Reviving the Famicom Network System

Throaty Mumbo 2026-08-14 | In what ended up becoming my longest project yet, I attempt to breathe life back into the elusive Famicom Network System - which is essentially Nintendo's first serious attempt at an online networking interface. Unfortunately this thing wasn't really made to play video games (only one actual game was released for it), and all the software depends on ancient phone networks that are long dead...
