Iceway Landing (B18) - Alton Bay, NH - Feb. 8, 2014 David Hurlburt 2014-02-09 | If you haven't landed at the Iceway at Alton Bay, NH, you have to try it! This is the only FAA and state sanctioned Iceway in the U.S. The runway is 2600' x 100' with a 40' wide taxiway. The Iceway has been in operation for more than 30 years and is typically open from late January or early February into March. Both planes are original and completely restored. The pilots and passengers had breakfast at Nancy's Air Field Cafe and gave the crowd a fly by as they lifted off to their next adventure.
