Foot Fault, or Not? George Murphy 2025-08-03 | A controversial rally, late in a close game. Walter was forced to the sidelines, out of bounds, and then he came through the kitchen when returning to the court and hit a volley winner. Walter's play was called good, but there was some doubt about whether he established both feet on the ground outside of the kitchen before striking his volley.This video shows the entire rally in normal speed, followed by close-up slow-motion look at Walter's volley. The jury is out.My opinion? It was a fault. We don't have an unobstructed view of Walter's right foot throughout his entire trek through the kitchen, because our view is blocked for a moment by Roger, but I'm confident that the right foot never landed until after the volley.

Erne Defended George Murphy 2025-08-02 | I managed to execute an erne, but my opponents saw it developing and defended it well. My team was lucky to win the rally. I did step in the kitchen as I cut the corner and approached the net for the erne, but I did get both of my feet down on the ground outside of the kitchen before I struck my volley. The rally is shown first at normal speed, followed by a closer slow-motion view of the erne that confirms it was legal.

In this clip, it takes less than 4 minutes.I clean one side of the court, then I repeat the process on the other side of the net.I use a leaf blower to clear small debris, hose it down to get it wet, apply mild detergent mixed with water, sweep the court with a broom to brush the soapy water around to get rid of dirt, hose it off again, and then use a large squeegee to push the water off.
