The WAD explores what Doom would be like if some of the original levels appeared in different episodes; each level therefore combines the structure and features from two original levels.
This is E1M8, which is reminiscent of Doom's E1M8 and E2M8. How could E2M8 work as a boss battle against Barons of Hell? Answer: lots, and lots of them.
If this looks interesting, check out the thread on Doomworld and help out testing!
The WAD is designed for 2-3 players, and areas of the level open up depending on who's playing. In this video I'm playing a local 2-player multiplayer game just to show how the WAD is played: the other player (Indigo) is sitting idle and never seen.

Doom 2 The Way Id Did (D2TWID) brilliantly explores this concept.
Recorded with Chocolate Doom.

Also known as immy-dm or comp-dm. The mod implements computer-controlled "bots" in Vanilla Doom. You can read the original discussion thread here:
Curious as to how it worked, I reverse engineered it and discovered it was merely a Dehacked patch, and the "players" are just modified monsters. Nevertheless, it's a fun mod and the opponents are quite difficult considering how crude they are. I fixed up a few bugs I found in it and released a cleaned up version without copyright-infringing levels as "Computer Deathmatch v2.0"
This video shows me playing against the bots. I'm not very good.
My patched-up version of the mod can be downloaded here:
