Inspired by critical theory, science fiction, ritual practices and the material force of low frequency sounds, since 2007 Dadub have been evolving its sound across heterogeneous sonic territories while researching uncharted techniques and approaches to bass music.Dadub is a rhizomatic entity, initially conceived by Daniele Antezza and then joined first by Giovanni Conti and presently by Marco Donnarumma. He studied piano then harpsichord in Paris, won several international first prizes for his instrumental interpretations ranging from renaissance music to contemporary music. He left Europe for Asia, led a nomadic life during which he recorded traditional songs. Upon his return to Europe in 2019, he returns to music as a performer. His work focuses mainly on the organ and the ‘no-input’ mixing board. He collaborated on many albums with musicians from the fields of jazz, ambient and contemporary music, and old Renaissance and Baroque music (Jiří Stivín, Martin Kratochvíl, Tony Ackermann, Alan Vitous, Iva Bittová, Michal Pavlíček, Vladimír Merta, Zuzana Homolová, Bryce Dessner and Clogs, etc).He was a member of various musical ensembles - e.g. Agon, Trijo, Capella Antiqua e Moderna, Musica Antiqua Praha, Pro Arte Antiqua, Hokr and others. Together with his wife Irena, they compose music for films, theater and dance performances, and are also engaged in free improvisation with musicians, dancers and theater artists around the world. Described as “a musical enigma” by The Guardian, Metwalli has self-published over 30 songs and amassed over 3 million streams and over 35 thousand followers on Soundcloud. Starting with only her acoustic guitar and voice, she gradually expanded her live set after studying music production in 2014. She digitally self-released her debut EP "Beitak" towards the end of 2016 and has been revamping her sound and developing her modus operandi since. Lately, she has been making way for the influences of all the Egyptian pop as well as classics she listened to growing up to leak out of her subconsciousness and find their way onto a bedding course of what she calls "strange sounds coming out of synthesizers and drum machines." She uses sound modules to produce gritty textures and unsettling soundscapes, and her voice to explosively yowl what she has to sing, ever so flirting with the line between emotional resonance and fervor and the entertainment aspect of the pop diva identity. Her sound has been described as evocatively avant-pop, a horror film score, heavy, haunting, and all-encompassing. CORAL ROJO ◣sound sequence volume 5◥ Petites Planètes / Vincent Moon 2022-12-19 | ◣sound sequence◥ CORAL ROJO'Vuela Golondrina'a film by Vincent MoonIt was a fortunate occasion - and a rare one - to reconnect with Coral Rojo, the 5 guys from Chile who blew me and my friend's ears for the past 3 years - by merging polyphonic techniques from eastern europe with traditional south-american / indigenous themes.It was summer 2022, they were touring Europe - in between traditional concert venues and spiritual circles. I missed their show the night before in town, but they had one more day to spend in Berlin and wanted to hang out - and I just arrived in the afternoon.We decided at the last minute (not too dissilimar to what happened in late 2019 in Santiago, when we met them and recorded a now cult song for la Blogothèque) to organize a home-party at a friend's place; with them came a dozen of very close poetic companions, to share stories, to pass along tricks, to spread magical knowledge.Late in the night, when the party was turning its head and the guys almost on their way to the hotel, I asked them for one last song. PEOPLE ★ a music film by Vincent Moon (official) Petites Planètes / Vincent Moon 2022-12-16 | PEOPLE FESTIVAL 2018https://peoplefestival.berlin/In August 2018, in Berlin, the Michelberger invited 200 artists, mostly musicians, from across the global spectrum of music nowadays.They were welcomed in the historic Funkhaus to explore new music, together, across 30 Studios and 8 stages - working and improvising during one week prior to a 2-days festival, which would gather more than 3000 people.PEOPLE is non-hierarchical. It is put together by the artists with full freedom. There are no sponsors or brands. No line up. No artist fees. 100% of the ticket costs went towards the production. LES FILLES DE SHIRAZ (Iran, 2019) Petites Planètes / Vincent Moon 2022-10-16 | Iran, october 2019.We were traveling for some weeks without any clear purpose of recording music, but some magical encounters opened doors towards the sounds of ancient Persia.We met 'Les Filles de Shiraz' through Sara, while traveling in Yazd. She