Still looking/waiting for release of the shark song!
First time in a while where I could be competitive in a chanmi and this happens though, I recorded it cause of how nonsensical it was.
0* Crow, 1* Nemesis, 1* King
Jetpack/Grappling Hook/Couant/Hologram Projector/Omnium Shield/Missiles/Magnetic Storm
This was not a straight run, there were a lot of failures cut out. The two bosses this time were probably among the worst. Lucia and Frigg each took me 2 hours to beat. They removed the buff that scales off kills, which really sucks for low CS runs. Most of the buff strategies are the same still. Look for them with jetpack/grappling hook, try to get sets of four. Try to kill 2+ bosses at 75%+, etc.
Lucia: At level 4, my buffs were quite bad. Very hard to avoid timeout and tick damage. The issue is when she does shield into nearly unavoidable spin*2 at low life and you need to break her before she gets her ult, which killed me repeatedly past 0 seconds when I didn't have health to tank the sequence. Maybe I should have flown more and stall fired with Nemesis more.
Frigg: Kill her before she kills you, no other way. Her charged sword shield sequence at 3 and 2 lifebars is super free damage with King breaking her so fast, however she does not do one more on her last lifebar until the very end, otherwise she'd be really easy. Sakura slash spam is insanely annoying as it is nearly guaranteed damage with infinite range. You just pray she doesn't keep doing it over and over while trying to mitigate the damage as much as you can but still saving dodges for her other attacks, as they will usually one shot at this point. Really annoying RNG-based battle that last lifebar is.
00:23 3-1
7:31 3-2
15:03 3-3
22:16 3-4 Lucia
28:12 3-5
34:45 3-6
39:49 3-7
46:01 3-8 Frigg
Sometimes I was lucky, sometimes they were lucky, sometimes people didn't know how to deal with unfamiliar situations, but everyone knew what to do on offense.
Jetpack/Grappling Hook/Missiles
This was not a straight run, there were a lot of failures (Stage 2 in particular) cut out. Most of the difficulty is frontloaded. The most difficult stages are the first four at this low CS. Picking up time is necessary in the beginning stages where your DPS is garbage. You will need to abuse Crow jetpack and Nemesis neutral dodge slow field an absurd amount. If you are really cheesy you can reload stages and use jetpack/grappling hook to look for free blues, I get lucky on a lot of stages but I didn't really reload looking for them, I just reloaded stage if I died.
On buffs:
An elite is worth 25%, so 4 elites will end a stage. That means you should be getting 4 buffs minimum per stage. However, free blue buffs will sometimes spawn in the level, hence why I use grappling hook along with jetpack to search for these quickly. Sometimes you get unlucky and cannot find elites.
You want to go for damage boost on kill and main DPS elemental damage (volt), the former is a way to scale up besides relying on elites/random blues. Once you get to 4 stacks of the first you can start killing random mobs in addition to 4 elites per stage. A note when you clear a stage, all mobs in range will die and drop their item, this means if you're at 75% and two elites are near you, killing one will clear the stage and get you both their drops. This also means that if you kill a low level mob to clear a stage next to an elite, you get the elite's drop for minimal effort, something I could have done on stage 7 but forgot to.
Despite having a 3* Samir, I don't think she would have let me cheese the stages as hard as Crow does, I use her for Bygone mainly. (no jetpack cheese :V)
00:15 Level 2-1
7:35 Level 2-2
14:44 Level 2-3
22:10 Level 2-4 Hyenatron
28:05 Level 2-5
33:46 Level 2-6
38:31 Level 2-7
44:10 Level 2-8 Chiron
Hyenatron was also way easier than Frigg at Stage 20, though I did abuse 1* Coco to heal back to full since she did like 90% of my health lol.
You don't have enough buffs by Frigg, her combos have tons of hitstun that just lock your dodge out, and she does way more damage. Hyenatron just does really telegraphed easy to dodge attacks and dies.
C0 Crow, C2 Cocoritter, C1 King
Obviously choose only attack buffs, also be aware that you only get the base stats initially, you do not get the listed ability until you get stacks of 4 and 8 of the same buff.
Scuffed video, forgot to change resolution, and funny chat in background playing another game.
Apologies I forgot to change output resolution oops.

I hate this matchup and needed ideas, so I tuned into Zeus's stream to see if he had any.
The answer?
Not really. You can't do any sort of dragon cancel pressure at all as Crusader 5A will stuff both the dragon and any attack/movement option you do afterwards besides block. Zeus's favorite neutral summon MS~A into Giant Swing fails to wall. You can't whiff punish 5AA/2A mash reliably when he is pressuring you. Raw giant swing startup is ass and loses to wall but you have to try fishing for it anyway. You can't really whiff punish hammer. Fireball vs 5A will often not launch if it hits, fly cancel is easily 5Aed or DPed. Cross-up jB beats DP.
What you have is insane comeback damage potential and decent mix off 214MS safejump. Always dash block because you cannot outrun wall. You can DP between the hits of his 5MS. Show jB so they know it's a safe jump then you can run other options. jA jB double overhead. jA tickthrow (jB is too plus). Empty jump low. Empty jump throw. MS~S throw setup. Empty jump jD~A. Etc. Make sure you know your conversion strings/mix off 214MS raw fish or cancelling into MS~S from a blockstring or jD~A conversion jA. Keep your staggers mainly to lights. Might be wise to leave him outside awakening. Know the awakening 4S loop and DON'T DROP YOUR COMBOS to ensure he dies. Be patient. It's a hard matchup to be sure but not impossible.

