Treasure Island The Advenure Begins Television Special Pop Goes The Culture 2014-09-17 | This 47 minute movie aired as a NBC special in 1994 and was later sold on VHS at the Treasure Island Hotel. This program was produced to celebrate the opening of the resort in Las Vegas. In 1994 Las Vegas was in the height of catering to families and the film definitely makes that clear. The cast chews through the scenery at times and Steve Wynn makes several appearances so he can be a member of SAG. It is regretful that the Treasure Island hotel of '94 is no more in 2014. Very little to no pirate theme, the sign out front says "TI" and now caters to the ultra lounge crowd and $500 bottle service. ZZzzZZZzzzI make no claims of copyright for this program.
