The score on the movie was composed by Murray Munro of Mainframe. At the end of the album, you'll hear a track that he composed for the film. For the visual of this YT compilation, I cropped the nice little comments from the director Nigel Dick about each song.Quite a fair bit of EQ was needed, all tracks sound like they were ripped from separate masters and then stuck together. Because of this it sounded mostly awful when changing tracks. The track River Of People especially suffered bad mixing with a piercing triangle and odd mud.. Btw, if you notice some of the songs are in weird speeds, that's how it is on the cassette and in the film itself surprisingly. I think its just so that they could cut it nicely to scenes.0:00 1. Mainframe: 5 Minutes Rarity 2019-01-31 | Audio remastered (replaced from vinyl rip) and video upscaled/fixed by me (Rarity/Robyn.)This is the best quality you'll find this online! Originally, the only copy of the music video I could find was on the MTV website, which is incorrectly deinterlaced and thus impossible to fix. I replaced the music with a vinyl rip, but kept all of the extra sound effects that were put into the video.If anyone has an even better quality version of the music video, please share it!!
Brass-Express: Street Beat (full album) Rarity 2019-01-26 | Bought, ripped and (barely) remastered by myself (Rarity/Robyn). The Brass-Express project's first and only album, from 1989, a year after the release of the maxi-single "Gimme the Brass". However, the sound they went for is more like Captain Hollywood with sampling. Check out "Do That Thang" which should all be on YouTube, it's a very similar style and Hollywood does in fact rap on the song "I'm Def".The album was only released on CD, though the back cover suggests that they planned cassette and vinyl releases. Assume this is from either commercial failure or because of uncleared samples. Anyone wanna identify all of the samples?
