VINTAGE KNITTING SOURCES
Places to find digitized vintage and antique knitting patterns:
archive.org (the Knitting Reference Library has lots of digitized books)
antiquepatternlibrary.org
Project Gutenberg: gutenberg.org
Hard copy books:
Abe Books (used books from sellers around the world)
etsy (also digitized patterns)
eBay (also digitized patterns)
Digitized copies of Weldon's Practical Needlework for sale from Piecework:
You can get Weldon's Practical Stocking Knitter (First and Second Series, published 1885) here: shop.longthreadmedia.com/products/weldons-practical-stocking-knitters-first-and-second-series
Mors hel socks by Inga skeie has what looks like a very similar heel to the Norwegian sock I've been studying, but it's possible there are some differences ("Manufacturer's Heel" or "Shaped Common Heel" are some common names for this type of heel in 19th century English-language stocking patterns.)
Berry Waves sock pattern from DROPS has an "old fashioned heel" which includes the k2togtbl method of binding off each needle, but the heel flap is worked differently than the Norwegian sock I'll be reverse engineering

The Knitter's Handy Book of Sweater Patterns by Ann Budd.
amzn.to/3S3ThDt
Basic sweaters for sizes from small child up through extra-large adult, in any gauge from 3 sts/in to 7 sts/in. These sweaters are all knit bottom up, in pieces and seamed.
The Knitter's Handy Book of Top-Down Sweaters by Ann Budd.
amzn.to/3dc4jI4
Similar concept as the previous book. These sweaters are all knit top-down, seamlessly.
Knitting from the Top by Barbara G. Walker
amzn.to/3L9Gld2
A variety of sweater styles, including two methods for working a sweater with set-in sleeves seamlessly (short row sleeve cap, and simultaneous set-in sleeves). The process of knitting a sweater using whatever gauge you get with your yarn combined with your desired chest circumference is described in a conversational way.
Knitting Without Tears by Elizabeth Zimmermann
amzn.to/3QBjBnn
Several different seamless sweater styles are included in this book, all knit from the bottom up, with the exception of the Kangaroo Pouch Sweater (seamless set-in), in which the body is knit totally in the round, bottom up. Armholes and neck are steeked (cut open) and sleeves are knit top down.
The Sweater Workshop 2nd edition by Jacqueline Fee
amzn.to/3RNMOx6
An expansion of Elizabeth Zimmermann's concepts, using a more structured approach to the explanations.
Amy Herzog's Ultimate Sweater Book
amzn.to/3LanYES
A number of different sweater styles are included in this book, with complete patterns, as well as extensive information on modifying and designing sweaters to accommodate size and fit issues.
RAVELRY PROJECT PAGES FOR THE EXAMPLE SWEATERS SHOWN IN THIS VIDEO. Project page will contain a link to the Ravelry pattern page (if there is one), as well as the yarn used to knit the sweater.

SOCKS
I custom fit socks according to the recipient's foot measurements, and I modify the heels and toes based on the measurements, adjusting the standard formulas for that heel/toe based on those measurements.
My August Sock KAL tutorial (for cuff down socks) ravelry.com/patterns/library/august-sock-kal
has written information on taking those measurements and making the calculations. Many of my YT videos are associated with that tutorial.
