FS2004ACoFNow, people, don't start hammering me for making a video about crashing aircraft into buildings in a computer game.
This video is a remake of an old video I did back in mid-2009 which people slammed for the bad graphics. Understand, I had an old low-end 2008 laptop which ran FS2004 at mid-high graphics at 25FPS at cities like Seattle, or 12-17FPS at New York.
The "badass" song is "Death in Vain" by Exhorder, and the "stupid" one is "Chararrón Macarrón" by El Chombo.
Flight Simulator 2004: Crashing With Mod (Remake)FS2004ACoF2013-01-05 | Now, people, don't start hammering me for making a video about crashing aircraft into buildings in a computer game.

Despite of that, I attempted a comeback in late 2012 and it lasted through 2013. I will continue to use my other account, GayBitchandFaggot, normally. Thanks for all the support, everyone.
The two songs in this video are The Arcane Order's "Unleash the Tyrant" and The Beatles' "Yesterday".Bullshit From YouTubeFS2004ACoF2014-01-10 | According to YouTube, there is a song called "Airforce One" in my Sierra Pro Pilot 99 video around the 1:08 mark. There's no song added to the entire video at all. That video was not edited at all nor was processed with Movie Maker or any other video editing software. It is raw footage uploaded directly to YouTube, with no music playing in the background during recording.Sierra Pro Pilot 99FS2004ACoF2014-01-10 | I never was familiar with Pro Pilot at all until in mid-2013 when I bought it on Amazon. I barely used it until now, because it is indeed different from Flight Simulator, based more on later subLOGIC FSs (A.T.P. and Flight for example). Well, it makes sense since Sierra bought subLOGIC in the late '90s (and Microsoft bought BAo by that juncture). Then another reason why I barely used it until now is that it crashed when I used it with nGlide. It no longer crashes, but its graphics are rather glitchy, which is seen at the end of this video. Its graphics are in-between FS98 and FS2000 with worse scenery textures and buildings than both.
I am running this sim in Windows 8.1. There's a screen problem going on since caused by switching from full screen to windowed mode. The screen goes black until you switch to another program. Some menus have flipped images (even the ? button in the top-right corner next to the X button), and usually those images are messed up. No compatibility mode applied.Flight Simulator 98 Glitch: The UnderworldFS2004ACoF2013-12-23 | There is sound in this video, but unfortunately, it is very quiet for some unknown reason.
Among the things that I still remember as a kid back in the early 2000s with FS98 was when used to land aircraft with their landing gear up, with the crash settings turned off. The heavier aircraft (Learjet, Boeing) will sink into a hall of mirrors underground while the lighter aircraft (Cessna RG) need to hit the ground at a certain speed to be able to do that, otherwise they will stay afloat and bounce around. A fixed-gear plane can also go underground, but it won't last long in there and will go back up to the surface of the Earth quickly. If on a jet, the engines will shutdown, I think only if other realism settings are set on the highest. This video was recorded in my Windows XP PC.
Tested with FS5.0a, FS5.1, and FSfW95: -In FS5.0a, the Cessna will sink a little and will usually catapult at either full speed flying forward or gain altitude rapidly, but only if it's landed upside down on its wings. If it's not catapulted, then it will just teleport back on the ground. Not possible with any other plane. -In FS5.1, the Cessna will sink a little, but it will not be catapulted. -While the same as in FS5.1, it also can be done with the Boeing in FSfW95. It will sink a little but won't last long inside, it will just get out and bounce endlessly.Flight Simulator Comparison, Downtown Chicago and Meigs FieldFS2004ACoF2013-12-16 | Years ago, I used to upload FS comparison videos, but they were flawed. I didn't have a few key FS versions for a long time so they weren't included in most of those videos (for example: FS2002 was absent until early-2011), and I didn't have the graphics maxed out in later-era FSs (post-FS98/CFS) because of the low-end laptop I ran them on used for years, besides that I also modded each FS version to the point in which they looked like another computer program. I removed all of those videos about a year or two ago because of those reasons. Now, I've been giving a thought about reviving the series since I have a more powerful PC to handle each FSs' graphics rather well (less so for FSX). The problem with this is that making these types of videos is rather frustrating and time-consuming, which keeps me from making more. Getting to run and record all of the DOS and Windows-based FS versions is easy, but the other versions such as FS II for C64 are irritating because of the emulators they need, lock-ups within the emulation, and different keyboard function layout they have.
Here are some notes/trivia about this video:
-The editing was rushed. I don't like to waste too much time editing a video. It's not been my thing ever since 2011. -I cut out ten minutes of length from the original. I don't like to spend too much time uploading a video. This video took me over an hour to upload, and what if there was a problem with it at 99% before processing? I would have to waste another hour reuploading it... -For the Atari, C64, and Apple II FS versions, I did not figure out how to change the view direction inside the plane. I used to know how to, but I haven't touched these versions for a long while until a couple of days ago. -FS II for the Atari locked-up before the Sears tower came into view. -I forgot to change the view to the spot plane on A.T.P. so you could have seen the plane. -FS98 was recorded on another computer running Windows XP. That computer is weak, and you may see lag in the FS98 clip. -The FS98 clip does have sound, but it is very quiet. If you want to hear it, turn the volume all the way to the max, but turn it down as soon as you see