AF-model T-45 crash landing WarrenRC 2024-09-01 | In this video, we take a deep dive into the unfortunate crash landing of the AF-model T-45. What started as a promising flight ended in disaster, serving as a costly lesson for all RC jet enthusiasts. The pilot fell behind the power curve, leading to critical errors during the landing approach. First, the high altitude during the base turn required correction, but the pilot nosed the aircraft down without reducing throttle. This added airspeed, causing the T-45 to dive dangerously towards the runway. Second, the increased speed made the jet too fast to land safely. A go-around was initiated too late, and the delayed throttle input failed to prevent the crash. In an attempt to maintain altitude, the pilot pulled back on the elevator without adding power, which induced a sudden loss of airspeed. The right wing stalled due to the loss of lift, resulting in the second stall-related crash for this jet. Unfortunately, it seems the lessons from the first incident weren't fully learned. This video is a stark reminder of the importance of staying ahead of the aircraft, making timely decisions, and understanding the consequences of flight maneuvers. Maiden flight of the Black Horse model MKII 120mm EDF WarrenRC 2024-07-01 | A successful flight on the Balckhorse model Viper MKII 120mm edf. It’s been a great journey from start to finish on this assembly. But it goes without headaches that we ran into. 1st the defective retract that we sent back for warranty. When that arrive we struggled with finding a Jetfan120. All the distributors are out of stock. I ordered a set from hackermotorUSA. They never shipped my order and after a month my order never arrived. I ended up filing a claim with my credit card company and got my money back. Needless to say “I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN”. Overall the build went pretty well not much modifications needed during the assembly.