mentioned her life as a female musician in Iran, the difficulties coming with it (impossibility to perform as a solo female musician in public, etc...) and we decided to meet a few days later in her hometown - this time accompanied by 3 other wonderful ladies musicians. Throughout their decades-long musical partnership, Czech artists Irena Havlová and Vojtěch Havel have traveled far and wide, through time and space. They started working together in the mid-eighties, touring styles of European classical music ranging from the Renaissance to contemporary. In the nineties, they crossed continents, cultures and mediums (film as well as music) together. In the process, the duo made fans which include Sufjan Stevens and The National's Bryce Dessner. To this day, this husband-and-wife’s varied creative output is difficult, if not impossible, to put in a box.Vincent Moon's Live Cinéma takes place Friday, 11 November during Le Guess Who? 2022. Having greatly expanded their audience following an acclaimed performance at Nyege Nyege Festival, they are one of the few remaining groups playing the embaire.The embaire is a large wooden xylophone performed by up to eight musicians simultaneously, who weave together polyrhythmic short melodic phrases. Ensemble members may also sing in unison or in call and response, playing with other percussive instruments to keep the tempo. The energy of his songs is immutable and timeless. His "tonadas" are healing and connecting melodies connected to the beauty of everyday nature.Simón Díaz was a Venezuelan singer and composer of Venezuelan music. He endeavored to recover the folklore and musical traditions of the llanos, the Venezuelan plains. This style of music has since been performed by artists such as Argentina's Mercedes Sosa, Brazil's Caetano Veloso, Spain's Joan Manuel Serrat, Peru's Susana Baca, Puerto Rico's Danny Rivera, and Venezuelans Franco De Vita, Soledad Bravo, Juan Carlos Salazar, Carlos Baute and José Luis Rodríguez, among others. AA'IN means "soul" in the wayuu language, a tribe living between Venezuela and Colombia. Since the dawn of time and until their end, music has sealed the union between the different parts of the human soul. Une vingtaine de musicien.nes auteurs-compositeurs-interprètes internationaux réunis par Petites Planètes et Souffle Collectif, pendant une semaine. A neo-folklore which changes with each of the immersions offered by Robin Decourcy and his surprise guests: choreographers, musicians, circus artists. Practice inspired by post-modern dance, the history of trance and nomadism, this set of multi-sensory experiences is presented in the form of games, scores and more archaic rites, Different proprioceptive techniques such as empathic duets , occult explorations, murmurations are offered in resonance with selected landscapes. During the course, certain breaks allow participants to explore more intensely their capacity for perception, relationship and composition with the ecosystem present. Ambitioning, in a broader way, to transpose poetic actions in the emotional body and the social body, the Trek Danse opened up to great immersive performances in which the public is caught in an enchanted scenario where the real and the fiction are found strangely intertwined. These hundreds of hours culminate in a final show which is their arrival and return among us. The scene is transformed every day by another team of scenographic, visual and sound artists who are inspired by their filmed and recorded adventures, immediately remixed each evening. As much as the poetic and sensitive portrait of a social space, of its inhabitants, human and non-human, the BANDITS project is the proposal to re-breathe or to reveal the carnival of reality that surrounds us. This project was born in Peru and Ecuador during an artistic residency and the meeting with Shuar shamans. The athletic and artistic exploit begins in celebration and in music, under a banner. The public can follow and interact with the gamers in costume and bib, as well as attend their daily meeting on a time of instant composition. These hundreds of hours culminate in a final show which is their arrival and return among us. The scene is transformed every day by another team of scenographic, visual and sound artists who are inspired by their filmed and recorded adventures, immediately remixed each evening. As much as the poetic and sensitive portrait of a social space, of its inhabitants, human and non-human, the BANDITS project is the proposal to re-breathe or to reveal the carnival of reality that surrounds us. This project was born in Peru and Ecuador during an artistic residency and the meeting with Shuar shamans.