the FS2000 splash screen. -The FSX and Google Earth clips are laggy because I don't have the strongest PC in the world... -My FSX runs on medium-high/high settings because of the reason stated in the above note. -All FSs are set on late spring, light cirrus clouds at 15,000, and 20 miles of visibility. FS versions prior to FS5.1 have no visibility system, and FS versions II/2.xx and 1.00 for the Mac have no clouds set because their cloud layer options have no thickness settings, meaning there are always overcast clouds, rendering a white/gray sky. FS3.0 has no clouds because their short draw distance, while FS4.0 has two systems of clouds: the one from FS3.0, and another one that generates automatic clouds, which is the one you see in the video. -All FS versions starting with FS98 have anti-aliasing settings applied to them. The settings are 8x super sampling, no CSAA/EQAA, no MLAA, and no edge-detect. No anisotropic filtering by the way. -FS5.1's runway texture looks worse than FS5.0's because in order to get haze, I have to sacrifice the image smoother. No worries, since the image smoother only covers Meigs as far as I know. -The Google Earth clip originally featured a song from Machine Head ("This is the End") because I recorded the clip while playing the album "Unto the Locust" in iTunes, but I muted it to avoid those nagging copyright complaints and to not scare people with the thrashing insanity of the song. -I recorded FSX with a non-4:3 aspect ratio by mistake, while FS II for C64, Atari, Atari ST, and Apple II can't have their aspect ratios set to 4:3 without messing up the pixels. -In the FS2004 clip, I did not use the R182 because FS2004 does not include it, so I used the 182S instead. In the FSX clip, I used the 172SP because the 182S is not included. -FSX does not include Meigs because it was closed and turned into a park, so I took off in the same place the runway used to be at.Rest in Peace, Flight Simulator 98FS2004ACoF2013-12-14 | I've seen a video of a French man who completed an adventure flight while running it on Windows 8 (note when he changes volume at the beginning of his video, that's how I know he's running it on Windows 8): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSQqNekQTkY
The song at the end is "Angry Neurotic Catholics" by Carnivore, which fitted very nicely in this video.Flight Simulator 2000: Test on Windows 8.1FS2004ACoF2013-11-24 | It is interesting, to me, that FS2000 did not work for me at all on Windows 8.0, it crashed on the splash screen as soon as I started it. Somehow, this 8.1 update now allows FS2000 to run without much trouble. An issue it has is that part of the scenery will disappear and create a hall of mirrors effect if I pick adaptive multisampling anti-aliasing in my AMD video card settings, which does not bother me at all since I always use supersample anti-aliasing instead, though. This issue, I believe, has nothing to do with Windows 8.1. Another issue has to do with Bandicam, it will not record the panel unless I record using rectangle on the screen instead of DirectX/OpenGL hooking. This also, I believe, has nothing to do with Windows 8.1, as I had this exact same issue on Windows Vista. Otherwise, FS2000 seems to be quite stable, perhaps more so than on Windows Vista.
I am still upset that FS98 refuses to work on Windows 8.x.Combat Flight Simulator: Test on Windows 8.1FS2004ACoF2013-11-24 | Combat Flight Simulator is fragile on Windows 8.x. I'm glad 8x SSAA can be forced on older games like this. I also tried FS98 on Windows 8.1. Unfortunately, FS98 crashes on the splash screen upon starting.Crimson Skies Official TrailerFS2004ACoF2013-11-15 | A trailer found in the files of Flight Simulator 2000 Pro Edition's third CD.Flight Simulator for Windows 95: Test on Windows 8.1FS2004ACoF2013-11-12 | I must be breaking the law when it comes to a game designed for Windows 95 (hence its name) by playing it on Windows 8. I only played it for a bit just to test if it crashes or if it has any other issues. One of the issues that I encountered when playing it is that while the black screen problem that it had on Windows 7 is gone, it crashes in situations that would have triggered that glitch. Those situations involve changing the views. The other issue is that it crashes if I wander around in the menus too much. These issues are lame considering that FSfW95 was the most stable FS in Vista.
My lack of new videos these days is attributed to my laziness, college, and other distractions that get in my way. I wish things went back to how they were in my good ol' days in my senior year (2011-2012) because I had more free time, but time goes on, and now I will be eternally damned to work for several decades until I retire, and by then, my energies will be gone.Flight Simulator 2002: Landing Lights GlitchFS2004ACoF2013-07-21 | A glitch I found after loading the flight "Stormy Approach to Oakland". I switched to the Bell 206B (later to my signature plane) and flew around Metro. Oakland. I decided to land in front of two AI MD-83, while noticing their landing lights were in a weird position. Then I realized that if I change the position of my landing lights, the AI aircraft's will be also affected.
Enjoy the light show.Flight Simulator 2002: Panel Lights GlitchFS2004ACoF2013-06-30 | This is more of a glitch introduced in FS2000. When I was a kid (6) in 2000, I was flying the Mooney Bravo on near the Innsbruck airport, and decided to mess around until I found this glitch.Flight Simulator 3.0/4.0b bug: Fake Scenery in the SkyFS2004ACoF2013-04-08 | FS4.0b is in use in this video. This bug consists in fake scenery (in this video, Chicago) up there in the sky that appears every approx. 218,000 ft. In FS3, after a certain altitude (approx. 215000 ft), an aircraft can fly normally as if it neared the real ground. This bug was probably introduced in FS3.0, as earlier FS have an altitude limit of 100,000 (not allowing me to test this) while FS3 and FS4 have seemingly infinite. This issue was fixed in FS5.0. Here is the page I got the info about this bug:

