Hideki (Accord Wagon) and Oskar (RL) were visiting Orlando and wanted to set something up! This was the first shoot with my new Canon R5C, loving the colors out of this camera, and what perfect cars to showcase them. The modifications on these two Honda's are extremely extensive. Tribute to an AE86 Legend HALCYON 2024-01-12 | Chester and I had originally shot the feature "OPTIONS" back in November of 2020. One year later, the feature was uploaded. Unfortunately in January of 2022, Chester had passed away before I completed the behind the scenes. Chester's passing hit the car community in the Northeast hard. Chester was appreciated by all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him. I've had some short footage of each of these shoots and alone, none of them could make up their own edit. So I thought I'd combine them together in a night in the city vibe. I know the 7's Day footage is lacking compared to my previous videos, I didn't want to spend my whole time shooting, so I kept it pretty laid back that year (2021).For the Civic Type R shoot, that was my first experience shooting on the Vazen Anamorphic lenses, and for the life of me could not get the thing sharp on location. The SiGNAL Auto R33 GTR | HALCYON (4K) HALCYON 2022-12-03 | Anyone that's familiar with SiGNAL Auto knows that being able to shoot this R33 up close and personal is a big deal. This 1995 SiGNAL Auto demo car is currently in the hands of Β @rmcmiami7394. This vehicle is the pinnacle of Japanese Tuning Culture. Just being around it, you can feel the vehicles history. Sporting a GT RRR block, HKS 2.8L, and twin Trust GT3RS turbos. From that, to the chameleon paint with custom air brushing, the original vinyl graphics, neo-chrome lipped gram lights, it's simply perfection.I had the opportunity to shoot this R33 while down in Miami with Tuner Evo, shooting some promo content for the upcoming Miami show. We met up with Eddie from RMC and he asked if we wanted to take the R33 out.. I felt absolutely honored that he was willing to bring it out for a quick shoot. One Night in Honolulu: Ashers S13 | HALCYON HALCYON 2022-10-07 | Personally I love these "One Night in" videos. They have always been unplanned and unscripted. This was shot in 4 hours, all I had on me was the A7SIII with a kit lens, and a pro mist filter. Thankfully Martin (@redherringphotography) had a Ronin-M I could borrow! However it died after the parking garage scene. All of the rollers were shot handheld. No location scouting, no planning! Big thanks again to @redherringphotography for assisting!This video came about during a recent trip to Hawaii with my wife. I didn't have any intentions on shooting something, however she suggested getting out there one night and doing so. SPIRIT η² 180SX MIYABI | HALCYON (4K) HALCYON 2022-09-30 | I first came across Tess' Spirit Rei 180SX at Tuner Evolution: Orlando this past May. I was completely blown away by how well executed the build was itching to shoot it. With Tess living a few hours away in Georgia, we arranged to get together at SWERV: Daytona in July for a night shoot. Shooting an all black vehicle at night was a bit difficult, but I wanted to play into it and go with a dark, blue grade. We kept our locations to bright light sources as much as possible. Watching the lights reflect off the body is my favorite part about the rolling footage. The track is produced by myself, it's something I've had sitting privately on SoundCloud for almost a year. After the shoot wrapped, I knew it was the perfect vibe for the video, so I got back to work on it and arranged the track to fit the content.
