Trains at Norwich, GEML Its All About The Journey 2025-08-18 | Norwich is the northern terminus of the Great Eastern Main Line (GEML) from London Liverpool Street and the focal point of the Wherry Lines. It sees services by Greater Anglia to a variety of destinations around East Anglia and the East of England, as well as East Midlands Railway, for which it is the origin point of their mammoth Norwich-Nottingham-Liverpool service.This was my second visit to Norwich, and was pleased to report that the Class 745s and 755s have settled in well to their duties after almost 5 years in service. The variety here at Norwich is definitely not what it once was in the pre-COVID days, but it's always welcome to see the odd EMR service turn up every now and then.Enjoy the video :)

The lines J40 (Uppsala C-Södertälje C), J41 (Märsta-Södertälje C), J42 (Märsta-Nynäshamn) and L30 (Sickla-Solna station) stop here, as well as ten bus lines. The commuter train station opened in 1895, but was moved a 100 meters in 1903 and moved again in 1911, when the tunnel through the hill Hagalundsberget to the south was completed. In 1955 the name of the station was changed from "Hagalund" to "Solna". The northern entrance is located at a bridge connecting the Arenastaden and Frösunda areas of the Järva district. Arenastaden is home to the Strawberry Arena and the Westfield Mall of Scandinavia. The southern entrance is located between the districts Hagalund and Råsunda. In 2014 the Tvärbanan line was extended to the south entrance, with a stop called Solna station. A metro station, named "Arenastaden", on a new extension from Odenplan, is planned to have its southern entrance next to the Tvärbanan station, on the other side from the railway station entrance, while the northern exit will be just south of the Arenastaden area. Afternoon Trains at Oxford, 15/07/2024 (1080p HD) Its All About The Journey 2025-01-18 | Oxford is a major interchange station, and the principal town serving the city of Oxford. It sees services from Great Western Railway, Chiltern Railways and CrossCountry, using a combination of Class 165/166s, 168s, 220/221s and 800/802 sets.Oxford is a relatively small station with just four platforms, but punches well above its weight in terms of its passenger numbers. The compactness and long, straight tracks through the station make it brilliant for photography when it's not too busy. It also sees a decent quantity of freight, lying on a main freight corridor from the North West to the major port of Southampton.This was my first visit to Oxford - it's a shame that the HSTs with GWR are long gone, but it's nevertheless a very pleasant station to spend an hour or two at, with a decent variety and frequency of services to keep you entertained.Enjoy the video :)
Trains at Reading, 15/07/2024 (1080p HD) Its All About The Journey 2024-12-23 | Reading is a major interchange station located at the confluence of the branches of the Great Western Main Line. With its 14 platforms, it sees a huge variety of services operated by Great Western Railway using their Class 165s/166s, 387s and 800/802 sets, CrossCountry using Class 220/221 Voyager sets, South Western Railway, and plenty of freight.This was my second visit to Reading, and a lot has changed in the past few years, with the continued electrification of the GWML out west bringing 387s to Newbury. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here - with Reading lying close to many of the West Country quarries there's plenty of freight traffic too. The presence of structures across all platforms can make photography a bit difficult, but it's still an exciting experience to film here.Enjoy the video!

Trains at Stockholm Östra | Tåg på Stockholms Östra, 2024 Its All About The Journey 2024-09-22 | Welcome to another video from Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden. In today's video we take a look at the Roslagsbanan light rail network emanating north from the small terminus station of Stockholm Östra (Stockholm East).Also included at the beginning is a Tunnelbanan Red line service arriving at Tekniska högskolan metro station underneath the light rail station.Trains featuring in this video are a mixture of the old ABB X10p stock dating from the late 1980s, and their new replacement X15p sets built by Stadler, which entered service on the line at the end of 2023.I didn't stay at this station for too long as torrential rain soon followed but I still thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would recommend a visit to this characterful line if you're visiting Stockholm - the X10p sets won't be around for long.Enjoy the video :)
Trains at Stockholm Central, Sweden, 13/07/2024 Its All About The Journey 2024-09-12 | Stockholm Central is the main station serving the capital (and largest city) of Sweden. It sees a multitude of operators including, but not limited to, SJ with their high-speed Snabbtåg services all across Sweden, MTRX with their colourful red sets running to Gothenburg, and Mälartåg operating regional services around the Stockholm area. Also included in this video is the special nightly Vy Nattåg sleeper train to Narvik in the far north of Norway.Although I have visited Sweden many times before, this was my first visit where I had the opportunity to do any filming (and my first visit to Stockholm itself). I hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed filming it!