The latter one is my signature song.Flight Simulator 2002: Software Rendering vs. Hardware renderingFS2004ACoF2013-02-25 | Pretty much there is no screenshots or videos of FS2002 utilizing the software rendering mode. The software rendering mode has always been part of FS until CFS3/FS2004, while hardware rendering was first supported in FS98.
The song is "The Vice of Killing" by Sodom, live version from their "One Night in Bangkok" album. I should have not added it to this video, though.Flight Simulator 5.1: Grand Canyon (DOSBox and Bandicam test)FS2004ACoF2013-01-20 | Pretty much it seems that Bandicam and FRAPS recognize DOSBox as a 3D application, perhaps because of the DDraw output renderer. This is FS5.1 CD version running on DOSBox 0.73. It's been a pretty long time of not making any video of an FS older than FS98. That's why I came to YouTube originally for, as FSXC182RG (before getting suspended), to make videos of older FS.

Well, I finally realized what was the problem with this video not filling up the player screen: I set the aspect ratio to widescreen instead of standard by mistake. I will start uploading more videos in HD as my new PC is strong enough to handle the CPU cycles consumption Bandicam has while recording. Also no more FSfW95, FS98, CFS and FS2000 for now as I have to grab an old Windows copy (95, 98, 2000, Me) to get the damned Windows XP upgrade to install. Also deleted my YouTube playlists as nobody watched them and I always forgot to update them with the new videos I uploaded.
The songs are "Time Does Not Heal" by Dark Angel, and "The Ritual" by Testament. Awesome Thrash Metal bands \m/.Flight Simulator 2002: Running on Windows 8FS2004ACoF2012-12-13 | -More stable than FSX. -Gauges tend to glitch with anti-aliasing. -Exiting the view settings menu crashes FS2002. -Full screen mode is quite laggy and slow.
FSfW95 and FS98 don't run in Windows 8. CFS is quite unstable but plays well. FS2000 doesn't go past the splash screen. CFS2, CFS3 and FS2004 plays well. FSX is quite unstable if messing with it too much.
The song is "No One Answers" by Dark Angel.Flight Simulator X: New PC TestFS2004ACoF2012-12-01 | Runs FSX at in between medium high and high settings at above 20FPS with a zoomed out view in cities with heavy clouds. More videos coming soon including FSX ones.

Anyways, I'm in vacation in Costa Rica. I installed FS2004 in my dad's PC, and it runs very good. I finally got to play FS2004 with max graphics and high FPS for once. Modern games like FSX and Flight are too much for this PC, though. Soon, however, I will be doomed to return to my weak laptop and play FS with crap graphics and FPS again.

I wanted to try the first FS, the one that started it all, the franchise, etc. I remember getting this back in mid 2008 after checking out a Flight Simulator History site. I was so excited and I even jumped. I also remembered opening my first YouTube account, FSXC182RG, and uploading a video of this FS month later.
The music in this video is the Windows XP setup tune and "One Winged Angel" from Final Fantasy (although I never played it). This FS version has no sounds other than a little beep from the speaker when stalling.Flight Simulator 2002: Aurora Borealis over Tromsø (ENTC)FS2004ACoF2011-12-02 | ...Flight Simulator 2002: Landing at Kake (PAFE)FS2004ACoF2011-11-27 | From now on all my videos:
1) Won't have music because of the copyright shit. A very few will, though. I feel music added atmosphere to the videos, but also got some of my videos blocked in some countries.
2) Will be 4:3 since I like 4:3 for FS. 16:9 will make gauges look like ovals in the 2D panels. This applies specially to FS2000, since there are no VCs on it.
3) Each FS will have their default graphics since I want to get the "classic FS" feeling as I feel FS loses it when graphic add-ons like water or sky colors are installed for a "realistic FS" feeiling.Flight Simulator 2002: Landing at the East RiverFS2004ACoF2011-11-26 | The choppy FPS are due to FRAPS, as I had a solid 20FPS without it.
The song is "Amerikhastan" by Megadeth.Flight Simulator 98: Between New Yorks BuildingsFS2004ACoF2011-11-24 | I just loaded a default flight from FS98. I put the realism settings to max. I thought it was quite interesting to make a video about this since I haven't made one in a while. How weird is that the 2D panel wasn't recorded.
