After almost half a year, I’m so delighted to finally get my hair done again. Oh to sit on a salon chair for hours again. I figured it would be an opportunity to do a hair reveal alongside with my 8 month tummy tuck update. My tummy tuck was definitely one of the best things I did last year. The scarring will take time to fade and while I’m optimistic that it will lighten and smooth out more, I have happily accepted I will always have a scar that will run hip to hip. The best thing about my tummy tuck is definitely the muscle repair.I forgot to mention that sometimes when I lay on my tummy (especially left side), I do feel a little tugging in the tummy region. Never painful or too uncomfortable but I do feel the stretch so then I will change sleeping position. I will hopefully make a final tummy tuck scar update several months later.As for my new hair, I LOVE IT!!! I feel so light and fresh with the shorter hair. I feel like I could definitely go even shorter next time. I’ve been playing around with modelling clay with the kids and although I’m no expert, I’m happy to share some of these extremely simple Autumn craft ideas with you all. They're so simple to create yet they look so wonderful. I’m going to share how I make my little whimsical pumpkins, leaf dishes and leaf tea light holders. All you need is clay, paint, PVA glue and some glitter. Get the rest of your family involved and get crafty!! Crafting is such a great way to relax from a stressful day. For me, it's therapy. MY TUMMY TUCK EXPERIENCE & 4 DAYS POST OP | Q&A bubzbeauty 2020-08-20 | Hello everyone,I am officially 5 days post op today and I am feeling SO good. My recovery has been so smooth so far and I am so thankful that the procedure went so well. I think I anticipated the experience to be rough but it's actually not been difficult at all. I'm so excited to share with you all my Tummy Tuck experience and 4 days post op vlog. I actually really enjoyed editing it and even now I cannot believe it's all over. I know it will be a long journey to recovery but I know the hardest days are over (and it wasn't too bad for me actually). I Am Getting A Tummy Tuck bubzbeauty 2020-07-25 | What a year 2020 has been so far. Today, I am excited to update you that I will be getting abdominoplasty aka a tummy tuck. It was supposed to happen 4 months ago but understandably got postponed due to the pandemic. Being able to carry and birth two beautiful children will always be the biggest blessing of my life. I am proud and thankful for what this body has done but that’s not to say it didn’t come with sacrifice. For the longest time, I told myself my saggy and wrinkly tummy is a reminder of how strong my body and how blessed I am. At the same time, my tummy has been an insecurity of mine and I now know that if I can do something about it and if I’m physically and mentally prepared, I can. I don’t need a wrinkly tummy to remind me of those things. I know my I am strong and I am blessed. All the devices, serums and dermarolling has helped to firm the skin slightly but end of the day, extra skin is extra skin. I'm ready to for my mummy makeover. I’m not trying to become perfect. I know I will not return to my former glory body. But this surgery is something I really want to do for myself. I want to do this for me and it will make me happy. I’m glad from consultation to now, it has been almost 9 months because I needed to be in a good place mentally. I am so ready for this operation and I am no longer afraid of the pain. I am not worried about the recovery down time because now I know I deserve it too. I’m really excited for this new chapter in my life and I hope you will support me throughout this journey. I am grateful for all the Tummy tuck videos here on youtube and I hope my experience can be part of this library so those who are researching can get as much information and experiences as possible. Hello everyone!Ok, I love being a mummy and I love my little ones but cannot deny that the pregnancies took a toll on my body and confidence. I’ve never been shy to show how my saggy tummy as I knew it was just one of the many faces of post pregnancy. I was never ashamed of my body because I was so flipping proud of what it could do so why should I hide it? In fact, it felt so freeing and liberating to share to people around me. That’s not to say thatI don’t get bad days. I’ve never been so upset with my saggy belly that I’ve cried or fell into depression but I did realise I would be self conscious in the bedroom. My mentality was, if there was something I can do about it, why not? Still, surgical treatment was never something I took seriously on my radar. I couldn’t afford the recovery time and mentally and physically, I knew I was not strong enough to go through with it. Then my cosmetic surgeon friend asked me if I tried derma rolling on my body.I’ve previously heard wonderful results from those who used it on their acne scars and fine lines but never have I pondered with the idea of derma rolling my tummy. It was relatively low cost and at this rate, I figured I’ll have nothing to lose since my tummy was already a lost cause. So I went on a 6 month journey and decided to document the results.The results have been positively surprising. I never expected my tummy to go back to it’s former glory but I can do see the subtle changes throughout the months of rolling. I’ve recently progressed on to a 2mm roller. I’m going to keep rolling and we will see how things look in another 6 months time. Maybe there is somebody out there just like me so here I am sharing this video. Edit:I've had some questions asking if my exercising helped to improve the appearance of my tummy. My exercising certainly helped to tighten my muscles (improved my muscle separation by MILES) but it did not improve the appearance of my skin. You can look up the affects on exercise and saggy skin online too but the short answer is, it cannot stimulate production of new skin. If exercising did the job for me (and others who hit their fitness goals), many would not resort to tummy tucks. I actually started rolling in June and it was at the height of my fitness where I was working out at least 4-5 times a week and eating most clean yet my stomach was still visibly wrinkly. I don't work out as often (about twice a week) and intense as before and I am still seeing my tummy improve bit by bit. I KNOW my skin feels smoother too and exercise cannot do this. I hope this helps. NOTE: This video reveals my very own experience and so please understand that results will be different for everybody. I’m not encouraging everyone to run and buy a derma roller. I invite you to watch this video with an