Trains at London Euston, WCML 29/05/2024 (incl. GWR Class 802, Class 805 Evero) Its All About The Journey 2024-08-20 | London Euston is one of the busiest railway termini in London in terms of both passengers and rail movements. It is operated by Network Rail and sees services by Avanti West Coast, London North Western Railway and London Overground, using a mixture of Class 221, Class 390, Class 805, Class 350, Class 730 and Class 710 units.I visited this station in the final week of testing of Avanti West Coast's brand new Class 805 "Evero" units before they entered service, with a total of 3 such units seen in this video. Also included is a surprise appearance from Great Western Railway, which of course don't usually run into London Euston, but sent a Class 802 to London Euston for driver training runs in preparation for diversionary routes when the GWML into Paddington is closed due to HS2 works. A routine fire alarm test was conducted at Euston during my visit, which led to some interesting announcements being played throughout my visit.I'd never thought about filming here before, considering it to be difficult and problematic to film at, with long trains restricting views and Network Rail's often strict policies on filming. However, I was very pleasantly surprised with my experience at Euston. 36 Minutes of Trains at Manchester Piccadilly, 21/02/2024 (1080p HD) Its All About The Journey 2024-07-16 | Manchester Piccadilly is the largest station in Manchester and one of the busiest stations in the UK outside of London. With its 14 platforms, it sees a huge variety of services to all corners of the United Kingdom. Services are seen by Northern, Transpennine Express, CrossCountry, Avanti West Coast, East Midlands Railway and Transport for Wales.On what is my second visit to the station, I stayed here for a little over an hour, and managed to capture a colourful variety of services, standing on Platforms 11 and 12 which allowed for sweeping views over the southern approach to the station whilst getting good views of the through platforms 13 and 14. Manchester Metrolink Trams at Deansgate-Castlefield, 21/02/2024 (1080p HD) Its All About The Journey 2024-07-04 | Deansgate-Castlefield is a major interchange station on the Manchester Metrolink tram network. It has a total of eight lines serving it with the recent addition of the extension of Trafford Centre services to the station. It has four platforms, and there is a huge amount of action to observe here with trams coming in every few seconds. It may very well be the busiest tram stop (in terms of number of trams serving it) in the entire country.This station is directly connected by a walkway to Deansgate station on the Castlefield corridor, which allows for a fairly simple connection to National Rail services around the North West. South Western Railway Class 458/4 ride in service - Vauxhall to Clapham Junction Its All About The Journey 2024-06-26 | On the 25th June 2024, South Western Railway entered its refurbished Class 458/4s into passenger service on London Waterloo-Weybridge services via Staines. Join me in this video where we take a look at SWR's refurbished units onboard Class 458415 and 458421 on their very first passenger service post-refurbishment, on a short run from Vauxhall to Clapham Junction.Corrections00:54 The unit we are riding on is 458421, not 458422. Trains at South Kenton, 20/01/2024 (1080p HD) Its All About The Journey 2024-06-22 | South Kenton is perhaps one of the most famous stations on the southern section of the West Coast Main Line among trainspotters. As well as being an intermediate station on the Watford DC lines and London Underground Bakerloo line halfway between Harrow & Wealdstone and Wembley Central, it sees a huge amount of passing services on the West Coast Main Line heading towards Milton Keynes, the Midlands and beyond. Services are seen by Avanti West Coast using Class 390 sets, London Northwestern Railway using Class 350s, London Overground with their Class 710s and the Bakerloo line with the 1972 Stock.Being one of only a few stations on the WCML between Euston and Watford Junction with unrestricted views to the fast lines (the others being Carpenders Park and Bushey), the views here are excellent. Despite visiting on a Saturday, there was still plenty of variety to keep one occupied.Enjoy the video :)

Trains at Leicester, 23/09/2023 (1080p HD) Its All About The Journey 2024-05-15 | Leicester is a key interchange station located at the heart of the Midland Main Line, with services seen predominantly by East Midlands Railway and CrossCountry using Class 222s and 170s. I visited Leicester station on the weekend, but there was still a healthy number of trains passing through the station.It was a bit disappointing to see that the variety at Leicester has decreased over the past few years, with the loss of HSTs on the trunk Midland Main Line corridor, and local East Midlands Railway services have started to be replaced by newer Class 170s from West Midlands Railway. Despite this, there's still plenty of trains heading in and out of the busy loco works just to the north of the station here.Enjoy the video :)
