We used only two Catalysts in this sub, 'cause Soulbeast is also still a very strong option. Could've used Runes of the Elementalist since I technically wasn't in charge of Might, with the Druid in this sub but I forgot. Alternatively, you could also suggest to the Druid that he takes Lingering Light, for increased healing.Also, you wanna make sure if you should be taking Pinpoint Distribution. I only had one Condi DPS so decided to not take it. This build has very little CC, besides Air Blast (Flamethrower 3), it pretty much relies on soft CC (Pistol 5 for Immobilize, Mortar 3 for Chill, and Grenade 3 for Blind), which you can see me use on the Pylons. You should also use Air Blast if needed, but you have to stand pretty close to the Pylon, and since this wasn't the first try, I already was aware our Pylon wasn't gonna be the last one to break. You could take Mech Core: J-Drive (bottom Grandmaster) so F3 has better CC, and Mace for a bit more. But it would still be very little, and I'm not sure how much damage you would lose. You need a certain attack speed for bosses for it to take over Flamethrower. On Mursaat Overseer it kinda breaks even, on bosses that have a higher attack speed, like Cairn, SH, and Largos, Bomb Kit is better. You need two friends to help you out to give you all the required boons.This particular build wasn't grinded at all. I've been spending a lot of time trying out different stuff on a full kit benchmark but that just doesn't seem worth it (38.6k as personal best). Xyonon motivated me to try Shift Signet on the golem and this is the result of ~20 min of tweaking the rotation from four to three kits. I'm not sure what gear is the best since I didn't really wanna delay uploading something. In case someone else wants to optimize, the three viable gear sets (afaik) are Bursting + Malice Sigils with either Thorn Runes or Renegade Runes (probably not Renegade), or Elementalist Runes and Earth + Bursting Sigils. I don't think between PBM and ESCU, one is better than the other; just play what you feel comfortable with:)As for Holosmith on Deimos, the whole fight lines up so nicely for this class. If you have a decent squad DPS, you can pretty much line up every burst with every signet, and it's very easy to get multi hits on every Blade Burst. If you wanna optimize your DPS, pre-cast your trap during the fight whenever you can. Don't proc it when it's about to phase, just delay it for the next phase, you don't really lose that much since it's already going on cooldown when you prepare it. Also, the fires around him after he has dashed to a Pylon don't hurt that much so it's pretty safe to go in and do some damage while dodging the fire procs. Use Unstable Artifact to teleport out. Also during the small windows between phasing at 50%, 40%, and 30% and actually dashing towards the Pylon, he doesn't obstruct you anymore so you'll go through him. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR ORB :)!!!DISCLAIMER!!!So sometimes I get the question about Shadow Flare and how to use it without screwing up the stealth. What works for me is the following:1) get Stealth2) while Stealted, cast Shadow Flare3) Death's Judgment4) 3x Three Round Burst5) "slow stealth skill" 6) Hold the 1-button to cast Death's Judgment, DURING the "slow stealth skill"Slow stealth skill is basically anything, except the Stolen ability. I've found it can sometimes be tricky to cast F2 into Death's Judgment during Shadow Flare. You sacrifice a little bit of damage because you're not using your F2 under the Assassin's Signet, which is usually better. But for me, at least this way it works 100% of the time.As for CC'ing, personally, I like to pre-cast Basilisk Venom, but that means you don't have Shadow Meld for a little while into the fight, which can sometimes be helpful if you can't manage to proc Maleficent Seven before the knockback, 'cause you can just do your remaining Three Round Bursts after and then Shadow Meld, without worrying about the Revealed. As for the other CC phases, F1 the Pylon, and instantly use 3x Headshot, which should then give you your Malice back. That should do 780 of the 1000 Break bar damage. The rest should easily be able to do the remaining 220.If you run into the problem where others do too much cc, and you can't manage to proc M7, leaving you with very little Initiative to start the phase, you can consider bringing Binding Shadow. Your CC chain will be F1-Head Shot-Binding Shadow, doing 660 of the 1000 Break bar. To get the most out of Assassin's Signet, you should keep the passive of it in mind as well. What I typically do when I don't know what kind of Squad DPS I'm dealing with is use Signet at the start of each phase, and delay the second Signet to line up with Shadow Flare, which I expect to be at roughly 5% before the phase ends. However, we had a few tries before, and I noticed the Squad DPS was unusually low, so I tried using Signet three times, and that actually worked. Please don't just use it off cooldown, because often this is not the case.For the last phase, if you're comfortable, and you get a bad tether from Qadim, you can on the other side, away from the main group, so that it doesn't spread more bad tether throughout the Squad. In most pugs, it's pretty hard to bait them out, since many Tanks wait until after the shockwave to go in, even though they could already be close to the center and just dodge. This often resulted in me getting the Fixate and having to run back out of range, and usually, by then, all the bad tethers were already distributed, so I usually just don't bother with it. It might not seem like much gain, but you can't always Flank for