The songs are "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)" and "One" by Metallica.Flight Simulator 98: Canyon Aproach to Hoover DamFS2004ACoF2011-10-18 | I tried to make a new Flight Simulator history video, but my lack of patience and many damn things about the older FS bothered me enough to stop it.
Then I tried to make this video with FSfW95 but it was a pain in the ass to record. I kept getting bad quality video files, so I used FS98, since FRAPS easily records it with no problem.
The song is "Sultans of Swing" by Dire Straits.Flight Simulator 2000: Landing at Alexander (0V2)FS2004ACoF2011-09-25 | Just a random airport I found in Colorado, next to some beautiful mountains.
The song is "Sunday Bloody Sunday" by U2.Flight Simulator 2002: I Will Follow (the Mooney Bravo)FS2004ACoF2011-09-23 | I just decided to follow the Mooney. The ATC was crazy. I used the Cessna Centurion by EFSC that was made for FS2000 with the Carenado's Cessna Centurion's sounds aliased and my own propeller texture.
The song is "I Will Follow" by U2.Combat Flight Simulator: Dogfight at InterlakenFS2004ACoF2011-08-29 | A random dogfight. The bombers escaped since I was busy with the fighters. I noticed that in the 1280x1024 (5:4) resolution in my brother's TV, circles weren't perfectly round. I switched to 1280x960 (4:3) and they look good now. A big flaw in my flying was due to my lack of rudder pedals for my Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System.
The song is "Paschendale" by Iron Maiden. The song doesn't fit in here because it is about the Battle of Passchendaele from WWI and this is a WWII combat aircraft simulator.Flight Simulator 2000: Landing at Juneau (PAJN)FS2004ACoF2011-08-23 | I was landing at Juneau and so that's where I decided to record it and share it in YouTube. What happened is that I was going of the runway so I tried getting on it again, but that only made things worse. I tried braking, but the fucking Grob G109 braked so hard that the nose hit the grass, the plane jumped into the air, did a flip, and crashed upside down.Microsoft Flight Simulator 98 Official TrailerFS2004ACoF2011-08-15 | This is the trailer found in the FS98's and CFS's CD.Microsoft Flight Simulator for Windows 95 Official TrailerFS2004ACoF2011-08-15 | This is the trailer found in the FSfW95's CD.Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 Official TrailerFS2004ACoF2011-08-15 | This is the official trailer for FS2000. I already has this uploaded but had bad quality, so I reuploaded it again, with better quality.Flight Simulator for Windows 95: Takeoff at Tobías Bolaños (MRPV)FS2004ACoF2011-08-03 | This video is actually a test of a screen and game recorder I downloaded today, Bandicam. It is like FRAPS but can also record the screen freely and is not limited to recording just DirectX/OpenGL games. It has also a few more options. However, the real reason I got it is that it has a FPS limiter so I can make older games like FS2000 to run at 20FPS. I remember talking to Helgely56 if he knew of FPS limiter so I could use it with FS98, which runs like at 200FPS but my video card heats quickly and its fan sounds like a jet.
Anyways, this video recorder can also record FSfW95 (shown in this video) with sound. I tried other screen recorders but they had no sound (I have not Stereo Mix) and were very laggy. This test shows FSfW95 in windowed mode, 640x480 size.
The song is "San Valentontin" by Evolución.Flight Simulator 2000: Landing at Tromsø (ENTC)FS2004ACoF2011-08-01 | My temporal comeback to YouTube. I've been absent for months, but that's intentional due to the fact that I'm bored of it, and I'm done and bored with everything here, uploading videos and watching others. It's quite surprising that I actually gained subscribers and video views while I was gone.
I decided to play withh my brother's TV and I chose to have the 1280x1024x32 (5:4) resolution so I could have my gauges to be round and not to look like ovals in my laptop's screen.
The song is "Where the Streets Have No Name" by U2.Flight Simulator 2000: Landing at Meigs (KCGX)FS2004ACoF2011-05-20 | I made this video thinking I hadn't made one since a month ago, but turned out to be just two weeks ago.

