China successfully broke the myth and found its pathway to modernization, said Professor Wang Dong, the executive director of the Institute for Global Cooperation and Understanding at Peking University, while addressing the Global South Think Tanks Forum in Beijing. He also stressed that modernization is a collective enterprise.
"China will never accept, and I don't accept either, the hegemony of the United States," said Grzegorz Kolodko, director of the TIGER think tank of Kozminski University in Warsaw, during his speech at the Global South Think Tanks Forum in Beijing. He stressed that the United States has to understand that the era of hegemony is over and that the multipolar era has begun.
