recipe! It takes about 15 minutes to prepare. Chicken Enchiladas are one of our favorite things, but to make them the normal way can be a bit time consuming, so we figure out a way to make it easier!The Casserole Dish I used can be found here: http://amzn.to/2mRH3RrIngredients:2 Cups Leftover Chicken shredded1 Can Enchilada Sauce (10 oz)1 15 oz Can Pinto Beans (drained rinsed)1 Cup Mexican Cheese 5 Flour Tortilla Shells1 Cup Minute rice1/4 cup Tomato Sauce1 tsp Chicken bullion Garlic SaltOregenoBasilA few Jalapenos, and Mild Peppers chopped up (Optional)Directions:Preheat your Oven to 350 Degrees FarenheitIf you don't have leftover chicken, you can use 1 whole chicken breast for this as well (or beef, or no meat, whatever you like). First we are going to prepare the rice. In a small pan, place 1 cup of water, the tomato sauce, the bullion, the chopped up peppers, and then a few dashes of Garlic Salt, Oregano, and Basil, and bring it to a boil. Once the mixture is boiling, add your rice, cover, and let sit for 5 minutes. Take your Casserole Dish and spray it with a nonstick cooking spray. Now we are going to make the layers. First drizzle some enchilada sauce onto the bottom of the pan. Then place one tortilla shell on top of that, and drizzle on more sauce. Now add some chicken, pinto beans, rice, more enchilada sauce, and cheese. Top with a tortilla shell, and then repeat layers until your pan is nice and full. Bake in the oven, covered, for 30 - 40 minutes. The edges will be nice and bubbly. And that's it! Oreo Dessert Pizza | Dessert Ideas with Oreos Snow Dogs Cooking With Jess 2018-01-13 | Today we are taking the Oreo Pizza Challenge and making Oreo Dessert Pizza! That's right, we are showing you how to make Oreo pizza! Desserts make with Oreos are always a win! Most of you already know, Oreos are my favorite cookie! Let us know if you are going to make this dessert! We got this recipe out of an Oreo Cookbook someone sent us. You can find the book here: http://amzn.to/2mrA69AIngredients:30 Oreos1 Package of fudge brownie mix. We used GhiardelliWhatever ingredients the brownie mix you used calls for1 1/2 cup mini marshmallows1/4 cup mimi M&Ms or 1/3 cup regular sized M&MsDon't be afraid to get creative! Try different toppings!Directions:Preheat your oven to 350 Fahrenheit. Spray your pizza pan with a non cook spray. Crush 22 Oreos into Oreo Dirt. Take remaining 8 Oreos, chop them, and set them aside.In a large bowl, prepare your brownie mix according to the package directions. Add the 22 crushed cookies to the mix. Once mixed, pour the batter onto your pizza pan. Spread it out evenly, and put it in the oven. Bake for 18 - 20 minutes or until the edges start to get firm. Remove from oven (be careful everything will be HOT). Top with mini marshmallows, and then put it back in the oven for 1 - 2 minutes, or until the marshmallows begin to get puffy. Now pull ti back out of the oven, and top with your chopped Oreos and M&Ms ! Use a wet hot knife to slice the pizza and serve it warm! We also used the fudge topping from our brownies to add even more fun to the pizza! How to Make Delicious Greek Chicken Lemon Rice Soup | Homemade Soup Snow Dogs Cooking With Jess 2018-01-06 | Greek Lemon Rice Soup! Otherwise known as Lemon Chicken Rice Soup or Avgolemeno Soup! It has many names! This is my favorite soup of all time, and it's also a very simple recipe! Greek Lemon Chicken Rice Soup is one of those soups that only takes a few ingredients and around 40 minutes total to create! It's not as hard as you think and it turns out amazing! It's a great soup to make when it's cold outside, or when you are not feeling so good!This Recipe makes around 2.5 Quarts of Soup.Ingredients2 Quarts of Chicken Broth3 Lemons4 Eggs1 cup of enriched long grain riceDirections:Put 1 cup of enriched Long Grain Rice into your 2 Quarts of Chicken Broth, and bring to a boil. While you are working on bringing that to a boil, juice all of your lemons and set the juice aside. Now separate your eggs, putting the egg whites into a big bowl, and the yellows into a small one. Whisk your egg whites until they form stiff medium peaks. Now continuing to whisky, slowly add the yellows, and then the lemon juice to the egg whites. Continue to mix until frothy. By now, your chicken stock and rice should be boiling. Turn it down to a simmer and simmer for 15 - 20 minutes, or until your rice is nice and tender. Take around 1 - 2 cups of the chicken broth our of your pot(it's okay if you get a bit of rice), be careful as it will be very hot. Slowly pour the hot broth into your egg and lemon juice mixture, while constantly stirring. If you do this to fast, you will cook the eggs, so this has to be done slowly. Once the mixture gets warm, slowly add back into the main pot. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes, and that's it! How to Make Delicious Broccoli Cheddar Soup | Homemade Soup Snow Dogs Cooking With Jess 2017-12-30 | Homemade Broccoli Cheddar Soup! How to make Broccoli Cheese Soup with just five ingredients! That's right, this Broccoli and Cheddar Soup only has FIVE ingredients! It's Easy Broccoli Cheddar Soup! This should really take you less then 30 minutes from start to finish.Ingredients:4 Cups Small Chopped Broccoli 1 Cup of Heavy Whipping Cream1 Tbps Minced Garlic from a Jar (OR 3 - 4 minced garlic cloves)3 1/2 Cups Chicken Broth3 Cups Shredded Mild Cheddar CheeseDirections:Take your fresh broccoli and chop it into small pieces. In a saucepan, take garlic, and a bit of oil, and saute until see through. If you used garlic from a jar, just saute for a few minutes. Now slowly add Chicken Broth, Heavy Whipping Cream, and