April - Ride MTBThis video was just an idea that's been rolling around in our heads since early 2021. We finally got the chance to get out and travel and wanted to see if we could pull it off! 3000 miles coast to coast in one video. This is meant to be a bit of a time capsule as well. It was recorded between April 16th and April 24th on our way across the country. We were very lucky with weather and traffic the whole way through and we definitely were glad we went when it was still green for much of the country :). Hope you enjoy the journey!

Thank you to everyone who has supported and stood behind both April and I over the past few years. We love each other so much but came to the realization a little over a year ago that we wanted to pursue different paths in life when it comes to family. We worked very hard to try to come together and find a compromise but we found ourselves in a situation where neither person was in the wrong but we truly wanted different things. We have lovingly decided to separate and pursue different paths.
At the same time we have been working through this, I’ve still been having a hard time riding bikes consistently without constant chest pain and tightness. As long as I keep my heart below 140 I seem to avoid issues but any anaerobic exercise or extreme stress seems to trigger an inflammatory response with my heart. I’ve feel like I’ve been hitting my head against the wall trying to be a professional mountain biker without really being able to ride consistently. We decided together that this would be a good opportunity for me to step away from the bike world for now and hand the YouTube channel over to April.
I can’t wait to see what she’s able to do moving forward in the bike space, and although I’m very sad to be stepping away , I’m excited to share some big projects on the horizon with you in the coming weeks.
I apologize to anyone that we haven’t contacted personally yet, there’s been a lot going on the past few months and we haven’t had the opportunity to touch base with everyone like we would’ve liked to. Thank you to everyone who has been a friend over the last few years, I know it wasn’t always easy to stand our side and we love each and every one of you who did.
Change is often intimidating but it can be an opportunity for growth and I’m very hopeful we will both thrive through this new chapter. April is working on a video to lay out her plans for the channel and I will be doing an announcement soon of all the stuff I’ve been working on behind the scenes. ❤️How To Bunnyhop - Scoop Or No Scoop?April - Ride MTB2024-01-12 | Over the last few years i have seen many heated debates on how to teach people how to Bunnyhop. In this video i bust out the Garage Bunny from Ninja MTB and try to explain my thoughts on the do's & dont's of the Bunnyhop.

If you have never ridden a Velosolutions pump track, I highly suggest making a trip if you are ever near one, they are built so well. I am also a big fan of dirt jumps and these ones are built so well, especially since they are step ups. I also talk to Joey for a bit in this video who will be in charge of maintaining the park, so if you ever stop by you might see him!

It included bike demos, skills classes, maintenance tips, making tee shirts, yoga and more! We got absolutely spoiled with the weather and some rain over night to make the most hero dirt for some tech on day two. We rode both days until our hands couldn’t hold on anymore and had the most fun riding with a bunch of girls. We could not stop smiling the whole time and Stephanie liked the Fezzari bikes so much she bought two at the end of the trip!

However In recent years it feels like they have become more complex, and buggy than ever. Last year DJI brought something really cool to the table with the DJI Osmo Action 3. It seemed to solve many of the issues we have had with action cams overheating or freezing on us, and it offered a few really cool hardware improvements like the mounting interface and battery technology. The only issue we had was that the image quality was still not quite up to par with the GoPro 11. When DJI announced this Osmo Action 4 we were really excited, it claimed to have a bigger sensor, more dynamic range and an overall improved image quality. In this video we will let you see the difference and share our thoughts on whether the Action 4 is the best action cam on the market right now.

A high quality reliable action cam setup is one of the most often used pieces of gear you will bring with you. For years GoPro has dominated the space even though there have been many complaints of freezing, over heating, or losing footage all together. Lately we have been hearing a lot of good things coming out about the DJI Osmo Action 3 and we were lucky enough to get our hands on one to test for a little bit. In this video we just wanted to take a look at some different cameras head to head on the same trail with similar lighting conditions and setups. We are really curious to hear your thoughts on what looked best!

#djiosmoaction3 #gopro #dji #iphone14promax3 Tips To Improve Your Pedaling : Climb Smarter Not HarderApril - Ride MTB2023-05-20 | Last week we posted a video about climbing up technical ledges. During the filming process I helped April with some coaching on Pedal stroke, Cadence, and Seat Height which seemed to really help her climbing but it ended up being just a little too long to add to the video. We decided to take a little extra time with those lessons and roll that section up into its own video to share with you. We really hope this can help you pedal smarter and improve your ride!

I had heard of mountain biking before then but that game is really what showed me how cool the sport could be and helped me fall in love with the bikes, trails, and riders like Josh Bender who were pushing the limits of what was possible. The bike i always dreamed of riding was the Karpiel Armageddon, a 12 inch travel beast that could handle anything you threw at it. In this video that dream came true and lots of sketchiness was had haha.

This line has been a big goal for me since the park opened at the end of 2019. The wood lips are what scared me the most on this line, but I able able to knock them off on my own. Then I surprisingly got stuck at the last wall ride. Which is what we focus on in this video. I am so thankful for Kyle helping me through it, because it ended up being the most difficult feature for me on this line! It is fun to see how Kyle coaches me through this and the process of me overcoming the fears to finally get through the line!
