Bad Drivers in Ireland 2 JWIRL 2025-07-21 | These are clips from my visit to Ireland 6 years after my last time I was there. Some things I should mention off the bat; 1. Both vehicles are manuals. 2. There are no clips of Dublin (where I was born) because there wasn't any reason to go there.3. Terrible Collision!!! (07/22/2024) JWIRL 2024-07-26 | I was on my way home from Edmonton when suddenly a black Dodge Ram rear ends a dark green Honda Accord. The driver of the Ram panicked by holding the gas pedal instead of the brakes pushing the Accord and I almost become part of the accident.At first, I thought the noise was coming from the other side of the road until I looked in my rearview mirror and saw both vehicles headed straight for me. Out of instinct, I moved to left of the lane I was in and just barely missed them by inches (Yes, it was that close in person). Thankfully, both drivers are fine as far I can tell. This experience, however, truly terrified me considering I was this close to getting into a nasty wreck that could've not only injure me but also my mother (who doesn't drive) in the passenger seat. Not the best way to end a day of mother and son bonding that's for sure!Location: St. Albert, Alberta, Canada.

Road Rage with Impatient Driver. (01/31/2023) JWIRL 2023-02-14 | For those expecting the next "Bad Drivers in Alberta" video: Don't worry, I have two ready to be out in the following week.I was literally leaving campus when this guy, who apparently had the ability to see through solid objects (I didn't), gets upset with me being cautious when trying to make a left turn. He honks his horn at me (I didn't hear it due to the music being played on the radio) once I found the opportunity to safely turn into the lane closest to me, he went into the other lane. As I was about to get into right hand lane, I notice him speeding up. So I did the most logical thing to do in a situation like this: cancel my turn signal, let the driver pass, and change lanes after he passed by. But all that did was cause him to lose his mind and swerve left and right behind me, leaving me confused on what he wants me to do, and then gives me the WTF gesture as he drove passed me. I don't know the reason why he changed lanes left and right after he passed me, maybe he was having a bad day.Location: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Unexpected Road Rage! (01/05/2023) JWIRL 2023-01-06 | It hasn't been a week and already, I pissed off a snowflake on the road. Driver in a red Chevrolet Cobalt SS was trying to prepare for a turn further up the road and tried to force his way in front of me. I didn't know he was signalling because my driver side A pillar blocked my view of his taillights. Just because the DASHCAM sees it, doesn't mean the DRIVER sees it!!!After the honk, he gets over but gets spooked by a Peace Officer (who had no idea what was going on) in the lane beside me. The cop was being nice to the driver and giving him room to change lanes. The cop braked hard as I was passing by because he thought the Cobalt driver was turning into the mall on the right. Cobalt driver was so butthurt over the honk he tried to provoke me in front of the cop (to get us both pulled over, I'm guessing), but failed. I didn't even know I upset him that much until I saw him giving me the bird.Location: St. Albert, Alberta, Canada.

We've had temperatures as low as -37 degrees celsius (-35 degrees Fahrenheit) during the night this week. It's so bad in fact, if you break down and/or get into a nasty crash, you'll be expecting at least a day or two for a tow truck to come help (depending on availability), this was information spread from numerous radio stations in the area. There have been very bad collisions this month, no deaths as far as I know, yet there are drivers that still, despite the conditions, speed, tailgate, cut off other drivers (wether they've used turn signals or not), and not paying attention to traffic in front of them (I almost got rear ended by one such moron, who was following me too closely ON ICEY ROAD CONDITIONS, just the other day). Treacherous Winter Collision (11/30/2022) JWIRL 2022-12-08 | A Toyota Highlander was attempting to turn left against a red light for the left turn lane. There are a lot of these throughout St. Albert Trail. When the lights for the traffic coming from the right was turning to red, the Highlander turned in front of traffic that still had a green light. The truck driver did all they could do to avoid the collision but made contact with the Highlander.Embarrassingly, I didn't notice any of this until I reviewed the dash cam footage afterwards. I don't even know how I didn't notice this happening right in front of me, so don't bother asking! I thought this was a hit and run type of situation which is why I didn't go when it turned green.A firefighter got out of their fire truck to speak to the Highlander driver and calmed her down. Confused by the whole situation, I asked the firefighter what had happened, she informed me on what happened, then I went on my way.Location: St. Albert, Alberta, Canada.

Road Rage Encounter with a Male Karen! (11/09/2022) JWIRL 2022-11-11 | I've never encountered a Karen before until this day when a driver who wasn't too familiar with St. Albert (he was driving a rental car) wanted to change lanes right in front of me. I guess he never expected anyone to refuse to let him over or he always had the mindset of expecting kindness from others when on the road (I wouldn't, trust me). But he was too close to me in order to make a safe lane change, so I refused to let him over. FYI: Changing lanes and merging are the NOT the same thing, they're similar in concept, but they don't quite work the same way as some people are lead to believe. It's a kind gesture to let someone over when they're changing lanes, but you're not required to by law. When merging, for sure. The exceptions to this is if that lane is ending and/or closed off due construction, broken down car, car crash, etc. Neither of which was the case here!He honks at me (which is pointless, again this is CHANGING LANES, NOT MERGING! Please refer to the previous paragraph!), I honk back, he gets upset and drives along side me for a bit. I wasn't the better man in this situation by giving him the bird (I was tired after a tough personal training session I had just finished up and was headed for home), but at least I didn't act like a child like he did when I pointed the dashcam to him. I didn't have to, but I was boxed in by the traffic, meaning I was trapped and I didn't want him to get out and possibly pull me out or punch and/or kick my car, it was the only thing I could resort to. Pickup Truck Road Rage! (4/19/2022) JWIRL 2022-04-20 | There was conflict between a Buick sedan and a 2000's Dodge Ram. I didn't notice them at first because I was checking for traffic to my left. Either the Buick cut off the driver of the Ram or the Ram driver tailgated the Buick and got brake checked. I'm assuming the latter considering I saw the Buick driver was yelling back at the guy and not waving sorry as I was turning. But your guess is as good as mine.Location: St. Albert, Alberta, Canada.
