Real-Time FilmsUniversal Nodes update. Blur and Sharpness might seem like small features, but I always wanted these. Sure you can always do them in Photoshop, but I think avoiding round trips to photoshop encourages experimentation. Do other DCC have these in material editor ? Blur and Sharpness ? And some more showcasing of controllers in node format. Next demo will have everything at the same time in the Canvas: Maps, materials, objects, lights, all interacting.

Unfortunately I found out quite late about this competition and I decided even later to join in, so I only had a few days to work on it. I wish I had a few days more so I can polish and tweak a little longer. But still, I'm grateful for the opportunity, it was a nice exercise.

Most of the clips were recorded straight from the viewport, so for now none of the clips are actually true 4k, they are just 1080p up-resized to 4k. I hope I can find a similar solution for volumetrics in 3ds max. This motion blur is the result of my R&D for my film project.
As far as I know, no current engine (including cryengine) can simulate this type of motion blur where you pan the camera behind close objects like foliage or railing or other objects. This type of filming usually occur in most movies at some point and if you don't have a raytrace motion blur you will get the artifacts shown in this comparison.
Ignore the low quality render and the default crysis character. This film is only for motion blur comparison. In the future I will upload better quality comparisons with more examples. I will also compare this with cryengine 3 object motion blur. - The slowed down footage in the second half is for a better comparison

If you turn off the terrain, ocean, clouds, you feel almost like in a 3ds max viewport. Except 3ds max doesn't have voxel modeling and in 2007 was far from having so many effects in viewport.
Some of video parts are quite old and I made them only in low res.
