These are mainly focused on the Copy POP, basic Attributes, Noise, the Proximity POP and using TOPs to manipulate POPs.For Example 5 you technically don't need a feedback setup for this exact outcome. You could just as well use an absTime.seconds expression on any axis of a Transform POP and then just add a Limit POP. But I think it's nice to see how feedback can be integrated and it can serve as a base for something much more interesting and if you use something like Uniform Scale, you can see how it adds up with every iteration. elekktronaut — altered states bileam tschepe (elekktronaut) 2024-02-05 | Discovering liberty within everyday existenceMusic video of my own track I made a while back, created with TouchDesigner and StreamDiffusion. I first cut the original video into a basically finished piece and then used that as a source for SD, while adding a bunch of processing including audio reactivity in TD. The final output was deflickered, upscaled and edited with Davinci Resolve and Topaz Video AI. The challenge was to keep the movement of the dancer visible and clear while still adding the abstraction made by TD and SD, so in the end, I had to composite the original with the AI layer -- it was a lot about balancing AI and original. I definitely learned a lot, e.g. it's important that the dancer differentiates from the background if you want the AI to recognize it as such in this workflow, or have them be close enough to the camera. Also the outfit was not ideal, as for the AI to see it's a human figure, it appears to be better if there's a clear and consistent silhoutte. The background should already look close to what you wish to see in the end, for me personally the first part works better than the second, because it's filmed in a building which is closer to the city/graffiti style than what I wanted the second part to look like -- natural and organic. While it was amazing to work with dance and actual video footage, I think I will focus more on purely digital as I'm more in control of the content that way. We're creating an audio-reactive texture in an independant component to be able to do frame by frame animation without worrying about losing frames. TD is running in real-time, but the process itself is not (yet) real-time, as one frame takes 5-10 seconds to be created.Please mind that this is very experimental and just one way (my current approach). This is really just the basic approach, feel free to take this further! Light Replication – TouchDesigner Tutorial 44 bileam tschepe (elekktronaut) 2021-10-12 | In this TouchDesigner tutorial we're looking at a technique that mimics instancing for lights with Replicators, how to style them and how to make them audioreactive. Important: This is not instancing and not nearly as fast to process. Also, apparently it's a lot faster skip the TOP part and simply stay in the CHOP family for the "instancing" channels. The expression used on the Light's Color parameter: op('../col').sample(x = parent().digits, y = 0)[0]The expression used on the Light's Dimmer parameter: op('../brightness')[0][parent().digits]I haven't found a good way to make the lights glow properly. I guess the route would be using a Render Pass and feedback. You could also use the Bloom effect from the palette.
