On May 8, 1946 Galveston Splash Day was back for the first time since the beginning of WWII. Crowds packed the beach as beautiful women re-enacted scenes from the war on the beach while Tarzan modeled on the beach. In the midst of the celebration the pier collapsed injuring dozens of people.

The car was made out of steel, wire and plaster and was able to withstand brutal beatings and punishment. In 1963, Bessans, which is a small town located high within the French Alps hosted a population of no more than 380 people. Of the 380 people, 38 of them combined for a total age of 3,200 years old. The above video illustrates Marianne Boniface celebrating her 100th birthday alongside her 102 year old husband. Historical records indicate the date of this clip to December 16, 1963.

Children ranging in age from 5 through 11 and weighing 30 to 100 pounds were allowed to enter the ring and fight during these tournaments.
The above video depicts the 45th annual Junior Boxing Program Championships. These fights were held in MacDonough Hall on March, 22 1964 and hosted about 140 kids. This youth boxing club was meant to teach the children sportsmanship and how to have a strong body and mind under pressure. The 1964 Championships were the first ones held without Spike Webb, who passed away the previous year.