I was randomly testing both until I saw the MD-83 flying so I started to escort it like if it was a bomber.
The song is a shortened version of "Dream of Mirrors" by Iron Maiden, from the album Brave New World.Monster Truck Madness Official TrailerFS2004ACoF2011-05-01 | A trailer video included in the FSfW95's CD along with the trial version of the game.Flight Simulator 98: the Incredible Dynamic SceneryFS2004ACoF2011-04-08 | This video shows me building up traffic and seeing how the planes all of the sudden freeze when I stop, and how a plane that was landing suddenly stopped to correct its pitch attitude (like using slew mode) to flare and land correctly.

The song is "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen.Flight Simulator 2002: Windy Landing at Innsbruck (LOWI)FS2004ACoF2011-04-06 | Now I've figured how to make videos in Windows Live Movie Maker. I'll miss Windows Movie Maker 3.
This is a landing using real world weather. Real world weather still works in FS2000, surprisingly. I used my improved version of the default R182 from FS2002. You can get the plane here: http://www.mediafire.com/?bjjdtqx9gi38786

This is a silly combat. Me and my squadron have to escort four King Airs 350 from some American/Japanese fighters/bombers mix. I have a Seafire Mk. XIVe and my squadron have some Seafires FR Mk. 47.

I think it's more fun to fly between them than flying over the ground. I remember one day as a 6 years old kid in 2000, after going home after kinder finished, flew my 182S high enough to fly in the clouds, and I tried to land on them since they were flat at the top. I just fell off.
The place where I recorded this is over Seattle, in a sunset.
