DARK LIPS TO PINK LIPS (DIY) How to lighten pigmented lips naturally (Skin Care) Soul Activation Keys 2014-08-27 | So many of you lovely ladies have asked me for a DIY treatment for Pigmented and dark lips, and today I’ll be sharing my I’ll be sharing my step-by-step DIY guide to lighten dark lips!! :)We can’t really change your lip colour if you were born with naturally pigmented lips, there are factors like smoking, excess intake of caffeine, heavy exposure to sunlight, and dehydration that cause the darkening of lips. Shelf life of a regular lipstick is 1 1/2 years - 2 years. If you use it after that, and especially after the scent of the product changes, it increases the risk of your lips reacting to that product, and that may cause darkening of lips. STEPS-1. The first step is to make your own lip exfoliator.You can either use a toothbrush and very gently exfoliate your lips with it in circular motions, or just simply mix olive oil with some caster sugar, and use that to exfoliate your lips everyday.This promotes growth of new skin cells, which in turn helps to lighten your lips.2. Mint is such a commonly found yet little, if not at all, talked about beauty secret to lighten the dark lips. It lightens the lips more quickly than most of the beauty treatments that I have tried! To get this mint juice, all you have to do is to let mint leaves soak into some water, and then you are going to put it into a mixer, and then using sieve, you are going to extract the juice out of the mixture.Right after you exfoliate your lips, you are going to take cotton wool pad to apply the mint juice onto your lips, and then let it sink into your lips for about 5 minutes. This doesn’t need to be washed off.This juice will last you for about 4 - 5 days in fridge, and just so there’s no wastage, you can also use it a face toner everyday, and it’s really good for acne and blemishes.3. The third quick step is to apply your favourite 100% natural lip balm.These days I’m loving applying just 100% natural shea butter directly on my lips, and it has made my lips super soft.
