Types of Borders 💫Pearl: Round piping tip #4. Apply generous pressure to push the buttercream out into a round pearl shape, then release pressure and pull the piping tip towards the right. Repeat the next pearl touching the pearl before it. 💫Shell: Star piping tip #18 and 4B. Same as above but when you release pressure, pull the piping tip towards the right. Repeat the process and pipe the repeating shells slightly overlapping/making contact with the ones previously piped. 💫Ruffle: Petal piping tip #150. Keep the thin end of the piping tip facing down/out to get a thin edge on the ruffle. Apply even pressure, slightly wiggling the piping tip up and down/in and out as you pipe, more wiggle = more ruffled.
Lambeth Piping Tips 🩷Remove as many air bubbles as possible from buttercream before coloring and loading the piping bags by “tempering” the buttercream; melting a small portion in the microwave (⅛-⅙ of the total amount) and then mix it back into the bowl until incorporated. Another is mixing by hand with a silicone spatula pressing the buttercream along the sides of the bowl. 💛Practice each piping technique on parchment before applying to the cake. 💜Start each line of piping at the “back” of the cake so any stopping/starting points aren’t front and center.PYWilton has a new look fresh out of the oven!Wilton2024-06-06 | We’ve redecorated! 🎂🎉 Our bold, vibrant look is fresh out of the oven and represents a modern take on tradition while paying homage to our rich heritage. Ingredients: 1 cup granulated sugar 4 egg whites Pinch of salt 4 ounces bittersweet bar chocolate, chopped 1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) butter, softened and cut into 1/2 inch pieces 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions: 🤎In the top pan of the double boiler, combine sugar, egg whites and salt. Whisk constantly over simmering water until mixture reaches 160°F on a thermometer and sugar is fully dissolved, about 20-25 minutes. 🤎Transfer to the bowl of a stand mixer. Using a whisk attachment, whip at high speed until mixture cools to room temperature, about 15-30 minutes. The time will vary depending on the temperature of the kitchen, and may be longer. Do not move on to the next step until the mixing bowl feels fully cooled to the touch. 🤎Meanwhile, melt chocolate: in a medium microwave safe bowl, microwave chopped chocolate at half (50%) power 1 minute; stir. Microwave on 50% power in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until chocolate is melted. (Chocolate can also be melted on top of the stove in a heavy saucepan over low heat). Stir until smooth and let cool slightly. 🤎Switch to a paddle attachment on the mixer. Gradually add butter, 1 piece at a time, beating on medium speed. Let each piece of butter incorporate fully before adding another. Scrape down bottom and sides of bowl as needed. Add vanilla; beat until combined. Gradually pour in melted chocolate and beat until well-combined, scraping down bottom and sides of bowl as needed. Use immediately or store until needed.Heart Cupcake Pull Apart Mini CakeWilton2024-02-14 | A Cupcake pull apart heart cake is the perfect surprise for your Valentine. 🧁💖 Here's how to create this twist on the popular flat-top cupcake craze: Pipe a red buttercream heart onto parchment paper using tip #1A and smooth out with an offset spatula.
