I have attempted to isolate two vocals heard after gunshots. One is a quiet "Whoop" and the other is a loud siren-like sound. In the end, I compare the siren to a similar one captured in Isabella Michigan in 2011. Interestingly, a YouTuber is using this very audio and claiming it as his own. What I was doing is trying to replicate what I normally do at the cabin when I hear howls at night. Then, I collected the audio and took it home to listen to. Many of the howls were very far away and needed amplification. However, others were lost behind loud planes flying overhead. Might this be a way to cover their vocals? I decided to try to find a way to listen to just the good stuff using Audacity. Frankly, my final product is not to my liking and I prefer unaltered audio. Investigating a Bigfoot Howl at a Michigan Cabin LordCryptid 2022-09-11 | My wife and I randomly captured a strange howl at our cabin because I was testing new audio recorders. We heard the howl and it was loud. Later I had the audio analyzed and it is more interesting than I had originally thought. I went back to do more research and this is the first trip back. Please note that I cut some time off of the audio and the video when walking in the dark. Occasionally, I amplified audio captured that night but did not manipulate it in any other way. Setting Up a Natures Head Composting Toilet Off Grid LordCryptid 2022-07-11 | We decided that a composting toilet was our best off-grid option to keep the whole family happy. it works with a regular outlet or, as in my case, with a 12-volt battery and a solar drip charge. I did not have to add a drain field I just have to remove the front receptacle when full of urine and find an appropriate place to dump it. I can use the compost on my trees. I did not like the chemicals used in my previous toilet and my family was not a huge fan of the compact design of the old unit. After setting it up it should run on its own. I have not used it long enough to provide any real details about how often the compost must be emptied. Maybe this will help the healing process like ripping off a Band-Aid. I am 50% done with the surgery process. The hamstring is now attached and can be slowly strengthened. The knee will not be worked on for about a month...busy time in the OR I guess. But I am off crutches and just using a full leg brace to keep my knee from bending the wrong way again. I do not recommend running a full sprint after 50 if you have not trained well enough. And for goodness sake, don't try it out for the first time in front of a lot of people. Bunny CPR LordCryptid 2021-03-31 | One of my athletes came to me after she called 911 about a bunny stuck in a net. The net had wrapped many times around the poor critter but it was still moving. I was able to spin it around to loosen the strings and used my keys to cut it loose. It stopped moving and I picked it up to move it near some bushes but it didn't look good. I sent the athlete to call the police to turn them around and then I started pushing on his little chest because I felt no pulse. When I first picked him up I could feel a very rapid pulse. I talked to him and pet him and gave move light chest compressions (not filmed because I was busy). Eventually, he slowly hopped away so it was a good day.
