Vanta Black holds a special place in my heart as one of my all-time favorite songs I've created, whether for TRIA or FE2. As I once shared on my now-inactive Discord: " While yes many took my place doing this certain activity for TRIA. it is always good to look back on doing something that I truly love doing most." And that's true—I deeply enjoy helping with others' projects, and making music is one of the ways I contribute.With its release yesterday and today, I'm happy to have contributed to Aquas project. While talented artists like Ludo, Jor, and others have provided music for TRIA projects, I'm grateful to still make an appearance here and there, and today we have it with Vanta Black.Now for the talk about the song. Since of its industrial nature I went with a Leon Riskin, Waterflame, and Creo kind of vibe, I felt this would have worked given the maps muddy, and bright nature. I wanted to balance a mix of futuristic and sci-fi elements, combined with classical and cinematic elements. During the third revision I made it full, and more rich to make it better fitting for the map. During the end I went full on trance with inspiring off Electric Universe, Faders, and Avalon as my go to to make a very atmospheric and symbolic tone. Finaly, I touched back with the og TOE bgm to fulfil this very expressive song. This was for D4rk and Rice Insane Insular Solstice map. When they asked me I said yes because I was at a road block for music for my current alias @RFA0BDY . I tried to do something that most composers don't do which is attempt to sync to the gameplay and theming of the map and I believe I did it well. With the guitars to the violas I do feel I produced an emotional and dynamic song for them. I spent a culminating of 40 hours researching composing and mixing this song and I believe I pulled it off well. It does something different than what is known in the current state of Flood Escape (or as T.os says it "Escape") genre music and I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it and I very much appreciate you asking me.
