Emil Dean - This Is Our Anniversary (UK 1968) Sixties Collector 2018-09-30 | Emil Dean (1942) was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. He had two hit singles there, 'How The Mighty Have Fallen' (1965) and 'Key To Your Heart' (1965).In 1967 he moved to London. This is his UK 45 on which he covered two Alex Spyropoulos & Patrick Campbell-Lyons (Nirvana) compositions; one of those, "Lonely Boy" was included on Nirvana's first LP. But this one wasn't released by the UK duo. It has an extraordinary arrangement by Syd Dale, no less and it was produced by Muff Winwood.Later Emil became known as Emil Zoghby and had a career as a South African music producer.

Peggy March - Ive Been Here Before (1968) Sixties Collector 2017-10-04 | A top notch song that Billy Vera and Ted Daryll wrote for Peggy March. The 45 was released in September 1968. All of her mid to- late 60s tracks remain criminally ignored. Soon after this release she moved to Germany, where she had a huge success during the late 60s and all through the 70s.

A very haunting ballad that -to my knowledge at least- was not included on CD reissues to date.
