This old gem is larger than it seems when approaching and would have homed a large farming family back in the day with lots of hard work and happy times along the way. She is slowly falling down but still has all the old features to see and admire along with the wildlife that has made homes here including a stumpy tailed Lizard that had gotten himself stuck down in a septic pit. This video I find another old home sitting back of the road slowly decaying away. It was quite eerie as it was evening and the old 40`s home gave off a desolate vibe although there was some old things and pieces of furniture left behind. Eerie hidden house now a ghost farm with machinery and retro stuff in sheds left to decay Urbex Indigo 2023-03-04 | Hey explorers! This video I take you all for a look around another ghost farm with an eerie eccentric home. This property looks to have once been a thriving crop and cattle farm. Much of the old pieces of machinery remain in several old sheds including some really cool old vintage stuff from the house. The house itself has been built unusually maze like and is quite a mix of old styles and mixes and as you will see I was not alone in there.......... This old farm house seems to be an original old relic to the surrounding areas including the old sheds full of machinery which seems to have been just forgotten and given up on many many years ago. Lots of things have been left behind here and also stored by the looks. Natural decay and nature are taking over including the old sheds full of machinery and other things gathered over the decades. Many little out building here along with farm hands or shearers quarters. The loving home of a little old lady who was married and was a Grandmother. Her husband passed away and she continued to live here in her humble abode til about the year 2000 it seems when she passed away or perhaps went in to care. Many of her personal items still remain and precious photos depict a happy family but it seems though for what ever reason these belonging were left here to stay with the home........A link below for The Frightened Explorers original explore video shows that the home was a bit more tidy and things not moved around or messed up as in this documentation. So after exploring one not too far away we made our way to this one and it was a huge old Sheep Farm that has been abandoned some years ago. The home itself would have been built around 1900 give or take a few years but had attempts to try spruce up the interiors here and there but something made the owners give up and leave.......SHEDS everywhere that show this place used to be a buzzing hive of activity back in the day. It was a great adventure to finally get to this old gem and see her in beautiful natural decay. Built in the late 1800`s this old cottage seems to have been a sheep farm and even has a hand built shearing shed made from tree logs. Lots of old things still left inside lying around including items and clues to when it was last occupied and attempts to repair the old girl. A blast fro the past for sure with all the little reminders of the olden days we love to think back and imagine about. Today I show you 2 neighboring homes that were built in the early 60`s. Michael spotted these a few weeks ago and we checked them but at that stage not accessible so on this day I was on my way to work and thought I would check them again and this time the gates were open along with the homes. Some flooring had been pulled up in one homes exposing some cool old things and toys in the dirt. A huge double lot with fruit trees and a bird who was keen to get the fruit but then confused on how to get out of the tree coverings! Then a mysterious person turns up!!! The home is actually over 100 years old and as you will see once inside the layers of history start to be recalled. The area of Findon in Adelaide was always known for it`s gardening and farming form yesteryear and this dwelling and parcel of land has been a true survivor up until the last few years. Abandoned- Huge beach front home with pool. Very unique and quirky! Urbex Indigo 2022-11-19 | Hey house lovers and explorers! This video we take a look through a huge home right on the beach front of Adelaide`s west. This home was actually built in the early 90`s and seems to have replaced an old villa that would have been one of the original dwelling`s built here. They have tipped the hat to that former era by including the bay window and also some interiors features such as the mantels and walls. 2 levels of very well naturally lit rooms with a view only a few have in Adelaide! An awesome in ground pool out the real estate pics show this this home when it was lived in and in all it`s glory. Aviemore Former home of Sir Ross and Sir Keith Smith. So much history! Now gone... Urbex Indigo 2022-11-12 | "Aviemore" Former family home of Sir Ross and Sir Keith Smith. Now gone....Aviemore was situated on Stephen Tce, Gilberton and it was built in 1886 with ties to 3 famous families here in Adelaide, South Australia. The most notable being the Smith Family. Ross and Keith were the son`s of Andrew and Jesse and they became worldwide aviating heroes when they won the the great race set out by Australian Prime Minister Billy Hughes in 1919 from England to Australia. They were both Knighted for their efforts.A great summary of these events is provided in the introduction along with the other famed families who owned this old home which include Reginald Kidman Reid the grandson of Sir Sidney Kidman also George Arthur Goyder son of surveyor George Woodroffe GoyderAfter calls for this home to be saved and restored it was unfortunately demolished in July of 2022.Hope you all enjoy the explore and history. As I am working on a few video projects involving some of the detailed and historic homes and sites I thought I would upload another medley of homes which include 2 beautiful character homes that were lost to "progress". The first is a magnificent Tudor style home right on the beach esplanade! So many details and features. Ye a salvage process had started but we still se the home in all its glory via the real estate pics. The second is a very unique gentleman`s style bungalow that is transitioning in to the 30`s interiors of the Grand Tudors. This one also was in salvage but the real estate pics do her justice! The first being built in 1960 and has a blend of both vintage eras of the 50`s and 60`s. Retro kitchen/Bathroom and living room all reminders of the emphasis on style and entertaining. Added real estate pics give more depth once again. The second home is one of the most quirky ones I have filmed and thankfully there are some rreal estate pics to showcase just how much of a 70`s time warp this place was. It was a 1920`s transitional style bungalow that had additions and alterations to create an upstairs living area along with a granny or in law flat adapted downstairs. Abandoned- Huge 2 story Californian style Gentleman`s Bungalow. 