Twin Fangs, so the extra Precision isn't all that bad. Often not relevant, but it also has some decent self-quickness, which can be nice if for some reason you don't have good uptime in your group.You can drop main-hand Mace for another Axe if you feel like there's enough CC already.Why Shield you ask? Shield Bash is a lower cooldown than Tremor (Mace5), 20 seconds vs 25 seconds. I've found in pugs you can very often use Shield Bash on every Breakbar, but not really with Tremor. It's a pretty safe option for pugs since you can constantly block to mitigate some of the incoming damage. If you have another reliable source of Stability, you can drop Mantra of Concentration for Signet of Midnight. The gear for the Signet of Midnight build is exactly the same as the regular DPS Condi Chrono as described on the Snow Crows website, if you take Mantra of Concentration as I did in the video, you take that DPS gear, except with full Viper stats, and 45 Expertise from other sources, either 9 Spiteful Infusions instead of Malign Infusions, or 3 Spiteful Infusions and different food, with 100 Expertise/70 Condi Damage.Signet of Midnight: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PiABs+trlVw8YIsE2JWOX/NXA-zRRYfBxaG9cTlRyVQHpg2HkgYP8aSxZF-eMantra of Stability: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PiABs+trlVw8YIML2JWOX/NXA-zRJYmRPfZkcF0RKo9BRES/uYPcAhmUcWB-eI’d strongly recommend taking the Mantra though, especially in pugs where things can go South really fast. In theory, it doesn't lag behind much Mirage, and should be around the same as Condi Chrono. However, it doesn't have a lot of finishers like Mirage does, and since quite a lot of damage comes from fields, it can be a bit annoying if you have to move the boss away from them. One neat trick you can do during the Soulsplit is equip any offensive kit, and drop it during the knock-back to cancel the animation, and then use Med Kit #3, Cleansing Field, to cleanse the Torment. [CnD] 1:38 Gorseval; Virtues Dragonhunter [CnD] Lunar 2020-10-23 | I've had this idea of combining Base Guardians with Retreat with Virtues Dragonhunters ever since they buffed the Inspiring Virtues buff but we never got around actually doing this. I'm really happy we finally got to do this 'iconic boss.'Some notes about the rotation; I skipped Ray of Judgment and Zealot's Defense at the start of the fight 'cause my rotation was gated by weapon swap cooldowns so I wanted to swap to Greatsword as soon as possible. It sacrifices a little bit of DPS in Phase 1 but greatly increased my DPS in Phase 2 and Phase 3. I didn't use any SoJ in the main phases, except the last one, so that I had enough damage in the Split phases without using Spear of Justice there.Made a few small mistakes, unfortunately. I used Leap of Faith at the end of phase 2, instead of a full auto chain rather than just two autos. Should've saved this to leap to the add. It's significantly harder while only being marginally better than the 'simplified rotation.' For starters, we opted for Soulbeasts because they have a lot of self-sustain with Predator's Cunning. Vulture Stance with Leader of the Pack gives us a lot of up-time on this skill, which is not only a lot of damage but also 10-15 stacks of Might and the main source of self-sustain. The rest of the Might was covered by the PS Warrior, who was tanking as well. He could sustain himself with the trait Mending Might and Blood Reckoning.For the other subgroup, the Renegade supplied the Might, as well as Alacrity for the entire squad (the Chrono helped as well with the Alacrity).The Chronomancer was responsible for the Quickness and the Alacrity. One of the subgroup 2 Soulbeasts brought along Moa Stance that was shared with the Chronomancer and the Renegade so they could drop a lot of Concentration so that they could do a lot more DPS. The Chronomancer brought Mantra of Concentration to share Stability to everyone (except the PS Warrior).To ensure everyone shared the correct buffs to the correct people, we had four of the five Soulbeasts from subgroup 1 on the right side (on the Circle marker), the fifth Soulbeast from subgroup 1 with the Chronomancer and subgroup 2 on the left side (Arrow marker) and the PS Warrior alone (on the Heart marker). This allowed us to guarantee that Moa Stance would be applied to the Chronomancer and the Renegade, that the Renegade would buff Might to Subgroup 2 and the Chronomancer, and that the PS Warrior would buff Might to subgroup 1. [CnD] Condi Holosmith | 35.9k (37.2k-41.6k w/ Confusion) [CnD] Lunar 2020-04-13 | I changed some very minor things here and there. The most significant change was the opener. Grenade Barrage doesn't really do enough damage to delay the entire rotation so I delayed that until I'm back in Grenade Kit, instead of doing it at the start, before even going into Photon Forge. Also I found away to always cast Prime Light Beam in the opener right after Photonblitz, without cancelling Blitz, or risking casting it too late. If you set PLB as an auto attack while on Pistols, it will always cast it right after Photonblitz :)Condi Holo does a fair bit of Confusion damage, which doesn't proc on the Golem. [CnD] Rifle Deadeye | 37.7k [CnD] Lunar 2020-04-10 | I have to say the bug fix on Assassin's Signet wasn't as big as I thought it would be.For those curious what the bug fix was:In the so-called Path of Fire pre-patch, Assassin's Signet was reworked to roughly it's current form. Before this patch, the signet active read "Deal 15% more damage on your next five attacks." When they changed it to simply grant more Power, the Devs forgot to remove the 15% damage bonus on the next five attacks.
