Adventures of 2014 goldpikpikcarrots 2015-03-30 | Hey everyone! I finally sorted through all of my footage from the many trips I went on last year and compiled them all into one video. The result turned out great! I spent 3 weeks in Shanghai, 1 week in Japan, and 1 week in Portland (I also went to Guam for a week as well, but I recorded next to nothing, so I didn't bother including it).All of the places I travelled to were fantastic. Each was a chance to learn about culture, explore the unknown, and create unforgettable experiences. This is my remix of Rap Reiplinger's "Aunty Marialani's Cooking Show" sketch, a part of his comedy sketch collection titled "Rap's Hawaii." Very bizarre choice, I know, but it is a fond part of my childhood, and I wanted to share it with you. Even though non-locals probably wouldn't get the humor.This was one of the few experiments I did that came out pretty catchy. Every sound you hear (save for the kick drum) is from the sketch. I just thought of the pun (Wizperlude) and decided to go with it. I recently got Adobe After Effects, and wanted to test it out. Certainly far from perfect, but this was pretty much my prototype AE video.Some effects work well, some...not so much. (the weird stuff going on at 0:39 KILLS me, but I couldn't fix it...) This is my fan video of Pogo's track "I Want..." which samples various sounds and chords from the 1971 movie "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory."The primary reason why this took so long to finish was because the only copy of Willy Wonka I had was VERY old. The file itself was slightly corrupted, which lagged and kept crashing my video editor every so often, and the renders of the final video kept skipping. This is his track "Go Out and Love Someone," which uses dialogue from the movie "Carry On Cruising." Note, however, that (as far as I know) the only sounds that come from this movie are the dialogue sections only. The other sounds are from other sources.
