There is no draw by move repetition or turn limit. If kings are the only pieces left on the board, or the AI decides that it is losing, it will offer you a draw. If you accept it, the level will end and but will not gain any gold or reward. If it is a boss battle, then the level is replayed. Boss battles do not give rewards. If your king is captured, then you lose and must start the run over from the beginning. You can decrease the difficulty of the AI in the settings. After beating the game for the first time you can increase the difficulty by adjusting the starting settings.

You do not take damage at the end of the turn when you win the floor.Pawns cards are not allowed an initial double-step move, nor en passant. If you are on the top row when you have a pawn in your hand, or if you have 3 pawns in your hand at the same time, then the rightmost pawn in your hand will promote to a queen until played or the end of the floor.The yellow bag at the top of the screen indicates how much gold you have and everything to the right of it is the loot you will gain after winning the floor. The crystal heals 1 heart, and each yellow nugget is worth 1 gold. After each turn, 1 loot is lost. You also gain 1 gold for each monster you kill unless that monster was spawned from another monster. Gold in your bag is saved until you spend it.After each floor you get to visit the shop and upgrade your cards by moving your hero to the desired upgrade. Once you pick an enchantment, you can further upgrade it to make it stronger, but you cannot change it to another enchantment, it is permanently locked in. Each time you upgrade an item you consume the indicated amount of enchantment points.You earn enchantment points by leveling up. You level up by killing monsters. When you kill a monster, items can drop. Click on an item to collect it. If it is a one-time use consumable, like bread or a potion for example, then it will be immediately used. Items will be stored in your inventory. You can permanently get rid of your items by salvaging them to collect emeralds. If you salvage an enchanted item, then you will regain all enchantment points that were used on that item so you can use them on a different item. Emeralds are used to buy items from villagers you rescue.There is a main village you revisit after each level.