3 different Doctors lived here Urbex Indigo 2022-10-01 | Hey house lovers and Explorers! This week I take you through this massive Bungalow for a look. It is early 1920`s Californian style Gentleman`s Bungalow and these were not built for the common worker. This style was for the well to do man and lady and this one was owned first by 3 successive Doctors up until the 1970`s when it became a government run youth welfare home.The home has levels and the upper level seems to be added later perhaps then it became the welfare home. I will do a more detailed follow up regarding history in the future.Yes.........this one is going to be redeveloped and I had been watching this one for access for some time. We get a look before any salvage process has started and to top things of there are also some amazing real estate pics which I have added towards the end showing this gem in immaculate condition fully furnished. Abandoned- Hidden Craftsman bungalow! Original and quirky with old features everywhere! Urbex Indigo 2022-09-24 | Hey house lovers and explorers!This weeks video I take you through a 1915 craftsman style bungalow that is pretty much all still in it`s original condition all while decaying from neglect. Hidden in the overgrowth of it`s former gardens this old gem is a very unique and quirky example of the Arts and Crafts movement that influenced federation era architecture here in Adelaide. Terracotta and ornate chimney`s/leadlight/stucco rendering and an inventive floor plan stand out to me as more than just your standard bungalow. This old girl unfortunately has not received the tender love and care required to stave off decay and foundation issues.............this seems to have lead to a date with the wrecking crew.....Lots of old feature to see here so I hope you all enjoy, cheers for watching :-)

Look can be deceiving from the front but there is room after room after room of old 50`s retro. Unfortunately it is in rough shape and from my understanding it used to be a hoarders home for its last use. It would have started life as a very upper class and expensive one level mansion almost and the art deco themes are classic to revival period also known as waterfall style. This is one that I would absolutely love to see in original condition. Still heaps to see though including a massive lap pool and a hidden shed with stuff in it that almost remained unseen. Abandoned- 2 old relics! A derelict shop with villa and an 1880`s workers cottage Urbex Indigo 2022-09-10 | Hey house lovers and explorers! I have had these couple of explores on file for a little while an as they were in the same old suburb I thought I would put them together for this weeks video. A vintage old street front shop built around 1900 which has the old villa attached although very derelict inside we can still see what was and how things were altered over the decades. The little workers cottage was built in 1880 give or take a few years and was used as a rental up until about 2018. The power was still on and it is a classic example of the row cottages that filled the streets of this old suburb back in the day. A very old working class area with much history. Abandoned- 100 years same family. 4 old homes in Millswood with History and Mystery Urbex Indigo 2022-09-03 | Hey house lovers and explorers!Today we look at 4 old dwelling that all were situated in the suburb of Millswood here in Adelaide, South Australia. 3 were on Mitchell Street and the other close by at the end of Alexander Ave.The first 3 homes are all classic early 1900 sandstone and red brick cottages/villas and I was able to uncover some history on all 3 and find a few old items within the dirt which enables a good old goose chase on Ancestry to unlock some of the mystery and questions it lead me to ask.Joining the dots was easy on some aspects but not so much on a few others which you will see. These old homes can tell us so much about days gone by and how people went about their lives back in the good old days. The last home was a little more recent being and early 501s build and I do also show what has taken the place of a couple of these old gems and you all can feel free to let me know your thoughts in the comments. Today`s video we look at 2 classic old homes with very distinct and contrasting styles.The first being a cottage that was built in 1913 and I found some history of first ownership along with some details of their lives. An iconic corrugated iron clad home with lathe and plaster walls very distinct to the Port Adelaide and surrounding suburbs. The second home was a huge old beach side bungalow down on the esplanade at Semaphore built about 1920.Federation style fireplaces and a bit of a unique build as you will see. While I am working on some larger detailed doco style videos I will be uploading a combination of explores I have had on file for a while and some newbies I have found. The first home in todays video is a purpose built duplex cottage which when inside is a huge place for its time and is part of a land parcel that seems to be going to have an enormous redevelopment very soon. Here are the last 2 old homes from my visit to Victoria recently. The first one is a very secluded one which I found on Google maps and it has been sitting decaying since the 60`s when it seems the last occupants may have been in there, it is a true time capsule but a very run down one with cool old nick nacks/bottle/tins left behind. Distinct feeling of being back in time! The second one is another late 1800 early 1900 cottage that was lived in up til about 2010 then it rapidly fell in to disrepair as you will see. This place