Hi Everyone!

My inspirational book for the month of April was Riverman by Ben McGrath. This book was well written but I had trouble connecting with the person that was the focus of the book.

Living outside for months at a time sounds incredibly difficult. McGrath does an excellent job of bringing the difficulties to life in this very sad story.
My inspirational books are to support a personal walking challenge that I have for 2024. All of the books selected come from top books for outdoor adventures which is a passion of mine.

Little Free Library Tour - Exploring Mercer Island WA for the BEST #lfl

What an amazing day in the Pacific Northwest. I took advantage of the beautiful sunshine and went searching for Little Free Libraries! This is one of my favorite things to do, especially when I have a big stack of books to unhaul.

I ended up going all over Mercer Island, WA. My route originally had 9 #lfl BUT I couldn't find several of them. The ones it did fine were all very appropriate for the Pacific Northwest.

I hope you enjoy the tour. I ended up not picking up any books though I always seem some when I put the video together 🤷‍♀️

The two books in this video are at opposite ends of the spectrum for me. One I loved and one I hated and should have DNF'd! I knew after the first chapter that it wasn't for me but continued on. The pieces that I really didn't like reduced down significantly after the first chapter but I never really got to the point where it was an enjoyable read.

I finally broke down and bought some books! I joined the read what you own challenge on November 5th (I think) and haven't bought a book since that date! I ended up reading over 50 books from my shelves but didn't quite get to my goal of having my TBR under 200 books. I still think I will make it to that milestone this year! We shall see!

Wow, February has been just an absolutely hectic month. So much has been happening.
I am so sorry that I haven't been around much and wanted to give everyone a glimpse of what has been happening!

I ended up switching out my inspirational book for the 3 million step challenge. The Trail of the Lost by Andrea Lankford became available at my library and I couldn't help immediately picking it up! It was a great read with a lot of information about how searches are conducted when hikers go missing. I can't say that I will be doing a thru hike any time soon! It is a great read though and I would definitely recommend picking it up!