Thankfully it seems team First is fine and is able to play their 3rd place match. And what a match, showcasing two of the rarest PVP characters at high level, Scouter vs Arcana. As for the finals...what can I say. I called it back then when I saw how that team handled its bracket and the results speak for themselves. This is a rematch from bracket B of top 8 btw where team Swing (after Artillerist swing) was dealt their only loss. Absolute showcase on how to play Artillerist at top level, but not only that, all support players should pay attention to how their supports handle themselves when being dove on, OpenGL's bard in particular.
For the people (and there were a lot during the live) bitching about how OP this team is, the amount of artillerists in top 16 was 1. The amount of double support teams in top 16 was 1. AND they lost to this team before in the group of 8. It is definitely an obnoxious composition that shields its MVP 1000 times, but it was obvious today that they were just better. Also they were the only team to pull out completely different compositions multiple times in group stages. If you can't beat their Artillerist double support, can you beat their Deathblade comp? Their scouter comp? The answer for most teams in this tourney is no.

So unfortunately the match I was looking forward to the most, team First (Shadowhunter/Deathblade, Gunlancer, Gunslinger/Scouter) vs the artillerist double support boys of block B ended in a forfeit, as someone on First caught Covid or was in contact with someone who caught Covid. While it does mean the B block boys get a free trip to the finals, we only get one set of matches, which is quite disappointing. Let's wish First a speedy recovery.

The boys from B scare the lone Berserker left in the tournament off his main class, then totally switch teams second around to complete the mindfuck. However, you can see they don't switch at all vs the Shadowhunter team, possibly the first time they didn't switch up regardless of winning or losing. In the end, the Berserker gets his runback, and stays on his main this time. Very entertaining matches overall.

3:04:10 Bard Glaivier Summoner vs Paladin Soulfist Wardancer
3:12:42 Bard Glaivier Summoner vs Paladin Soulfist Wardancer
Some meta analysis, because this tournament was open entry, they have a list of win rates vs pick rates:
1 Soulfist 2% 80%
2 Wardancer 6% 67%
3 Gunlancer 6% 65%
4 Deadeye 2% 65%
5 Arcana 3% 64%
6 Paladin 7% 62%
7 Summoner 7% 55%
8 Bard 7% 54%
9 Gunslinger 4% 52%
10 Shadowhunter 4% 52%
11 Deathblade 8% 49%
12 Scrapper 5% 46%
13 Striker 4% 45%
14 Berserker 4% 42%
15 Artillerist 5% 42%
16 Reaper 5% 41%
17 Sharpshooter 1% 40%
18 Glaivier 6% 38%
19 Destroyer 6% 36%
20 Scouter 4% 32%
21 Sorceress 4% 30%
As you can see, Deathblade was the most popular class, followed by the supports and summoner. Soulfist's absurd winrate vs pickrate shows that it is mainly played by character specialists, as are Deadeye and Arcana. Sharpshooter is arguably the worst class, as it has an insanely low pick rate combined with a low win rate, meaning even the specialists cannot win against the field with that class.
In the top 16, the stats look like this:
1. Paladin: 15.3% 56.8%
2. Wardancer: 13.9% 45%
3. Bard: 9.7% 32.1%
4. Gunlancer: 9.0% 61.5%
5. Soulfist: 8.3% 45.8%
6. Summoner: 7.6% 50%
7. Gunslinger: 5.9% 47.1%
8. Striker: 4.2% 41.7%
9. Glaivier: 3.1% 55.6%
10. Deathblade: 3.8% 45%
11. Scrapper: 3.8% 45%
12. Destroyer: 3.5% 40%
13. Arcana: 3.1% 22%
14. Shadowhunter: 2.8% 87.5%
15. Berserker: 2.8% 62.5%
16. Deadeye: 1.4% 0%
17. Artillerist: 1% 100%
18. Scouter: .3% 100%
19. Sorceress: .3% 100%
You'll notice I sort by pick rate instead of win rate. Since this is no longer the entire field but top 16, win rate arguably matters less than pick rate in terms of meta. The supports maintain their popular positions, however Wardancer rises to the top as the most picked DPS while Deathblade falls to mid. Summoner and Gunlancer maintain strong positions, and the Soulfist specialists are out in force. Sharpshooter and Reaper are no-shows, while Arcana and Deadeye, also super rare classes, experience a downturn of fortunes compared to Soulfist this tournament. It's safe to say Sorceress and Scouter are not viewed highly in top-level play, the single round picks with 100% win rate are by the gods of bracket B, who swept their bracket with 4 different comps and are responsible for the 100% win rates of Sorceress, Scouter, and Artillerist. Outside the one-offs, the Shadowhunter, Berserker and Glaiviers had a very good day.

A mercifully easy boss after all the garbage before it, he has some funny trololol tricks that utterly screw emulator players, as you will see, but he does almost no damage for a reason.
For real, probably one of my favorites of the newer tracks.

This took way too much digging around, hopefully global release makes it easier to find the music...cause at the moment all we have is mainly on Vanguard Sound's YouTube channel. Actual soundtrack rips are unnecessarily difficult to find because the official releases are all locked to Tencent's QQ platform.
Probably my favorite new song, even more than the actual final race song, though all the new scenario songs are really good.
Love the new win poses too.
Actual mode feels like I have way less control though.
