I loved that game and wanted to see if the mechanics could translate to a 3D action adventure. I have always been absolutely in awe of the world and artistic design of the oddworld games and wanted to be able to explore them more thoroughly and intimately and a 3rd person game could allow this.
I tweaked a few mechanics while trying to stay true to the original games design.