open mind. I researched for weeks before I made the purchase of a roller. If you do decide to try out derma rolling, never ever share your derma rollers and make sure you put hygiene and safety first. AWESOME NEWS! Why I Disappeared bubzbeauty 2019-07-01 | Hello my dearest ones!What a pleasure to be here once again like old times. Truthfully, I'm quite nervous heh...This channel ignited my passion & dreams and then opened up many doors for me and yet for a while, I dreaded being here. It stopped feeding me spiritually. Today, I explain open up on why I “left” and why I suddenly had a change of heart. In a nutshell, I lost my purpose and then felt like I lost my sense of belonging. Even though I often did feel guilty for abandoning you guys, I never regretted how things turned out. My kids needed me. My mantra I kept repeating to myself was that my children won't be little for long. Now that Isaac is about to start Primary school after Summer and Ayla about to start daycare, I cannot believe I'm actually about to have a little more time to myself. The timing is perfect. The season has come for me to step forward again. Today I’m putting it out there into the universe that I am making a comeback with zero expectations. I'm happy to start from square one again except this time, I'm starting with experience.I was just going to start posting here more but figured if I'm going to really start things off again, I'm going to be honest with you all first and start with a nice clean slate. It was everything I dreamed and more. It was absolutely surreal seeing our students and teachers. I will never forget the kind faces, beautiful smiles and grateful hugs. Semi Permanent Makeup | Is It Worth It? bubzbeauty 2018-04-29 | Hi Fam!As promised, today I will be sharing my experience getting semi permanent makeup with you all. I'll be explaining why I wanted it done, whether it hurts and whether it's worth it. My eyebrow and lip embroidery was done at Careyou Beauty in Landmark at Central by the lovely and talented Carey. http://www.careyoubeauty.comIn a nutshell, I LOVE my eyebrows. I love looking semi presentable when I leave the house in the morning. Even when I do fill in my brows, I can do it in a flash. My lips don't look as obvious but I don't think I appear as "sickly" as I used to. All in all, it's been such a positive experience. My advice is to take your time to do your research. Make sure whoever is doing your eyebrows is experienced and knows what suits your face shape and lifestyle best. FULLER Lips in 1 MIN? bubzbeauty 2018-04-08 | Hey everyone,Today, I'll be testing and reviewing the Juvalips device. It claims to give you a FULLER pout in 1-2 minutes with results lasting 6-8 hours. Their videos were ALL OVER my Facebook and I thought I'll put this product to the test. I had my friends fooled (and a lot of you actually) that I "had" lip fillers. I've always had pretty small lips and it's fine because I just thought it suited my face shape. However, full lips seem to be the (even bigger) craze these days and I was also curious to see how I would look with a more luscious pout. I'm not gonna lie, I did find myself pouting much more afterwards but I do think I suit my own modest lips more. Nonetheless, the device was still fun. Is it worth it though? Short answer is, if something sounds too good to be true, usually it is. Starting Over Again bubzbeauty 2018-01-06 | Hello Youtube Fam,It's our very first video for 2018 and I decided it's time I be honest with you all and tell you guys know what's been on my mind for the past couple years. How I’ve truly been feeling about Youtube, why I distanced myself away from the beauty community and why I’m starting all over again.I honestly told myself it's because I've been busy and yet I know if there is a will, there is a way. It’s been so long since our last Girl Talk episode and since this topic has been requested so much, I figured it would be the perfect time to share the 10 Secrets of a Long Lasting Relationship.Mind you, I am by no means a relationship expert nor do I claim to know everything. I can only share the fundamentals that kept Tim and I together throughout these 13-14 years. That’s right, I’ve spent almost half of my life with this man already. It’s been an incredible time but believe me, there have also been many difficult moments too. Truth is, despite what you think- ALL relationships are hard work. There have been many times where we wondered if we would be better off apart but in the end, we fight for each other because we realise this love is worth fighting for despite our short comings. I want to put it out there that Tim and I do not have a perfect relationship and the simple reason is because neither of us are perfect. I believe that if the foundation of a relationship is built in kindness, it will only thrive. In the end, it all comes down to it being a choice. Relationships are hard, full stop. Winged Eyeliner For Hooded Eyes bubzbeauty 2017-02-18 | Hello Youtube Family,This tutorial is dedicated to all the hooded eye beauties out there (although also works well with other eye types too). I used to watch a bunch of eyeliner tutorials and get frustrated because it never quite gave me the same results. Some people say winged eyeliner is the “devil” for hooded eyes. Because we have excess skin, it can cause the winged eyeliner to distort and sag instead. I, myself have hooded eyes and through the years- I discovered that I just simply need to work with my features rather than against them.I love eyeliner because I believe it truly transforms the eyes with the least amount of time and effort. The winged eyeliner is possibly the most popular eyeliner style to wear because it makes the eyes longer AND wider. Simple clean lined eyes and a pop of lip colour never goes out of style. Here are my tips and tricks to perfecting winged eyeliner for hooded eyes. Hope you enjoy!! Also remember that in the end of the day, as long as you got the confidence, you can rock anything. CLEAN & DRY Brushes In Seconds? bubzbeauty 2017-01-19 | Hello hello!I saw a video on Stylpro months back and was so eager to try this bad boy out. A part of me wondering if this would be a gimmick product. It almost sounds too good to be true. Clean AND Dry brushes in seconds? Does it really work? Let's see if it's worth the hype!Ps. Lasagne was awesome. Pps. I bought Stylpro myself.What I actually find most useful is the actual spinning. When my makeup cleansing solution runs out, I will most likely continue to wash my brushes with a normal soap bar. However, it will be handy to dry my brushes with this tool. Is it worth 50 bucks for a drying tool? Hmm... You guys decide.