Broccoli and bring the mixture to a boil. Once it starts boiling, turn down to a simmer, and simmer for 10 - 20 minutes, until your broccoli is tender. Stir occasionally as the whipping cream can burn. After that, turn your mixture down low and slowly start adding in the shredded cheddar cheese. (We actually removed the broccoli for this with a slotted spoon and set it aside, and then melted in the cheese). Add small amounts at a time, and constantly stir so clumps don't form. You also want to make sure it's not to hot when you do this or that will form clumps as well. IF you do end up with clumps, you can either eat the soup as is, or toss it in a food processor and chop up the chunks of cheese a bit. I think the chunks are going to happen no matter what, but hey, it's a simple easy to make soup! There are other ways to make it as well, which we may show you in the future. Hot Chocolate Cookies | Christmas Cookies | Spicy Cookie Snow Dogs Cooking With Jess 2017-12-16 | Today we are making Hot Chocolate Cookies for Christmas! These Spicy Cookies are the perfect Christmas Cookie because they help keep you warm! My parents have been making these cookies at Christmas time ever since I was a kid! You can leave out the spice, but then they really wouldn't be Hot Chocolate Cookies would they! Ingredients:1 3/4 Cup All Purpose Flour2 Tbsp Baking Soda1 tsp Cinnamon1/4 tsp Salt1 Cup Sugar3/4 Cups Shortening1 Egg1/4 Cup Corn Syrup2 oz Unsweetened Baking Chocolate1 tsp - 1 Tbsp Cayenne Powder (depending on how hot you want them)Directions: Preheat your oven to 350 Fahrenheit. In one bowl mix together all of your dry ingredients. In a second bowl, mix together all of your wet ingredients. Now slowly mix the dry into the wet. Once you have a nice dough, you want to roll the cookies into balls. You can see in the video the size they should be. Not too big, but also not to small. Roll the balls in sugar to coat them completely. Place the cookie balls on your cookie sheet and make sure you leave space in between them for them to spread. Bake in your oven for 12 - 15 minutes. You want to watch for them to crack, and then let them stay in for a bit longer after that starts. You want to keep an eye on the cookies, since they are dark, you are not judging how done they are based on their color. You also want to be careful not to shake them once they start cooking, or you will end up with flat cookies! If you do decide to rotate your pans in the middle of baking, just be very careful. After your cookies are done baking, pull them out, but leave them on the tray for another 5 - 10 minutes, then transfer them to your cooling rack. Go ahead and taste them! Enjoy that heat! Gingerbread Jeep | How to Make Gingerbread Creations | Gingerbread Challenge Snow Dogs Cooking With Jess 2017-12-09 | It's time for a Gingerbread House Challenge, but why build a house when you can build a Gingerbread Jeep ! Today we are showing you how to make gingerbread that can be used for any gingerbread creation, but we used to make a gingerbread jeep. This easy gingerbread recipe will work for just about anything you want to build! With a bit of time, and creativity, you will be creating gingerbread houses, gingerbread Jeeeps, gingerbread villages, gingerbread cookies, and any other gingerbread creations you can think of!Gingerbread Ingredients3/4 Cup Brown Sugar3/4 Cup Butter1 Cup Molasses2 tsp Cinnamon1/2 tsp Ginger4 Cups All Purpose FlourDirectionsPlace butter in a small sauce pan on low heat. Once melted, add brown sugar and molasses and stir frequently until completely mixed. In a large bowl combine, flour, ginger, and cinnamon. Whisk together. Slowly add sugar mix to the dry mix and continue to mix until a stiff dough forms. Cover and let dough sit for 30 mins to reach room temperature. Preheat your oven to 350 Fahrenheit. Once dough has sat, now you can roll it out to around 1/4 inch thickness. Cut out whatever pieces you need to build your creation, or cut out cookie shapes. Bake in the oven for 15 - 45 minutes depending on how dark you want your gingerbread to be. Royal Icing Ingredients4 cups Powdered Sugar3 Egg Whites1 tsp Vanilla ExtractDirectionsPlace egg whites in a bowl. Whisk together until you medium to stiff peaks form. Add Vanilla extract and whip a bit more. Slowly add the powdered sugar and continue to mix until the mixture turns very glossy. Now you can put it in a pastry bag to use! If you have extra, put it in a ziploc back so it doesn't get hard. Now you can assemble you creation! Use the royal icing to hold together your gingerbread creation, and to decorate. The Icing dries white. You can use it to hold any candies on your creations as well. Today we are showing you how to make Holly Wreath Cornflakes Cookies. These have many different names, but are basically a No Bake Green Cornflake Cookie, more like a Rice Crispy Treat, but better! Why better? Because they are green, that's why! Enjoy these Marshmallow Cereal Christmas Wreath Treats.Ingredients5 Cups of Cornflakes40 Marshmellows1/2 Cup Butter2 tsp Vanilla extractGreen Food ColoringRed Hot CandiesDirectionsMelts your butter in a pan on a low heat, being careful not to burn it. Then add your marshmallows and stir continuously until they are melted. Once melted add vanilla exact and food coloring. Turn off your heat, and add cornflakes, being careful not to smash them too much. On Wax paper, lightly spray some non-stick spray, and then place a spoonful of your sticky mixture onto the wax paper. Form into a circle and then put a hole in the middle to shape it like a holly wreath. Add the Red hots to make them look like holly berries. Let the Holly Wreath cookies cool!
