Jake, Roger, and I wrote several songs together over the course of the next year, including this song, "State You Left Me In." We knew it was special from the day we finished it, and both Jake and I started including it in nearly every live show we played from that point on. Jake recently signed a record deal with Big Loud, and released his debut self-titled album with them back in April of this year. "State You Left Me In" was released on March 17 as the first single from the project, and is also the opening track on the full album.