always seemed run down and not maintained although lights could be seen on at night. This old country cottage is way out on back roads also and although in rough shape it still has some cool old remnants of the past still inside including period interiors from the late 1800`s to early 1900`s. An old racing guide indicates that the last occupant may have been in 1995. This was a cool little explore as I always love these secluded ones from well back in the past. Now only death remains Urbex Indigo 2022-07-02 | Hey house lovers and explorers!This was a lucky find on another back road while taking the wrong turn.......It did end up feeling like a bit of a horror movie too.A beautiful reminder of what used to be on the outside for this old farm homestead but inside had a darker tone and one room in particular.There was a family living here.......at least a mother with several children. Then they something happened and all the toys and dolls also many furniture items were just abandoned...Now the home sits eerily quiet on a lonely road with secrets within. Hope you all enjoy. Abandoned- Farm house in the middle of no where! Why did they leave? Still a good home. Urbex Indigo 2022-06-29 | Hey house lovers and explorers! This explore is of an old but still very livable old farmhouse that I found way out on back roads pretty much in the middle of no where! Well as close as you can get to that in the farming areas. It did seem very eerie to walk up to as it was so isolated but once inside you could soon tell a happy family with lots of children lived here and it makes me wonder weather the isolation was too much. The home does need some attention and the floors are sagging here and there but I have seen worst than this and it could be saved. Many home like this get vacated and never have another resident.......this may be another one. Hope you all enjoy the explore, cheers for watching :-)
Abandoned- Retro stuff left inside! Cottage needs saving before the ceilings keep collapsing Urbex Indigo 2022-06-25 | Hey house lovers and explorers! This video I find an old country cottage that again is quite secluded although some other farm homes are scattered around the area. This once cosy place seems to have been abandoned mid to late 90`s which seems to be a consistent time frame fro these old country homes I have been finding. Everything has been left behind and the front 2 rooms are now starting to the ceiling collapse which will soon make the rest of the home follow unfortunately.Lots of retro things to look at and this place could be a great little getaway place or even a home again if it were to be saved soon! Abandoned- Lonely old country farm house on a hill left to decay. What happened here? Urbex Indigo 2022-06-22 | Hey house lovers and explorers! This video I am still out in rainy cold Victoria where I found an eerie looking old 30`s bungalow style farm house that sits on the side of a hill.Vacant for a long time it seems probably the late 80`s or early 90`s. The old place is weathered and weary but has cool old things left including art deco features and also old wainscoting which made me think it was added to at some point in the 30`s.The place has very old sheds that were made of logs and I really wonder about who lived here and if they passed away leaving the home to just decay away gradually. Abandoned- Creepy Angry Secluded Farm House with stuff. Abandoned since the 90`s Urbex Indigo 2022-06-18 | Hey house lovers and explorers! This video is one of my fav type explores where I find a secluded old overgrown farm house via Google maps and know absolutely nothing about it until I drive out and try find it in which I did and it was located at the end of an old disused driveway. Abandoned from the late 90`s and many items have been left behind with a less than welcoming and quite disturbing presence from this old place! There were loads of old sheds and things sitting around to look at and wonder about. This was a really cool adventure and ticked all the boxes for me as an abandoned discovery explore to get the adrenaline going :-) Hope you all enjoy the video, cheers for watching :-)
Abandoned- Eerie secluded farm house with stuff/Shed stuff! 2 Possums on film! Urbex Indigo 2022-06-15 | Hey house lovers and explorers! :-0This video I find an abandoned old farm house out on back roads and stop off to check it out. It had a very eerie nervous feel to it and looks to have been vacant since the 90`s with a mixture of items left in the homes and many out in the back shed.Not only did this place have that eerie lonely feel it had a couple of residents that I bumped in to! I am not sure who was scared more me or them!!!! :-) It was a great explore in the end and had everything I love about finding an old home out in the country. Abandoned- 4 old cottages with stuff left while nature reclaims them in the countryside Urbex Indigo 2022-06-11 | Hey house lovers and explorers! Today`s video I have 4 very old country cottages that are just sitting slowing decaying. The first 3 are actually in a row and have been vacated at different times over the years with the occupants just up and leaving a lot of things behind which creates a great visual with the decay and many questions as usual. They would have to have been built about 1900 give or take a few years.The last cottage is located on a site that almost looks like it was last used as a weekend getaway but originally started out as a functioning farm back in the day. Several old building here but the cottage is one that could easily date back to the 1850`s/60`s.Hope you all enjoy, cheers for watching :-)

These 2 are out on lonely roads and both are from around the 1930`s .The first home is a decent signs and is showing more sign of decay and neglect as the second home seems to have had a decent attempt at starting some sort of renovation which just stopped. Abandoned- Huge villa converted to hostel now neglected plus 2 homes up for demo Urbex Indigo 2022-06-01 | Hey house lovers and explorers!Today we look at a grand old federation era villa that was converted and added to for student accommodation but seems to have served it`s purpose as it now sits vacant and damaged.The second 2 homes are from the late 30` early 40`s but had heavy remodeling done and were in the throws of salvage.
