The Ozark Mill Flood May 2022 Finley Farms & The Ozark Mill 2022-05-06 | Finley Farms & The Ozark Mill experience its biggest flood since The Mill's foundation was reworked and elevated. We battened down the hatches, lowering our flood doors and cranking up The Chapel's facade. While much cleanup is in our future, our property has survived another flooding of the Finley River thanks to our talented team of engineers and craftsmen. Historic Riverside Bridge Finds New Home at Finley Farms in Ozark MO Finley Farms & The Ozark Mill 2021-04-02 | The iconic century-old bridge links community and the past. On March 30, 2021, Finley Farms celebrated the raising of the historic Riverside Bridge in Ozark, Missouri, where the “Chadwick Flyer” railroad once crossed the Finley River. More than 100 community members and local leaders gathered together for the event, enjoying hot coffee, small bites and a short program in advance of the bridge raising. Speakers included Megan Stack with Finley Farms, Kris Dyer with Save Riverside Bridge Initiative, Mary Kromrey with Ozark Greenways, Steve Childers with City of Ozark, and Dayle Duggins with Finley Farms. Ozark High School's Drumline provided entertainment for the event and welcomed the Riverside Bridge home with a powerful drumroll. Once at risk of being destroyed due to repeated flood damage, the structure was saved thanks to a grassroots effort from committed local citizens. Afterward, the iconic bridge was fully restored and relocated by Johnny Morris, noted conservationist and founder of Bass Pro Shops, along with Johnny’s daughter Megan Stack, who serves as the visionary for the Finley Farms project. The revitalized bridge will soon complement farm-to-table inspired dining options and event spaces at The Ozark Mill while connecting the community to the outdoors and Ozarks history.
