Kris Kross Looks Into The Future 1995 MTV Interview

AMixingStandPoint 2025-07-20 | Here’s an interview that was on the MTV Vault website that has since been wiped for reality tv no one cares about.

Chris Kelly mentions Chris Terry, who is featured on their song “Money, Power and Fame” off their third album. Their future record label would be called C-Connection, yet unfortunately Chris Terry passed away in 1999, and Chris Smith stepped away from the music industry leaving Chris Kelly to manage and produce artists under “C-Connection”.

The "Simple Plan: The Kids In The Crowd Documentary" released July 8th, 2025, as so did the soundtrack from the movie including 3 out of the four 1999 demos. Rocket, Anything, and Summer Lies, were included except "Frist Date" despite the instrumental (this video) being in the Documentary and the credits.
Two days later on July 10th, they made this video on their tik tok page showcasing 9 discs that they claimed to be demos from 1999... but guess what, it's essentially 5 copies of the same one song, and 4 of the same 3 songs.

This is kinda funny, they release the demo of "I'm Just A Kid" on Amazon Music as an exclusive which as you can tell is not rare at all, yet they release three of the most rarest never heard before tracks to the public? I bet it was a contracting agreement, maybe if Amazon did their research they'd put ALL 1999 demos there but nope. By the way, the quality on Amazon Music is not good even if you pay for it.

Just download it, comes with "When I'm With You" and "Worst Day Ever", they're not even on the documentary or soundtrack.

1992 was one of the greatest years for Hip Hop. The vibe was upbeat, as groups were becoming more innovative and incorporating multiple elements of modern music to form beats completely original and unmatched. The lyrical wistyles remained street savy and eloquent, but new styles such as those of Das EFX and Black Sheep immerged. Old school heroes like KRS-One and Public Enemy also commanded much respect. With a vocal lead by Alan Jardine, this song dates from the ill-fated
'Landlocked' album (the "Second Brother Records Album") sessions of early 1969.

BRIAN'S BACK (Mike Love)
From Mike Love's unreleased first solo album, 'First Love', this song was recorded in November 1978 at Santa Barbara Sound and produced by Paul Fauerso. A 2.30 edit of the song was played by Mike on a 1979 TM television fund raiser while Dick Clark included it in a three hour radio special about The Beach Boys which he produced and aired on the Memorial Day Weekend (May 23-25, 1981) for The Mutual Broadcasting System. The song was also earmarked for inclusion for the as yet unreleased Beach Boys' produced movie, "California Beach."
The version of the song included here is the actual album track complete with introduction.
